Same! I was just commenting on another video how I never gave them a chance back in the day. There were so damn many new bands popping up during that nu metal era, alot of them were just crap! But because of that I just kind of ignored static X .. Now I'm definitely a fan! Wayne was a cool guy, very creative, and how funny is it I thought they were just one of those trendy ass korn ripoff bands but in reality they were VERY original, and pretty heavy, and cool as hell! Lesson learned I guess, don't be quick to dismiss or misjudge someone!

Just saw Static X last night. While they played this song they had videos and pictures of wayne. It was a beautiful tribute. I cried and so did alot of other people. It's hard to belive its almost been 10 years since he passed. Xero knocked it out of the park, Wayne's looking down on them and Is so proud.

I’m a newer static x fan and found the music through Queen of the damned and I’m very happy I found this band.
You're going to be sad, their lead singer Wayne Static overdosed some 10 years ago now and died so, they will not be making new music with Wayne. The lead singer of Dope stepped up recently to fill in for Wayne but it has been so long, they will have to try to rebuild the band's name and reputation.

For those who might not know the story in this video is based on a book called 'I Am Legend' by Richard Matheson. It's a story about a man who survives a plague where most of those who don't die end up becoming vampire-like creatures. The main character in the story is a doctor/researcher who spends his days scrounging for supplies, trying to find a cure, reading...and hunting these 'vampires'. It's a pretty good story that led to several TV and movie adaptations, the most famous of which starred Vincent Price, Charlton Heston, and Will Smith.
Queen of the Damned in itself, broke super major ground, it's hard to put it into words it's so good! Then, f'me, on the DVD version, this video starts jamming!!! OMG pass the f'ing whiskey! A good moment in my life.
