I built this car back in 2010, and I had to sell it to pay a plumbing bill. I did some work for the third owner and traded for this car. It was in much worse shape than you see it here, but I've spent the last couple years, off and on, cleaning it up and making it look good again.
Here it is, for the first time in many years, MLBK 1001. I'll have a video of the restoration process as soon as I'm done painting it and applying decals.
Thanks for watching!
Very nice.
Nice you got that one back! Even in pieces. You got it running again. Nice to see this car. Have a good weekend!
That's funny, it looks like a box car right now... 😄
neat piece of history from the millbrook railroad’s past! cannot wait to see it run ! like the old saying, what goes around , comes around! plus you can see the evolution of your skills!
Babe, wake up, Mill Brook Railroad just uploaded! Good video!
it is not a boxcar until it is filled with.... boxes!
getting a decent size train going. let's see. a Tank Car. 2 Gon's, 3 Flatcars, 2 Ballast Hoppers, 1 Hopper, a Caboose, 3 Engines
It's maybe worse than you thought. 2 tank cars 4 gondolas 3 flat cars 1 hopper 1 broken ballast hopper 1 Russell plow 4 engines ...and some of the parts for 5 more flat cars. I may have a problem here. I think I need a car barn!
I realize I don’t have enough land to have an interesting 7.25 rail road. So I guess I will have to enjoy yours.
It could be said that the MLBK is not a very interesting railroad. It's only 970 feet long, and there aren't a lot of side tracks.
