We built a huge 190 m / 623 ft Lego train set in the garden and around the pool! Take a driver's view ride over the pool on two separate bridges, around a Lego fairground and all over the garden!

  • This is absolutely spectacular! Building a 190-meter Lego train track through a garden and around a pool adds such a magical and adventurous element to the traditional model train setup. The idea of incorporating bridges over the pool and weaving the track through various Lego sets is brilliantly creative. I love how you've included both the City and Disney sets along with iconic attractions like the Roller Coaster and Ferris Wheel. This truly brings the fairground to life in an enchanting way. Do you face any challenges with outdoor setups, especially concerning weather and stability? Also, how long did it take to assemble everything?     • Thank you, really glad to see you enjoyed it. A lot of work goes into these setups and reading comments like yours makes it all worthwhile. The biggest challenge we had with this setup was time and weather, these are temporary setups and had to wait for a rainless few days in the forecast (which is rare for the Pacific Northwest). It took my daughter and I a few days to setup and a few days to take down. In terms of stability the bridge was rock solid, we did a fun Instagram reel to show how stable it is instagram.com/reel/CxGI3dwLLaF/ 😃

  • I never had a Lego railway and monorail train set. So cool that you can put your Lego train set outside and all over the garden as long as it doesn't rain and doesn't get flooded.

    • Lego trains are amazing, especially if you get more tracks. Our outdoor setup was only temporary as we didn't want it to get damaged overtime. We normally setup the trains inside our house, you can see lots of videos in our channel of our indoor setups.

    • yeah, we wanted to have one super long track to make the train ride last longer. Next time we build a new layout we'll see if we can a different setup as per your suggestion.

  • Knowing how these trains are, I'm impressed by the amount of effort it would have been just to get the dang trains to not derail on every corner lol

    • Yeah, we've fine tuned our trains and bogies to minimize derailments, however, there were a few places were the ground was uneven that needed quite a bit of adjustments.

    • Thanks for the feedback, we've often wonderd what most would people prefer to hear. We personally like the combo of music with the soothing sound of the train tracks, but I can definitely see how just the sound of wheels clicking and clacking on the tracks would be appealing!

  • I particularly liked the two stations located near the rubbish bins. Kind of a nod to the lower income part of town . . Nice setup. Would have been a laugh building the bridges over the pool. Well done.
