  • To really understand how this dude won is not looking at the stage - but at the crowd. Everyone wants joy, being able to uplift an entire theatre - not including the viewers at home, every single performance. Even the comments on this video are almost exclusively people sharing how he makes them smile every time. Honestly, it’s more than talent - it’s a true gift.

As in he went to actual Clown school in France and trained under legendary clown and comedy playwright and director Philippe Gaulier. That also explains his confidence on stage, like the dude got the crowd in the palm of his hand.

There was always another high vis vest on top of another shirt on top of another high vis vest... and it never looked like he was even wearing that much layers from the start, so you go from amused to entertained to bored of the concept to utter disbelief at how many times he takes a layer off... and he's still only half way there so you just end up in a state of like catatonic joyous belly laughter at the sheer ridiculousness of it all! I think we, as humans, can take life (and ourselves) wayyyy too seriously. His act lightens the load. It's just pure silliness. And there's definitely a need for that, to just be silly sometimes. Cause otherwise life can start to feel too heavy. And he does have talent. He knows how to work the crowd and bring a lot of energy. Think his Semi final was his best piece of work - but it was how he built his act though the rounds which was brilliant. And for all those haters saying it’s just a guy in a high Vis vest - the guy is a trained clown and professional comedian.
