  • I almost got thrown out of Disney a couple of years ago, a cast member told me they had just opened a backstage path between Main Street and Tomorrow land because Main Street was full because of a Parade. So I started walking and no one else was heading that way yet and got stopped by a guard. Turns out that the staff on Main Street and the Staff in Tomorrow Land had failed to notify the guards that they where opening the path to guest. One quick radio call and I was on my way.

    • I had to take that path on my night at Magic Kingdom, when fireworks were about to start. There were plenty of people being sent that way with cast members directing us the whole way. I didn't know where in the world I was.

    • I also notice something like that long ago. When I was sitting at Main Street USA by Adventureland, the cast members opened the backstage path for some guests to get by a crowded Parade audience. But I never actually went through that passageway.

    • I got kicked out for the mask issue. I was "drinking water while walking". They were terrible to me and my son. And during covid they didn't care about magic at all, they had ride ques going through the back and near dumpsters. Worst experience at any park ever. Disney lost a customer that day. I know no big deal but for me, it was awful.

  • I had a friend that got kicked out of the park. He went back a couple of years later and after he went through the ticket booth he only got a couple of feet into the park. A couple of Disney security came up calling him by name and told him he had to leave. Disney has a very impressive facial recognition system. If you are in the system forget about getting into any Disney property anywhere in the world.

  • having been backstage (marched in a parade with my high schools marching band) there's not a whole lot to see back there. although we did get some cheers from cinderella, belle, and a headless goofy all riding by on a golf cart, so that was rather memorable. definitely not worth getting kicked out of the park to see though

  • I saw two Park ejections this week. We were heading into mk and saw a large group of security around a couple leaving the park (I would guess not willingly and I have no idea why) and then during fireworks a guest physically hurt a cast member who stopped them from crossing a closed bridge and security was getting them backstage and gone

    @shawn445@shawn4454 ай бұрын
    • It’s good to hear they do actually eject wrongdoers. I have known parties of people to rush a line, forcibly cutting in front of everyone, and still not getting kicked out. I love it when parks actually enforce the rules. It makes it better for the rest of us.

    • I remember being at Epcot before rope drop on their 40th anniversary and a couple was ignoring a cast member who told them they weren't allowed to cut from the skyliner entrance to the front of the park because they went in through the wrong entrance. The rest of us waiting for them to let us rope drop into the front of the park were like "Wow they're going to get kicked out of the park before it even opens." When the Cast Members Manager came in to support him we just heaped praise on him for doing a good job.

An older couple got mad at him because they had some early park experience they signed up for at D23 but were supposed to go through the front gate for it and they just ignored him and went walking through so he radioed someone and his female manager came over and stayed with the crowd until we were allowed to move up.

Factor in the guests being too drunk, or being caught smoking Mary Jane then I’m sure it’s at least a dozen or so ejections/bans a day. One guest who was seated in an area that needed to be opened up for the parade to go through refused to move from their spot. No one ever raised their voice, but after a few attempts at trying to convince the guest to move a number of security cast members surrounded the guest, picked them up and escorted them outside the park. Everyone clapped and cheered. It was sad that they had to do this sort of thing. No doubt this person had "had enough" for the day and wasn't budging another inch.

    @StamfordBridge@StamfordBridge4 ай бұрын
    • That's probably not surprising enough to make this list. Line jumping is pretty much instant expulsion, that said some cast might just be like "you got caught don't do it again" and not immediately call Disney Security on you. The real reason I've seen people kicked out for line jumping is if it's their second/third offense or if once caught instead of bowing out and following the rules they choose to fight/scream at the cast member who caught them.

  • Accidental intrusions into the backstage areas will not get you kicked out. I encountered a guest in the staff corridor outide the main kitchen at the grand floridian, and she turned out to have accidentally went through the wrong door and then wandered around until she met a human being (me). In addition, the Behind the Seeds tour is one of the "behind the magic" tours that encourages picture taking. I personally instigated an ejection and ban after a guest threw a sandwich at me. I was working the cold service line at Gasperilla's (in the Grand Floridian), and this particular guest, who entered my line with a hostile attitude, decided I was cheating him out of the proper amount of jalapenos on his sandwich. So he threw it in my face. A quick five minute later, he and his family were being walked to their cars by security.

    @LinusCello75@LinusCello754 ай бұрын
    • The main reason this happened, was that the 3rd party "Tour Group" service was hiring disabled individuals -- veterans and other folks that needed ECVs (aka powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters) -- to use Disney's then-policy of allowing disabled people to skip to the head of the ques and bring their family with them. Ultimately, Disney caught on to this, and implemented the ban of these "Tour Group" services. This also did impact legitimate disabled folks who were visiting the parks with their families, because a number of them were being refused to skip the lines if the Cast Members suspected them of being fakers or trying to work the system. As a disabled Veteran, I make it a point to always bring my VA Card so when I either rent an ECV or bring my own powered wheelchair (when I can), I can show the Cast Members that I am legitimately disabled and not trying to scam the parks.

  • About the first rule in the video: I worked at Knott’s Berry Farm in the late 90’s. There was a father and son who owned a ranch somewhere down there and they would come to the park every few weeks, dressed in full cowboy regalia, knowing full well that guests would assume they worked there and approach them for photos or to ask questions. These two a-holes thought it was hysterical to be rude as hell to the guests, so that they would think the Knott’s employees were jerks. I asked my bosses about it and they said they couldn’t ban them or anything because it wasn’t the park’s fault that people thought the guys worked there, they technically weren’t doing anything wrong.

  • I was curious at how Disney treats its employees and there's lot of information online suggesting that they pay a lot of people where they can barely keep up with the cost of living. They have to join unions in order to try to get fair compensation. This is horrendous considering how much they are raising rates and how much they pay Managers. Employees should benefit also. I bet most can't even report on this for fear they would get banned by Disney.

Not that I'm complaining at all, just wondering about (like for example Splash Mountain footage) said main attraction or popular ride footage

    • They have certain permissions in regards to cameras, most safety announcements on the dark rides will say no flash photography, usually that means if you’re recording, there’s no video lighting allowed on the ride. I think other ways they’ve been able to record is if they had some sort of camera strapped on their body such as on their chest or on their hand.

The part about being unsure about celebrities taking and posting questionable pictures might be odd if I knew more about it but everything that’s restricted seems like just common sense to me although I’m not quite sure about what the alcohol restrictions are. It’s definitely common sense that a person under drinking age isn’t allowed to be in possession of alcohol or drinking.

Disney can be a very crowded place and visitors are not always going to find a place to sit down and/or might not have the funds or want to spend the extra funds on a park wheelchair.

  • My best friend is a LEO down in Florida and occasionally would occasionally work at one of the parks or get called in when security called for the sheriff's department. Craziest way I heard to get banned involved some guy getting upset that security found some tiny like pen knife thing in his backpack on going in. Well the idiot decided to come out of I think it was the Be Our Guest Restaurant waving 2 steak knives and saying something about look at what they give us inside. Needless to say he was quickly escorted off and subsequently banned for life. Him and his whole family were staying at one of the Disney hotels on property so he was banned from those too. He wasn't happy to hear that his wife and children could continue their stay in their hotel rooms but he had to find alternate accommodations off property. That was at least few years ago but that was one of the craziest ways of getting banned outside of the people doing stuff like trying to get over to the defunct zoo on Discovery Island.
