I wish there was an online multiplayer for two people to help each other out! So basically you’d have sonic and knuckles going through ALL of sonic 3 and k together! Imagine sonic and knuckles fighting through sky sanctuary together 😮😮
Imagine if in hidden palace (the sonic and knuckles version not the sonic 2 version) the players had to fight EACH OTHER (think something like the shadow fight in generations
you can do that on every version of sonic 2 and 3 except the mobile one, you play normally with 2 controllers and the second player can move tails

this could've actually made origins a formidable game also sonic staying behind for a second and then blasting past knuckles is so in-character (1:41)

@@gamercentral2417 that could be hard to fix , if the problem is about the way tails works , they would have to recode the entire AI , which can be hard
So basically there's a multiplayer for playing all the zones together with a friend but unfortunately there isn't no online (I completed sonic 3 with my bro)

This is really cool and this has a lot of potential I think it would be fun trolling random people and maybe a win system and if you win a game then you get coins and over all this would be a fun experience so I really hope that Sega sees this and decides to make it or at least something in this sort of theme. The Sega Megadrive and Genesis Classics on Steam already has official online multiplayer support and it contains Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The Kega Fusion emulator also supports this and it works pretty well.

Sega needs to do this feature for sonic origins and sonic mania.
We can only dream. Sega doesn’t do the amazing shit Nintendo can pull off. I like both companies though.

Should had added a power-up attack feature like in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle that harms the other player if it was to be just Competition Play.

It's actually not an animation. This was recorded in the offline multipayer mode in Sonic Origins, but without the stretched screens.

Maybe for not just a racing feature in the online multipler maybe you evem could play the game normally with online friends trying to both work together to beat the story basically and even the levels

Pin this. Seems like most people here aren't aware of the 2013 Christian Whitehead remaster of sonic 2. It stayed exclusive to mobile until origins came out. It actually had (and still has) online multiplayer, which was taken out in origins in favor of the local multiplayer. But it's a *NIGHTMARE* to find a match tho

To do online multiplayer you have to use playstation and share play but both of you need playstation plus but it would still have split screen
But fr though if they went all out we would have customization Online and Offline multiplayer More characters Extra extra concept And references And even extra sonic games And mini games and also don't forget bug fixes
