  • When Lemieux was asked what the biggest regret of his career was, he immediately replied "my hit on Chris Draper". He said in an interview with Darren McCarty that he did not mean to hurt Draper, that he was following through on his checks and made a split secong error as Draper turned towards the boards so he didn't do it on purpose. I am a wings fan but give them the benefit of the doubt. He donates all his signing fees to charities, while I Detroit he signed pictures of him covering up from Mccarty with "the turtle". That whole incident was an accident.

  • The aspect of ALL sports games is to get IN the opponents head, NOT remove it (or face)& the only reason why he said that he regretted the illegal hit,was for 1) ALL the negativity it brought to both his family and himself, his loss of fan's,his legacy, the lost of respect of several team players, and coaches, that no one speaks of, and the fact that Darren Mc Carty was sitting RIGHT THERE,if he truly was apologetic,as he claims, why after over 20 years has he still never personally and privately apologized to the man?
