    • Lewisham resident here. I have first-hand experience of the boroughwide 20mph zone that RCE helped design. To be fair, RCE didn't come up with the idea of a boroughwide 20mph zone. It was a council decision - all Matt did was design the signs which say 20 on them, and decide where to place them. The 20 zone has locked my available routes to the remaining 30 roads going through the borough (these would be the red routes owned by TfL). I was ratrunning a lot less, but it also left me with fewer diversionary options should I be experience delays on the trunk road. That was until Covid19. The pandemic has done more to alleviate congestion on the UK's roads than any traffic scheme (Traffic is still not back at pre-pandemic levels). Oh you wanted to know how Matt's signs are getting along? They're doing okay, apart from the faded paint on the 20 road markings of Perry Hill, Exbury Road, Belmont Hill & Verdant Lane.

Can't be Almondsbury or Thorney, because you can't easily see the 4-stack bridges on those interchanges. And for all other interchanges, there aren't enough stacks to inspire Matt to take up civil engineering. Of the remaining two options, I'm leaning toward Merstham because of the Merstham railway bridge preceding it (similar to 09:42).
