There was very little to choose between the sides as the hosts looked to stifle our play at every opportunity, in a stop-start encounter.
Despite seeing more of the ball - and putting 10 corners into dangerous areas - we couldn’t break down the home side, and were hit with a sucker punch very late on.
Galeno curled home a wonderful strike from outside the area, giving David Raya no chance, meaning we need to turn the tie round at Emirates Stadium next month as we look to reach the last eight of the Champions League for the first time in 14 years.

Arsenal players are very agressive, easy to get some fouls out of it... if you watch the portuguese league we do enjoy to break the game and the rythm... sometimes there are penalties where there isn't a single touch made or where the touch is heavily dramatized...
@@joaochanoca3317 yh completely get you there, I have porto fans in my household so I sometimes watch the Portuguese league, and compared to the PL it's a lot less physical, so the transition from a physical game to this, for the Arsenal squad was not well recieved leading to, well you know... Also just look at how many foul corners we had, our usual set piece tactic that works well for the PL was utter shite in this situation 🤣

What i saw as the main problem arsenal had, only from watching this video.. was, they were not fast enough, in thinking, in their minds. It was really like seeing a team (porto) who knew how to turn it up a notch, becouse its a Big Game and it matters. Arsenal have to have in mind that is ALL OR NOTHING. To be fair this is the one game we can lose this season after the group stage without serious consequences. Was definitely a learning experience for most of our players who have never played a KO round in the UCL before and the insane atmosphere that comes with it. For example Martinelli trying to launch a counter attack Hollywood style in the last seconds of the game, pass gets intercepted and bang its a goal. Our players don’t know yet that a draw away in the 1st leg is a great result with no away goals rule anymore. All to play for at the Emirates COYG.
