First series win of the year thanks to Walter having another dominant performance. That Cutter has been an outstanding addition to his pitch mix so far. Julio getting a couple hits and also making multiple amazing defensive plays is a nice thing to see. Hope for the sweep tomorrow with Bryce.
As a D-Backs fan, it's fantastic to see Rojas doin' his thing!! Got a hit, great tag at 3rd...good stuff!!
Doing so much better at the plate now, bringing the count up to full just like yesterday. Not drawing the walks but it is an improvement!

Bad news: another 15 strikeouts for our hitters, 12 men LOB and 1-7 RISP shows last night's win was an outlier. Good news: an M's win - I'll take it. Go M's!

M's are entirely too dependent on their pitching. As a team they are ranked 28 out of the 30 mlb teams in average team runs scored, averaging just 3.39 runs per game, right ahead of Oakland. So, the M's will win games as long as they hold their opponents to less than 3 runs. Yeah, let's see how that works out. But, I've been a fan since 1977, and this year doesn't look any worse than the last 47! Go, M's!

Great to see an umpiring crew running a tight ship, being able to reverse the blown call at home plate so quickly and getting the time play right with the tag on Elly DLC. Wish Libka had been more consistent on balls and strikes, but compare it to umpires 15, 20 years ago who never reversed anything and threw a fit at the first sign of dissent, there's really been a sea change in umpiring.

Nah, that's Fraley's fault 100%. He's got speed and easily could have scored. Aggressive base running from one of the fastest guys in the league down two late in a game wasn't the problem here.
@@apocello42 I second this. No reason that run should not have counted. Fraley seemed out of it. Had a horrible steal to second that should have been safe all day and then doesn't sprint home to give us that run. Nothing wrong with Elly trying to take third. Not sure if the 3rd base coach told him to slide wide left and he missed it or if the base coach didn't expect such a good throw. Nonetheless, we ran into some outs that could have been prevented and gave up a run that should have been an out at home when Mahle couldn't secure the throw from Elly.

Because as I've said many times over the years: the league HATES us. You notice on Amazon Prime the Mariners haven't featured in the games to watch since Spring Training yet the Astros (who are behind the A's and looking terrible) are featured nearly every day no matter who they're playing. I bet when we get to the time where we play them, the game will mysteriously not be covered. Oh and it took over two and a half hours to post our highlights but they posted the highlights for the A's game that ran at the same time ours did at just before 10

@jillbelas7266 okay, that doesn't make sense. If you go that route at the beginning of today the Cards were 8-9 and the Reds were 9-7 so technically the Reds were more important
