We need more low roof van build videos! Not everyone can afford the high top. Thank you for this. Now I just need to see some indoor showers in low tops to see how viable that is.
Ha! I'll have a few more low-roof builds but none have a shower for ya. Thanks for the feedback!!
@@forayconcept3389 wow thanks for responding!
If you want a higher top on a budget look at the Chevy Express 1500 conversion vans. I got a '98 with low miles earlier this year for $4000 and its a perfect size.
@@JeremyAiken thank you, but those are not very stealthy. I'm hoping to find something that will just look like a work van from the outside.
@@breadfan_85 true.... i'm mostly camping or out of any built up areas
This is by far, the finest econoline build I've seen on youtube. The attention to detail, and the overall layout is FANTASTIC.
Thank you so much for watching and giving your feedback. Truly appreciated!!
best e150 video ever
Really enjoyed the simple, somewhat modern design + the color scheme. There's definitely something to be said for doing a van build in a rugged, simple way. Sturdy, less to go wrong. 👍
Thanks for the feedback David!
You can easily see the great workmanship. Great built.
THAT IS SO AWESOME ! I have a 2011 Ford Econoline. I cannot even believe what you did with the space ! WOW just WOW ! love it !
This is the best I have seen. So professional! I think maybe a cabinet could be above the sink for food storage.
Thanks for the feedback and kudos Letha! A cabinet could definitely go in that area, especially since it's not in an area to hit one's head. Although it is nice to leave that line of sight open when in the drivers seat so you can be checking for blind spots. Always a give a take with these!!
Great job! I have a suggestion: make a work or dinning space adding a foldable table attached to the left side of the cabinet, opening to the right side of the bench!
Thanks for watching, the comment and the suggestion!
You did a great van build on this. It looks fantastic. Keep up the good work. She's going to love it. 👍😎
Thanks 👍, it's been taken out regularly since leaving the shop which is an awesome thing!
The cuts on the magazine rack....also; piano hinges ALWAYS on the inside. Gap in wood always looks better than brass. Nice build brother
Really Loved your video, filled with great ideas and lay-out for the van, I will keep you in mind for my van build. Keep on Building !! 🌟🚐🥰
Thank you! Hope to keep turning out some inspirational content here and yes, let us know if you ever need some assistance.
Thank you so much for this! I am currently shopping for a Ford Econoline to build myself. Well thought-out builds like this that are easy to follow are fantastic. Looks beautiful btw!
Thank you so much and best of luck on finding a van and building it out!!
a well thought out beautiful build....with the mighty Douglas Fir!!!!!
Thank you Jason! Yes, it is my favorite but unfortunately don't get to use it too much with the vans. There were some issues using this wider grain of fir but all in all it has held up quite well for the client.
This looks beautiful. It is well thought out, and uses the space so well!
Thank you so much! I agree, its cozy but effective.
I agree. The van looks great. I like what you did there.
Awesome work! Can really tell you put a lot of effort into this. Love the layout too, it's so simple compared to a lot of builds, yet it still has a ton of storage and everything you would need. Definitely going to check out your other videos as well!
Thank you so much for the feedback and interest. The layout is unique and has proven to be very effective for the owner. Cheers!
One of the best builds I’ve seen in a van. Very thoughtful, very precise n a great use of the space. I could love living in that! Great job indeed!
Thanks so much! Crazy, we have this van back in the shop for a remodel. Client had a high top put on so we are changing it up a bit!! Stay tuned and thanks for the comments!!
That’s the best conversion I’ve seen. Part camper van, part day coach. Well-done. The layout is unique. Your attention to detail is worth noting. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the feedback! Hope to have more content here soon on some other vans that are wrapping up.
Love how you did the bed, and the wardrobe. Great layout.
Thanks so much and glad you liked it!
I like that you pay attention to your woodworking finish. Majority of the van builds i see here in YT are low par. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Unfortunately too much solid wood in these can be a bad thing but still trying to find that balance between natural products and longterm reliability/stability.
Thank you so much for the inspiration this gives to people like me Fun to see what could be 😊 Very nice of you to take the time to show your amazing effort and designs This is honestly one of the best that I've seen for this type of van. Good job 🎉
very helpful video. Loved the extra touches like the added storage near the sink & the overhang storage near the foot step! Thanks. Hope you keep the videos coming on your future builds :)
Thank you Sarah! And yes, I'll try to keep them coming. There are some fun projects coming down the pike.
Love the video especially love the part with the shore power hook up.
Thanks Micheal! I'll have more details for you here shortly!!
Beautiful build!!!
Beautiful wood work! Nice job! -- on the pull up tray on the side of your cabinet, I put a backing piece on mine, and a 1x3 leg that drops down, with a padding. and that way, when you pull up the - useable top, for a stove or such, you got a real secure support! Liked it when you mentioned the cubby hole to pull yourself up! I am working on that problem right now! My health deteriated and I don't have my balance, and strength to do what I use to do. One other thing I just did today, I wanted more floor space by my door. So I put a 3/4" Ply piece on the bottom of the door. Then put 2 heavy duty brackets on that , with a - like a shelf on that which is even with the floor, and now I have that for setting my chair on, as before it would go into the well/ step! Keep it up! Like your work! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the feedback and info on your van. The table that I showed ended up not being stout enough for the client so I reengineered it to use some locking arms. Further, the client wanted to have a place to set up her stove at the back of the van so we made a drop down table out back as well. Always evolving the design as it sounds like you are as well. Keep it up!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! I just bought a 2000 E-150 and I’m about to get started renovating it. I’m gonna use this layout (with a few small changes)
Awesome! Have fun and go get it!!
I really like the cabinets ! Great job !
Thanks so much!
Wow- the quality and thoughtful details are exceptional.
Thank you very much! Appreciate the feedback.
It's beautiful. Great craftsmanship.

You did a beautiful craftsmanship on the van.

Wow, I wish you were not so far away!!! I have a Grand Caravan I want converted. I have watched many videos of conversions and yours is by far the best!!!! and LOVE the color!!!!
I've done some work with minivans, it's a fun challenge! Let me know if I can be of any help.
I've seen hundreds of van build videos, literally, this was well done and btw your great at narrating n your voice is easy to listen to, subscribed! Thx sir
Wow, thank you! Really appreciate the feedback and humbled by your response!
Tremendous Van protect !!! I will use some of your ideas in my Van project... thanks!
Right on! Have fun!!
Excellent work great video
Brilliant use of spaces.
Thank you very much! There is a lot going on but I feel we maxed out the available space pretty well. Cheers!!
Beautifully finished!
Thank you so much 😀
Excellent workmanship! I’m looking forward to seeing more videos 👍🏻
More to come! Hoping to get more regular on the uploads and more dialed in on the content. Let us know what you'd like to see.
Incredible man. Great job!
Thank you! Hope to have the next build uploaded here soon.
Because of the beautiful design i chose to subscribe. You did amazing on that build. I loved it.
Thanks so much! Hope to have some more inspiring builds to show you coming up!!
Loved your work. Wish you weren’t so far away! I’m hoping to build out a van but I’m in TN.
I lived in Nashville and traveled the mid state for work for a few years. Wish I were there to meet up with you! Let me know if I can help in any way.
You have done a great job man. Great built
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely love your work. It looks like it came straight out the factory this way. Would love to one day have you build my E250
Thats a solid compliment and thank you so much! We are here for ya, hit us up when you get the van!!
Wow! I'm started to look for an Econoline to convert. This is incredible! Thanks and you may be hearing from me down the line.
Sounds great! Glad you are inspired and let me know if I can ever be of assistance.
Great Job! Enjoyed it! Hope to see your next build soon.✌🤟👍
Thanks so much and glad you liked it! Hope to have more out soon!!
This is probably the best e150 build I’ve ever seen!
Making my day! Thanks for the kudos!!
Great build....you did a great job
Thank you! Cheers!
As somebody who's going to converting an E250 cargo van I've been looking at a lot of e-series conversions. This is by far one of the nicest layouts, but functionally and visually. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for the feedback! Truly appreciate it and good luck on the conversion! We are here to help if you need anything.
Did you ever convert your E250? Did you follow this van build?
awesome build. i loved all the ideas in this..
Glad you liked it!
What a beautiful build
Thank you!!
Beautiful build you did a real nice job. Looks like something you’d see in name brand RVs
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! Much appreciated!!
Well made sir , beautiful
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback and compliment.
Truly a craftsman you are it’s beautiful
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful fit and finish!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work, great work work.
Thank you so much!
Love this van build!
Thank you so much!
I love it , very clean design.
Glad you like it!
Fab! Loev the placement of the kitchen too!
Thanks! It's quite functional to have it in that location and makes it much easier to access some of the kitchen from outside the van.
Amazing build 👍🏾
Thank you!!
GREAT basic build and functional while still be "minimal!!! Kudos!!
Thank you so much! Appreciate the feedback
thank you for sharing. this is super helpful
You're so welcome! Should have another econoline build video here in a few weeks.
U really like the build. Its kind of my dream to start one of these conversion businesses like you have done. Very good video!
Thanks and go for it! I started with a Transit that I converted while I used it for side work and travel. That started conversations which then led to my first builds for others.
Great eye for detail
Thank you!
Nice and neat .... It gives me better idea...thanks you for sharing
Most welcome 😊
Nicely done!
Thanks!
Man, good to see this!! I've been working on renovating my 80s Dodge B100 and it's been crazy to try and get it put back together. Lol hopefully soon.
You can do it! Love those older Dodge vans, classics and awesome that you'll keep it on the road!!
@@forayconcept3389 Never have I seen a Van like mine, super rare I think. Most Dodge campers are the 250. So ya to keep it alive is something, already had the motor rebuilt at $4000. Basically main idea was to insulate properly (using rockwool and reflectix) and remove old carpet (to replace with Thermal underlay and vinyl). Installing new led lights inside and 12v vent/fan. Be great when it's done. Maybe I can show it sometime!!! Cheers 🍻
Finally someone with some "Common Sense" and "Skills," it a great combination! I hard to understand how the RV Industry plans on staying in business, with the quality they are producing and at the ridiculous prices they are getting! Some people are spending astronomical amounts of money on Class B's these days, some over $300,000.00!
Thanks for the kudos Pat! The RV industry is definitely an interesting one and we are truly hoping to bring a fresh take on what is possible with these conversions.
I really like this build!
Thank you!! Appreciate the feedback.
A beautiful build. Between extravagant and utilitarian. I have an E-250, no high top and not extended. Being about 6 feet. I need a cargo van and a camper at the same time, so considering mounting my 28" bed frame laterally and folding it against the side when I need the cargo room.
Thank you Ed! Yeah, when needing a full length bed it definitely changes the layout around. Sounds like you have a good bead on it and shoot me some photos when you are done!
All the years I’ve been watching these van builds I’ve never come across yours. Just subscribed. Beautiful job. I’m amazed at these much older vans with so many miles being built out. I’m shopping now for a used van, and see tons of Eseries out there running into 300,000 miles!😲 So, May end up with one myself, don’t like V8 gas consumption but looking more for a GMC Savannah or Express. Suspension 250 or more for better weight handling. Thanks for showing your excellent work.
Thank you Tony! Appreciate the feedback. The E series is a robust rig that is solidly engineered without any fancy trickery. You can do a lot with em!
Hi, if you don't like the v8 , it may cost you more in power and how much you can put into your buildout! So, sometimes it is a tradeoff. I downsized from a 32 ft. Class A, to a Shuttle Bus, - which I didn't finish, to a 97 E-350 1 ton cargo van, with a V-10. It had 273,000 on it when I bought it. It should go to around 425,000 miles or more. But I have the power to pull my 4 Wheel Dr. Jeep! Which is also my storage right now. When I'm parked , I can use my van or Jeep. I get about 10 MPG. Like I said, it can be a tradeoff, but everyone has different needs! Good luck, and it doesn't have to be new to last a long time! RD on the road!
Amazing job! Inspiring 🤩
Thank you and hope you have success with your project!
Super cool.
Very talented!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the build!!!
Thank you so much!
Amazing work, attention to detail and craftsmanship (especially the wood). I'm not the biggest fan of the customer's choice of green, but this is a great design and I'd live in this van anytime! Congrats on the build 👍 (I'm sure another customer choice, but low profile solar panels on top would be nice).
Thanks for the kudos! At the time, the customer opted out of solar for both height clearance and cost but since we've added a 100W flexible solar panel to the roof.
American vans are beautifull. Neat interior build.
Agreed, they are fun vans to build out. Thanks for the kudos!
Very nice work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Simple but functional.. As I worked on too many that have 800lbs of wood in them. Before they even put anything in it.. Which will ruin the weight distribution and wear out they suspension..Sag the rear springs from being over weight..Why I changed my E-150 to E-250 springs.. I would also mention.. You can install two Group 34 batteries under the frame. On the Passenger side, under the sliding door. They are already to wire in the factory pigtail. So you can charge them while driving or running the engine. Once the starter battery reaches 12.6 volts...Ford sells the pigtail. The connectors are just above the coolant recovery bottle. It has a gray cap on it...Fuse box is ready for the relay and fuse.. As these vans were used as Ambulances. So Ford made them ready to convert.
Thanks for the comments! Agreed the 150 suspension is a little light for these builds.
very well done . looks factory.
Thank you!
Epic!! Wow!! Better than any factory for sure. What or did you seal or cover the natural wood with? Has a nice sheen to it. Top notch craftsmanship!
Cool interior ideas!!
Glad you like them!
Stunning!
Thank you! 😊
Gorgeous, thank you!
Thank you for the comment! Cheers!!
Nice set up!
Thank you! It's real cozy for sure and the client has been on countless trips. I've been fortunate to see the van on occasion for minor tweaks and mods to further dial it in for her camping style.
Very nice work 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
really a beautiful build! It just goes to show you that an Econoline is still a viable option and a hell of a lot cheaper than the new tall roof vans.
Thank you and agreed, it's a great platform for a build!
All of this looks like it's a pretty big expense but with that being said it looks WORTH IT big time! Great Great work
Thanks. The cost wasn't too crazy but then again I was just starting out. In the end all that matters is that the customer is loving it and using it all the time and all over the place!!
Beautiful work. Nice layout. I wouldn’t put that much money into an older van though.
Thanks. While I understand, investing into an econoline platform isn't the worst idea though IMO. Plus, it isn't as expensive as you might think for a basic conversion like this. Cheers!
Great work.
Appreciate the feedback!!
Great job she will love it
Thank Kirk! She's left town every chance she gets. There were a few latches that needed upgrading and some tweaks to the design she wanted but otherwise it's been a great solution for her!
Roof vent and indoor shower and about 3 canbat lithium batteries and some solar panels then your all set as well as roof top solar and storage areas . Otherwise best build I have seen for a econoline without a high top
Thanks for the feedback! Crazy what is possible and also what has become available on the market since I did this build.
Hey neighbor. Nice build!
Hey, thanks! You guys in Oregon too?
@@forayconcept3389 Yup. I'll stop by sometime.
New sub here, currently converting my E250 for weekend adventures. Your video must be the most inspirational one out there! A low-roof, swb E150; yet its the most wonderful place there IS... not sure whether to call you an engineer or an artist! Thank you.
Thank you for the kudos!! The econoline is definitely a great base for conversion vans.
I really like the way you built the cabinetry with no handles needed, good for things to be smooth when in a tight space where you bump into everything. Though in the future.. OPEN THE DAMN FRIDGE! LOL geez we who are still deciding which fridge to purchase, would love to see what the inside can hold and mention the model or size Truck Fridge.. beautiful build.
Sorry for not showing the inside!!! Its a TF65 which is their DC only version. Here's a link to it: www.truckfridge.com/product/semi-truck-and-commercial-truck-refrigerator/
It will run for a few days off a charged battery without any inputs but you are correct, would be much better with a solar panel added. We are adding a 100W flexible panel to the roof and that should keep it going non-stop with no issues.
Foray Concept ok I will look it up, and thanks for the reply! 👏 did you mention the interior length of this van build? Thx ☺️
Very nice works
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video and build, thank you for sharing. Do you know about how thick the walls stick out from the actual van metal? I’m trying to figure out how wide of a bed I could fit sideways into one of these vans with the walls built up like so
In this case the walls were tight to the metal at the window frames and approx. 1 1/2" from the metal at the bed platform.
Great video
Thanks!
Great jib. What product did you use on the cut edge of the floor at both doors.
