"Stay Flesh" is their command to us human subjects, because that's how they view us: as walking bags of flesh. And who am I to argue with our amphibian autocrats?

Indeed, the pronunciation guide on Wikipedia compares it to the "tt" in "better". As such, it's actually "Stay Fttesh!", which is the name of the Elder Thing that they worship (and which is likely what lets them come back from the dead in Turf Wars). Marina, being an Octoling, looks nervous because she doesn't know the correct method of worship to Fttesh, and as such is afraid of performing sacrilege by accident and getting smited.
I love how they tried to use skipping Sheldon's descriptions as a selling point for the game.

@@Amber_freeman Nope, it's nerfed. Now, the Ink Armor only negates up to 100 points of damage. Once you exceed that, it's dealt to the player. So if you get sniped by an E-Liter, your armor breaks and you are at 20 points of health left. Before, Ink Armor prevents you from being splatted by an otherwise fatal combo of shots, and that's no longer the case. So if anyone's able to deal over 200 points of damage at once, you still get splatted.

omg same i hate luna blasters so much. maybe they nerfed them XD
As a Luna main I feel these aren't OP if there is an enemy Luna you have to be cautious of them and zone them out. Which I understand can be difficult at times given certain situations. But seeing as the Luna is outranged by literally every weapon in the game, zoning it out shouldn't be too bad.

i still love this direct today. even tho after splatoon 2 ‘ended’ after the final splatfest and i sorta had a break to play some other amazing games, i still love this game and is getting back in the splatoon mood, we hope you make a splatoon 3

Coming back to this made me really sad. I miss the content updates and the Splatfests. I remember every single month eagerly going to my best friend's house after work so we could try the new stage and keep playing for hours because new stages had were always available during the first 24 hours after the update. I also remember going to her house every month for every single Splatfest, and waiting until it was 10:00 pm to start playing until it was 2:00-3:00 am and we both reached queen rank. I also remember when Octo Expansion was announced and we completely freaked out, and then when it was released we played it to finish all the levels without skipping any of them. This game has been really important to me and it's the game I've played and loved the most. Sadly, there are no more content updates or Splatfest and I don't think I'll never be as excited for a game until we get Splatoon 3. It was two long years, but it feels so short to me. I wish it would've lasted longer. Anyway, thank you Nintendo, because this game means a lot to me and it even helped me to stay in touch with that friend in such a complicated time of my life. I cherish this game, what it means and how it helped me stay close to my best friend. This game means a lot to me and I don't know what would be of me if I hadn't played it. Thank you!!
