  • Great game. Two excellent teams, two world class coaches. Louisville won the National Championship this year, no matter what the NCAA says.

    • What's interesting is that Michigan had to vacate all sorts of games from the 90's, including Final 4 appearances. Go look at some of those games--you won't see 80 Michigan fans whining about the games being vacated or saying "WE WON THIS GAME!!!!" etc.

I can't can't see Rick cheating to recruit 3/4 star players. The city of Louisville can attract any player without money or hookers. The city of Louisville is historic and a beautiful city and we have a great loyal supporting fanbase. Our Cards play in a NBA ready Arena aka the KFC yum center. • The best defense I have ever seen in College basketball. Louisville is a very well coached team. I knew, after watching them destroy Syracuse a few weeks prior to the final dance, that they'd win the championship. They trap hard; they switch on defense hard; they rotate over extremely well; its just beautiful to watch. What a great team. Rick Pitino is a hell of a coach.

They led the nation that year in fewest mistakes with less than 10burnovers per game and only had 11 in this championship game against the Louisville cheaters who had to vacate their NC. The refs screwed UM the whole game. Both teams played tough defense but Louisville got the calls thanks to anti UM, anti BIG TEN bigoted referees.

  • One of the best championship games in recent memory. Both teams went back and forth the entire game. This game and this Louisville team really showed how great of a coach Rick Pitino is. Just ONE player from this entire 2013 roster gets solid minutes in the pros, Gorgui Dieng. Rick had one NBA player to work with and he still got it done. If you look at the title teams from this decade, each team has 2-5 pro players on it except for this Louisville squad. Hall of Fame was well deserved. And to top it all off, Kentucky just got done losing to Robert Morris in the NIT even with the 2nd best recruiting class in the nation. Go Cards!!!!

    • We definitely would have won in 2014. We led Kentucky most of the game in the sweet 16. That's my worst game ever as a Louisville fan. That one was even worse than losing to them in the 2012 Final Four because we weren't even supposed to make it that far in 2012, we just got hot at the right time and went on a run. And in 2014 UConn won it all, who Louisville beat THREE times that season.

  • Rick Pitino, the first coach to win championship titles at two different schools .. I think, but more importantly in the same state. I always come back to this game and occasionally I'll watch the five overtime game facing Notre Dame that year which was the last time Louisville lost that year. We called it the year of the Cardinal but the football Orange bowl, men's basketball champs number one overall seed and then women's basketball lady cards fell short. Not being a homer but I can't argue. This is one of the best national championship games that I've seen or we witnessed. I also felt that the previous year 2012 when Louisville and Kentucky matched up in the final four that whoever won that game was going to get that title.. But again Cheers to Michigan! Freaking great team!

    • Different sport for me but about a week before this game I absolutely broke down and cried when it ended for two reasons. One it was something I thought I would never see and two was a personal reason. My dad who was a fan had died about 3 months earlier and I know how much this would have meant to him and knowing he wasn't here to see it caused me to have an emotional time. The wound was still raw from losing my dad shortly before and the emotion just poured out. And FWIW it was the 2013 NCAA Hockey tourney and our(we went to the same school) ended up in the Frozen Four for the 1st time ever.

The masterminds, their jobs maybe because with all of that behind the scenes shennanigans, they still didn't have questionably or significantly great players. And likely all players were not involved. NCAA decision seems excessive and vindictive. Doesn't change the truth however and still today six years later, people are still watching that game. So Louisville keeps winning over and over again and again and ifinitely. GO CARDS FOREVER!

  • Wow..what a great game watching it again. Some Michigan fans and UK fans may try to say that Michigan got robbed, which makes no sense, because there were little controversial calls at all. And if you wanna bring up officiating, how about Chane Behanan getting absolutely hacked while getting 3 or 4 offensive rebounds in a row, and no calls? There are tons more very questionable calls, but none even with 2 or 3 minutes left. It was all basketball then. Louisville was clearly the better team and is clearly one of the best teams that played together and when playing together is almost unstoppable. There is no denying that. That Louisville team is arguably one of the best ever. It may have not been full of NBA stars, but great team players and college basketball players. Lets not forget they have a Hall of Fame coach on the sideline.

    @EthanSprowles@EthanSprowles10 жыл бұрын
    • Lets also not forget that Michigan had a 16 point lead that Louisville completely dominated. That comeback was all Louisville. Even if it wasn't you can't argue officiating when Michigan blew such a big lead. That team was full of fighters, they were not going to loose that game.
