About me:
I grew up duck hunting but after joining the military and living in several different states and Japan, I came back to pheasant hunting instead of duck hunting.
I have three American Brittany bird dogs, Tori, Charlie, and Lily who are the loves of my life! Tori and Lily are out of Hideaway Kennels and Charlie is out of Windtuck Kennels. Both kennels have produced champion bird dogs. Both kennels are out of Colorado.
I am a member of Rocky Mountain Roosters where I enjoy pheasant hunting, chukar hunting, and quail hunting. rmroosters.com/
I travel to Oregon yearly to go duck hunting on Sauvie Island with my brother who has a two-time National Master Hunter Black Labrador Retriever to retrieve the ducks. I also like to go elk hunting in the Colorado Rocky Mountains with my brother. We have fun whether we tag an elk or not. We call it camping with rifles if we don’t happen to punch our elk tag.

Great hunts and great video footages! I don't normally subscribe but i started to for those deserving. Sub. What gun, choke, and ammo do normally use on pheasant hunts like these?
Thanks! Beretta Silver Pigeon 20 ga 28 in. #7 steel. I hunt out of Rocky Mountain Roosters in Calhan, Colorado mostly to keep my dogs tuned. They can hunt there for 6 months out of the year. Modified on the bottom IC on the top. If I had to do it over again, I'd get a 26" barrel.
@@SimpleHunts Thanks for the reply. I also hunt with a silver pigeon but mainly that's my quail gun, besides its a 30" barrel. I'm also leaning now towards shorter barrels to see if swings are faster and better but im used to longer barrels since I was was a kid. Wow #7s seems very light for pheasants for me but you're dropping them good. I normally use #4 lead with modify or full but crazy CA state has ban all lead ammo now so I'm using either steel or bismuth.
