  • Reading books, writing, and listening a lot will change the whole thing and take you to another level. Pronunciation is key, but accent is not as important, and one should not concern too much about it. After all, British, Canadians, Irish, etc., all have different accents, so it doesn't really matter as long as people understand you. Read books, write a lot, and listen a lot. Be patient. Never give up.
