Bob is now in anger management classes. Thanks for your concern.
That's probably for the best lol
I laughed too hard at this comment
No not any more they asked me to leave or the cops would be called again!
HAHAHA. I made almost the same choices as Kurt on the 'painter' take. Same timing and everything. It made me very happy hahaha
@@robertlaporte2998 lol
anybody else got up and acted like they were acting “get the hell out of my house” hahahahaha
Yeah I actually did
Yep lol
Yeppp
Lol…I’m not the only one
Thank god it wasn't just me
This has taught me more in fourteen minutes than my theatre teacher has in three years
# Neil Armstrong LOL
Damm !!! 😂😂😂😂👍
Agreed! I've been told I'm a natural just need tweaking with a coach and this fourteen minute video has made me want to go for it!
Why is this so common with so many types of schools
I did an acting module in the last year of school and received literally zero instruction, just given a script and thrown on stage. The teacher saw that I didn't know what I was doing, instead of giving a 5 minute lesson on the very basics was just given a role as a plant pot basically. Extremely demoralising.
My poor dog has now gotten the hell out of my house...and back in...four times.
😂😭
That was hilarious.
hahahahah! this is so sad and hilarious all at the same time
😂😂
The poor dog 😞
In 12th grade in school we had a theater project... We had two casts for each role because we had like 4 performances... The person who played the same character as me also thought that anger = yelling = good acting... While he did his job pretty good, I think that yelling just didn't fit the character there... I tried it in a calmer and colder way and people actually liked it...
how uncommonly interesting

Im not an actor AT ALL but ive aspired to be one since i was little. This helped me to realize that there are different ways to approach different emotions. Tysm
I really like how you give us real examples and don't only talk about how to do something. Thank you so much for giving all those advices. :)
THIS HELPED SO MUCH ive decided to audition for my local theater group and this really helped me out
Did you get it!?
did u get the role?
did you get in?
Did you get in??
How did it go?
I recently started taking acting classes mainly as a goal to improve confidence and public speaking. This taught me a lot on how to perform and think when a script is given
This is exactly why I searched "basic acting lessons" and then clicked on this video. My social anxiety has gotten worse over the last few years. In addition to that I teach for a living. I thought acting lessons could help with confidence.
I came here looking for some basics of acting, as a begginer I recorded myself with the monologue, and it turned out pretty weird to me 😅 my social skills are almost zero, it wasn't always the case, infact I was a social butterfly but something happened that changed me into someone who stopped going out with people, not making friends anymore, speak only when spoken to. It has taken a toll on my confidence so much that I used be a natural actor and now, I don't know who I am anymore 😭
The reason I've learn acting is either to lie or to hide "Sadness"
At the end when you talked about committing to a choice to show you can act, reminds me of one of my favourite casting stories. Chadwick Bosman auditioned for Drax for Guardians of the Galaxy. The casting directors said he played him with a calm powerful regality that didn't quite fit what they had in mind so he didn't get the role. But low and behold when they needed a Black Panther, guess who was the first person they called? Chadwick truly believed in his choice for Drax was right. It turned out to be the exact opposite of what they wanted but his commitment to his choice showed them something crucial. That he was an MF ACTOR, and he was confident, talented, and knew his shit. He wouldn't have been able to show off his range if he didn't do his homework and committed 100% to his choice. And hey, Directors took notice of his talent and kept him in mind for other projects. Rest in Peace legend.
I took this line in so many different directions at one point I was crying while my cats just stared at me 😂😂
Wow that's awesome.
Same
I have always thought that when someone is angry you have to yell so this helped a lot thanks Mr. Yue!!!!
I didn’t know how many different ways you can say 1 sentence thanks for the help man
😂😂😂 there are so many different ways, it's all about the way u say it and the look on your face 🙂👍
he absolutely ATE every scene too 😭
In other words, utilize improvisation to yours and everyone's benefits in each environment or scene. Thanks!
Excellent
@@ActingCareerCenter hey i can do acting. i know how to do it. but my face expression sucks. so what can i do 😔 ?
@@noone.51 hey! I know you weren’t asking me but I would honestly just recommend to do just whatever just comes to you naturally and don’t force something, and something else is that, do what you think the character would do. You know what I mean, put yourself in their shoes and show how they would react
@@zoekroutz435 thanks for your advice i really respect that . but you imma just a failure, not good at even a single thing. i can see where my future going :)
@@noone.51 Remember to move your eyebrows. I do horror modeling and acting so expression is very important and at first I wasn't happy with my photos because my face looked flat. Then I realized my eyebrows never changed, so I started paying more attention to what each muscle in my face was doing while I was acting and modeling. If your scared or surprised, you can't just widen your eyes and open your mouth. You need to shoot those eyebrows up there. If you're confused, you might raise one eyebrow as high as you can. It really helps.
I'm 27, feel like I'm very late to start learning acting but I would truly love to do it. Thank you for the lessons, maybe one day, I'll be in something people may see!
I dont think so.... Not everyone is A 20 25 year old character if you start acting now why couldn't you have a good career in your 30s 40s. and past that?
There is an amazing actor with no relatives that are famous and didn’t have any famous friends and he started acting in his late thirties so I believe people can start acting at any age without needing connection to alrdy famous people. He’s an inspiration to many people including me.
bro you cand oanything you fucking want. i belive in you. go after that dream dawg. cause if you do ill love you forever
@@mayracastillo1058 i love this :)
Hey old man, am 27 too and I think you not as late as you think you are!
Thanks man you've really helped me and I aspire to be more than just a actor. I want to preform art. I want my acting to change someones thought on situation that they've never seen before. To open the mind and make art. Not just acting. Art. I want to make art. Here in Mississippi there isn't much opportunity but I'm here to help my grandmother. So I been preparing myself and practicing and you've helped with that. I only wish I could thank you in person
Best of luck to you!

@@ActingCareerCenter Hello Mr? Me really needs help because acting is my dream and am very excited to join
Got an disney acting audition in 20 mins thx ☺️
Aii I'm curious how did it go?
How did it go?
How did it go?
Hello?
You get the job?
You are a great acting coach, I have been researching about acting and couldn’t find any help but a friend referred me to you and you are helpful
I'm facing the same situation
The way that you put so much emotion in "Get the hell out of my house!" gave me literal chills. It is so amazing and this is what inspired me to get into acting!
This was super helpful, thank you. It's sometimes very easy to spot when an actor's tone doesn't quite fit the dialogue or context, but it's so much harder to get it right when you're the one acting!
I swear, I've taken more away from this 14min video than years of acting classes. You're such an incredible teacher Kurt. LOVE all your videos!! 😍
Why is this my theatre assignment 😭😭
I’d always wanted to be an actor since I was a kid, but I hadn’t and haven’t done anything yet, but now I’ve been watching some of your videos and I’m starting to love it even more, thank you so much for the videos!
THANK YOU for being so clear on this! Everyone always says "make strong choices" but are never specific by what they mean. Thanks man!! Your awesome!
Your the reason I have started taking acting classes and started making the right decisions in my acting career! thank you so much! Your such an awesome teacher!!!
who else felt the part when he acted the "get the hell outta my house" oooosh shiver me timbers
You take the basics that are overwhelmingly taught as esoteric babble and explain them in clear cut practical terms. It's amazingly helpful and sobering, thank you 🙏
Thank you, Mr. Yue: I like😄 this already . . . that I gave it a thumbs up 👍 even before viewing the entire video. God bless, and be safe 😷.
Thank you for watching!
U R welcome 😊. Thanks 4 assisting us. U're doing a good job. I just recently learned of your 'Kurt Yue Studio'; Awesome 😄👍.
It literally been bingeing all of your videos. They're so helpful thank you!
I’m not an actor, but I got a role I’m trying to book and I’ve been looking for a channel like yours. Thanks for your advice!
This is AWESOME! I an acting newbie. I really like the way you lay everything out in a clear way. Thank you!
Can we all just appreciate the amazing quality of these videos
Tomorrow I have an audition for a show and I got real nervous about messing up. This video helped a lot!!❤️
You just earned another subscriber. I'm been thinking a lot lately about becoming an actor and these lessons are helping a lot. Thank you so much for doing this!
Thank you for the great guidance and taking time for the non-experienced and making this series.
Literally doing a marathon of all your videos!!!
This is such a good video. I always struggled with tone and repeating the same choices so thank you!!
I've just been watching all your videos this whole day and I have learnt sooo much. Thank you man
I am a sag Aftra actor that has credits etc, and I want to say I continue to learn from you so much every time and thank you for sharing this valuable information it is very helpful and very appreciated
Hey, Kurt. I am not sure if you're still checking your feedback, but your delivery is smart and succinct, your words are wise, and you are someone who immediately drew my respect in your humbly delivering gems of advice. I am a psychologist who is contemplating a detour into acting post retirement, and I really enjoyed this video. Thank you.
Hey, Kurt, I am 13 years old and have wanted to be an actor for some time now and you've been a group big help in my research and I was watching your video on Union vs non-union and I want to do the union option or the sag-Aftra but I'm not sure if I can sign up when I'm still a kid and I looked into the eligibility and I was going to do one of the choices like ACTRAor AEA but I'm not sure if I can sense I'm Still A minor is there any way you could help make a video or a series on all the steps but for minors or teens like it would be really helpful if you could do a video on the best way to get casting calls or to get booked for minors.
yesss im 15 and an aspiring actress and I'd love that vid
I’m 15 and also trying to pursue acting. I wish us all good luck👍
Hi so I don't know if this helps but I just turned twelve years old and I have been wanting to be an actor for some time now and I have my first audition on zoom. And this audition isn't for a tv show it's for producers or directors or even people from Netflix or Disney plus to see my acting skills to THEN give me a job. So I recommend to do one of those auditions to see where to go and then you can start acting in tv shows, movies, commercials, or anything u want to do😁
@@nikakalabi7944 thank youuu
Y’all I’m 14 almost 15 too
This was such a fantastic video. So helpful in getting me out of my audition funk.
Thank u Mr Yue. Am taking this in my book coz am determined I want to be an actress this is helping me so much
Those audition examples were spine-tingling good. Thank you.
Wonderful video! I recently started taking my acting hobby more seriously and began watching different videos to prepare me for my first acting course. Definitely best content creator for a beginner actor. Thank you!
Thanks, the things that I learn that every lines and emotions have a tons of reasons on its back. Not just giving what it is. Helps a lot😍
This was GOLD. Thank you for what you do.
Very interesting video. I don't know what I want to be but acting is always gonna stay open and this gave me a better insight on how magical this industry is and what makes acting so fun
This makes a lot of sense! I appreciate you taking the time to do this for us all!
I Just started watching your videos...and I can't get enough of your lessons. Thank you so much...I really would like to watch one on building a character from scratch...Like so little has been given in the script about the character, but u want to build your character from her past to her present. Thank you
Great video Gave many examples of what looked like an easy, and cut and dry line.
Really diggin this video.. and learning a lot .. I appreciate the time ya take to pass on your knowledge & techniques to be successful in this career... people think acting is “ easy”.. I’m here to tell ya.. in my opinion.. if you think it’s easy to “ act”.. you’re not doing it right ... I can only specie myself I know.. so I will... I painted for almost 40 years and have busted my hump in a 12-16 hour day... yeah... of course I came home tired.. but, I did a 6 hour shoot and by the time I was done & I got home I was sick to my stomach tired .. emotionally shot down.. and I slept like a baby that night. I know ( for me) that I put everything I have into my roles.. not that I have to dig down deep to bring out my character.. it’s not that.. all my roles so far has been “ the heavy”.. and often had the directors I’ve worked with say “ just be you” how would Roddy handle this or say this”.. which has made it somewhat easier for me. But still when I’m done I am emotionally tired ...
this really helped me. I did a virtual audition but they now want to meet me for a face to face so this might help. to get into the emotions and to become that character
This is great. I knew that there was more than one way to be angry, but some of them you brought to my attention I didn't even think about!
This was so so incredible. You are an incredible actor. I can’t wait to watch all your other videos. Thank you so much for posting these
I almost left my house...phenomenal acting
thank you so much. Ive been in acting class for 2 months and you have taught me more in this one video than I all those classes combined lol thank you
This actually helped a lot it’s the small things you don’t think makes a difference makes a huge difference
Very helpful and informative. Thank you!
Love your videos!! They have been so helpful and I want you to know how much I appreciate you and all of the information you share Kurt. One suggestion: include your name in the text of the video. ❤
Love your sound bites. They are easy, simple, and informative within a short period of time. When will you begin acting classes again? I am also interested in voice-over opportunities. Come back again soon.
After watching so many videos I think yours is the one that actually taught me a lesson.....👌👌👌
This was really helpful, my first impulse was 100% to yell and then when you explained the breakdown It really got me to introspect and to think how I rarely if ever yell. I love this ty!
I was zoning out a little but then when this scene played i got so scared 😂 5:15
🤣🤣
Very impactful words Mr Kurt and I'm gonna continue watching and listening to your words and everything is gonna be okay...much Love ❣️
oh my god your acting is so good left me literally speechless
I really needed this have been watching different videos but this is super dope for me.. Am a new beginner actress
Can you do one about what to expect on the first day of set?
Great idea!
I needed this. This helped open my mind and I feel alot more hopeful. Thank you.
Positively brilliant!! Thank you!
My question would be if you necessarily need to study acting for becoming an actress or if it’s already good to take acting lessons. Also thank you for everything you have taught me so far:)
Thank you so much for making this great video ! You are one of the rare KZheadrs I subscribe to... so you can feel special hehehe. Keep it up with the great work you are doing ;) PS: when you said the first "get the hell out of my house." I was like "Oh his really good..."
This really opened my eyes. Wow. Thank you so much❤️
This is so helpful! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!
Amazing video!!! Plz post these type of videos for aspiring actors as it is very hard to go to an acting class due to this pandemic!! Atleast we'll learn some acting skills from you instead of wasting our time and waiting for COVID-19 to get over!!

I could always come out with all these different ways of saying a sentence but found it hard to actually choose one and commit to it
Yeah that seems to be an issue for me, I can say it completely differently every single time 😂
Wow thank you so much sir😍😍😍.... please take your time but make a series on lessons btw love your work👍👍
I will do my best
I had only one acting experience in 3rd grade people said I was so good at it from there I have build passion about acting hence still working on opportunities and ways to reach my dream, thank you for the video...

Right now I'm preparing for a 10-page monologue which i have to say very fast but not compromising with putting the character into life!! Give me some tips plz
Don’t miss a line 😂
Very hard to help you with this without actually seeing you do it. I recommend working with an acting coach who can watch you perform it and give you feedback
I thought thats the director’s Choice to tell you how to approach the Lines and scene.. thanks sir I’m learning things from you everyday.
It's a collaboration with the actors. But typically, the director does have the final say.
Thank getting back into acting again. And its great to start as a beginner again .
I'm taking classes, right now. Thanks for the advice ✌
i just got your email......hey I`m JOY.....❤❤😭i literally just started crying so much thank you so much !!!!! You dont know how much this sentence "(I hope to meet you on set one day!" means to me....AAAAHHH thank you so much i love you

Hi Mr. Yue, thank you for all these tips and guides, you are by far the most helpful I've gotten to watch in guiding out aspiring actors/actresses like me. Just wondering though, I really wanted to start an acting career in Hollywood as the thought of it really excites me, but Im from the foreign country of Philippines and not financially abled to attend acting classes with fees that provides certifications, is there any alternative for this? I'll be more than willing to commit. Thank you in advance! And stay safe :)
Couldn’t thank you enough!! Great information!
I love your videos man, see you on set ❤️
I'm just a self taught person of acting when I started to pursue my dream and practice and reading I've came to my own realizations that actors have done is the exact same as what I've came up with. Example reading a script and you just see the characters qualities basically everything from the expression to what emotions are there in the scene. What is really cool I've never hear anyone being able to do this and that's knowing what gender is talking in the scene without any his,he,she, her and names. Now what I like for me is placing my self into the characters shoes I'm also very good at expressing real emotions wether it be sad angry crying etc that I can do all this on cue because I use my certain memory that ik will make me feel that real emotion. What do you think of this and my question for you is all I've said do I have what actors have and do. I'd love to hear a professionals thoughts.
Great information, thanks a lot, love from India ❤️
Glad it was helpful!
Thank u , actually I was focused on the script and did make a choice from the start so I gain some confidence n learnt a lot!
I just joined a production team of recent, these point really helped me, thank you so much sir, lots of love, i look forward to more uploads from you on how to become a great actor
