This worked for me although I had to run the flash twice for the battery health to correct itself. Thanks for the video
Thank you for your guide!
Hello broo Iam here to thankyou about the 8 years old video i know its quite late but in that video you showed that how to fix the screen touch and by the instructions you fixed my phone ..! Lots of love broo❤❤
for iPhone xr ios 17.4, do you to do it like in the video or just swap the old flexible battery for a new battery then use a tool like qianly or jcv1se?
thanks man it's working 👍👍👍
Thank you sir 🙏🙏
Great video thank you. I replaced new cell with original BMS cable.(tag on , W09 pro) then i did flush wit use 3utools. battery health shown 100% but still remain "service" message. (Before shown 68%) Do you know how to fix? 12 pro , ios ver 17.3 ,17.4.1 and 17.5 was same situation.
But service battery is still show service sms this method any solution
So you HAVE to flash the device when replacing the battery now? Seems ridiculous, i mean if a customer brings their phone for a battery, you have to back it up and Flash it AFTER you replace the battery. EDIT: Not upset with IG, SCREW APPLE
Blame Apple 🙄
@@kingemanuel16 definitely not blaming IG. Just ridiculous in general and I do blame apple
@@4TMGames yes and with every update and devices released they make it harder for technicians
It’s Apple not us lol. It is what it is
Thanks Crapple. At least we got a loophole. Hats off to Brad MC and Injured Gadgets!
I just wanna update that. I didn't do any of this so I just rebooted the phone five or six times and now it's working properly again.
What you mean?
@@bradleymcguire7046 what do you mean What do I mean? Can you not read plain English?
@@Wassup-Doc thanks for acknowledging my question. No further response is necessary. Feel better.
@@bradleymcguire7046 yes as I thought you're just an idiot I think the best part of you probably ran down your mother's leg
How do you fix for Xr - xs max?
hi I have the latest xcap battery with out welding the phone after the latest update 17.4.1 is now reading the original capicity and not 100 percent i have flashed it on 3 u tool battery fix it still reads the original capicity. i have also tried taking out the battery and tried another battery to get important battery message then inserted the new xcap battery that you dont need weld and it still reads the original capicity please can anybody help. are these batteries capatiable with the new ios 17.4.1
This is starting to seem like a lot of work lol. It’s not working for me. Idk if there’s a difference between 3utools windows and Mac versions, but it’s not even giving me the option to flash the battery on the Mac version.
tried this on an 11 pro max today 03/09/2024.. unfortunately still showing same old battery health percentage from previous battery health. used both xcap battery cell and xcap no program tag on flex. not sure if its because we restored from back up but running ios 17.4
You used Quick Flash + Battery Fix ticked? What do you mean restore from backup?
@@bradleymcguire7046 in the video they portrayed an iPhone that does not have an active iCloud account signed in. Because quick flash erases all user data we did a back up both on 3u tools and iTunes for data. We attempted the normal tag on method of installing an aftermarket battery prompting not genuine battery pop up. Then installing new battery cell with original BMS with tag on flex powering on using only charging cord and non-genuine pop-up disappeared however, the same old battery health continued. We tried this method both before flashing using 3u tools and after flashing with same result. Important note: we did have to restore from back up to retain user data otherwise it would be a Brand new iphone essentially. We also recovered user data using both iCloud and local back up. Luckily, customer was understanding, but still very inconvenient and limited ability for the consumer. I have another 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max that I need to replace battery Cell while keeping OEM BMS so I will document that and see what happens
I have same problem, try to update the 3u tools and repeat flashing
i just changed my XS max display and it's draining battery like crazy . Can programming the screen from the old one fix that ?
That’s because your most likely using an LCD screen. The original is an OLED but as LCD screens have a backlight, it requires more power. Cheaper screens also use more battery consumption
Informative guide but this did not work for me. Steps I took using iPhone 12 (original battery health = 'Service'), iOS 17.2.1 and XCap BMS Battery Cell with XCap tag on flex: 1. Perform BMS Swap. 2. Boot iPhone with power cable 3. Shut down iPhone. 4. Boot iPhone with side button, Battery health shows 100%. 5. Remove tag on flex and Boot iPhone. Battery health still shows 100% so all good up to this point. 6. Update iPhone to iOS 17.4.1 using 3uTools Quick Flash mode with Fix Battery health option checked. Battery health and 3UTools now report 81%. Retried the Quick Flash mode with Fix Battery health option checked and both still report 81%. Any ideas why this did not work? Does it make a difference if the original battery health was saying 'Service'. Should I have upgraded to iOS 17.4.1 BEFORE performing the BMS swap?
If you performed the health data Calibration before 17.4 then you could have updated as normal. The fix flash wasn't necessary with 3U.
What happens after restoring data from backup?
You will end up with exactly the same problem again, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any workaround. Apple change the code and now the things are happening. One thing I have found that works is actually keeping the phone plugged into the charger and powering up since you don't get the battery warning then at least I'm not.
@@Wassup-DocIs this true? So once the customer puts their data back on, it'll put battery health back?
Been trying this with a 12 Pro, tried 5 times and even tried another battery it just will not get rid of the non-genuine error Is there a glitch with certain batteries? Tried 2 different xcap connects just incase. Never had an issue with thus process until today
There's a communication issue between the OEM BMS due to connection or damage. That's why the message is triggered, it's not being detected.
Quick question, if I replaced a client's battery on am earlier version of iOS (a few months ago), with an XCAP BMS, when they update to 17.4 is that going to break the functionality, taking their battery health back to the previous percentage? So should contact previous battery swap clients so that I can flash this update, or does this only happen when changing a battery on 17.4 and up? Thanks y'all! 🙂
Nothing will happen if they update, phones will behave just normal.
