  • This song was so fitting in the reputation era. She really lost a bunch of fake friends. People doubted her more than ever, she was even name-called. There were articles saying how her “reputation tour is shaping up to be a disaster” but she came through with it being the highest grossing North American tour in history. She really ‘made it to the top’ and I believe she’ll only keep on achieving more. I’m so proud of myself for stanning her lol.

    • Caristalalala Tan I don't want to be horrible, but nearly all young female 'singers' nowadays do that long one-note shouty thing with their voice. It's nothing new. They do it so that it seems like they can actually sing when really, that is not actually singing. That is the unfortunate thing about this current generation of music sadly.

      @YTAishok@YTAishok6 жыл бұрын
    • Pinky Taylor makes such great music and other young artists too.she has the voice for her own music and the vocals that she can sing for those music,she play instruments,she put her life lyrics to the song,Moreover she always slay her performances,how come can you say that to that talented artist like her😕

    • Sometimes Taylor's vocals can be so smooth and sweet like Lana. I love it when she back up vocals on some of songs like Best Days of Your Life, Two Is Better Than One and Babe. It's something about her voice that gives harmony and smoothness. I think that's one of Taylor's underappreciated things of hers. Like in this part 4:44 See what I mean?

The lyrics are so strong, their voices fit so well together, the performance from both of them is just perfectly spot on and finally the solo parts are fantastic, especially from 3:00 and on. Kim's tape proved Taylor right. Plus Kanye was saying I respect you and wouldn't do anything to hurt you you can trust me. Taking credit for her yrs of hard work is what hurt her the most. The media saying Taylor never heard anything about the song till its release was the lie. She never denied the conversation with Kanye just the lyrics that she didn't approve of. Taylor's haters only see what they want not the truth. They say she denied any knowledge but you can't deny her reps statement about the song form the very start. So sad that people are quick to judge before getting the facts.

  • Looking back from 2024 to 2015 when Taylor is singing this, not knowing yet all the trials she STILL had ahead of her to go through, gives the song more poignancy - the Kanye West and Kim Kardashian debacle where they tried to ruin her career and reputation, Scott Borchetta selling her masters to her nemesis Scooter Braun, the DJ David Mueller who sexually assaulted her then took her to court and sued her for a million dollars after he got fired....she made lemonade out of all those lemons. She rose like a phoenix to higher heights, winning Grammies for her third AND fourth Album of the Year, making the cover of Time Magazine's Person of the Year and going on tour with the Eras Tour, the highest grossing tour of all time. By rerecording all her albums she was able to remake them her way include vault tracks and gain even more success with her rereleases the second time around. Her directorial debut with her film All Too Well won a Grammy for best music video and HCA's Best Short Film award. She truly got the last laugh. That's why the lyrics to Doubt have even greater meaning now: You think you beat me down, But I'll have the last laugh, I'll keep getting up, 'Cause that's what I'm gonna do, yeah, I'm gonna be the best me, I'm sorry if it kills you, I made it to the end, I nearly paid the cost, I lost a lot of friends, I sacrificed a lot, I'd do it all again, 'Cause I made it to the top, I can't keep doubting myself anymore... Meanwhile her enemies are rolling in the muck and mire they created : Kim's unethical and slimy behaviour (kimkardashianruinedmylife.com/) Kanye's stunts which made him a pariah, (www.the-sun.com/entertainment/10539930/kanye-west-vultures-1-europe-venues-concerts-controversy/) Scooter Braun's divorce soon after Taylor's song Mad Woman exposed his infidelity, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande all dropping him as a manager and the investigation for fraud for Braun's shady money deals :(www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/scooter-braun-hit-with-fraud-suit-private-equity-firm-1234962451/). It honestly broke my heart. Cause no matter what happens and whom you love, you gotto respect people who are trying their best. Zayn wouldn't have had so many views or would have made the song top without this girl out her. She is in top in her career cause she has did something really appreciable. You can dislike people all you want but no need to be over the top to pull someone down. But this video, it made me feel good. And even the comments here. God, I love her. Hearing this now in 2018, I'm crying, thinking about everything I've overcome, in college, started my own business, in a healthy relationship with someone, friends and family, no sign of depression in Jesus' mighty name, basically, living my best life. So I'm going to say this: the darkest, darkest times come right before the dawn (this doesn't mean there won't be dark times again) but now I've learnt to overcome doubt, and self hate, and low self esteem, and everything in between. I wake up everyday feeling blessed and favored no matter what I'm going through, and I'm adding Doubt by Mary J Blige and Taylor Swift(QUEEN) to my success story !

  • So powerful when Mary J says 'and that's the end' at the end of the video because, if you think about yourself at the end of your own story, if you keep powering through confident in your own success, every word of this song will be true for you too.

  • I’m really disappointed that I’ve never heard this amazing song on my r&b radio station. Taylor did a great job, and of course Mary is a queen 👑. She is my favorite female singer, and one of the best ever.

    • This Swiftie hadn't heard Mary J., the Godmother of HipHop, until I saw this vid. Then after reading about her very difficult early life and her perserverence in breaking through the barriers to women performers in HipHop, I found myself another hero. And even though Tay has been sharing her life with her fans since she was 13, this was the first time I'd see her share her ongoing daily insecurities and doubts with a stadium full of 70,000 people. Sharing the fact that even the most loved person on Earth can have constant doubts that have to be struggled with. Brought me to tears. And seeing those 70,000 Swifties showing their love for Mary was awesome! 💞
