Watching this makes me realize why all of bowsers castles are built so strangely. It’s not a flawed security system, bowser just lives like that and doesn’t realize it’s dangerous. It’s like when you put the peanut butter on the top shelf and don’t realize it’s a problem until your short girlfriend can’t reach it
Honestly, it is pretty funny that given his fashion aesthetic, his preference for overtly dangerous castles, the Koopalings’ names and the Reznors, the fact that outside of Peach kidnapping and kingdom conquering he is otherwise decent, and plenty of times where he wishes to look cool that Bowser is an edgy Koopa who revels in the classic metal aesthetic.

This is essentially a prequel mode, where you play as Bowser pillaging all the kingdoms while Mario and Cappy chase him
That would be so cool for a custom mod, alter the maps a bit, change the bosses somehow, and make it so you do what you said.
This explains how he got his title of being king of the Koopas. He can actually just destroy everyone and everything in his way.
It's because he's so good at Koopa Freerunning. It's an honorary title.
Bowser is and always has been an absolute unit. It's easy to forget just how stupidly powerful he is because he keeps getting dunked on my a short, chubby plumber, but that's just a testament to how amazing Mario is.

I'm starting to notice, i think the fireball acts like the hat, just slightly reworked. Between the redirecting, and being able to collect everything, it just makes sense.

It does make sense
But it also has additional properties like counting as “fire” to light torches and as some sort of destructive/explosive projectile when it comes to bosses and destructibles.
But for some reason the fireball also collects moons, which the hat can't do, so it seems more like an extension of the character itself than the hat, just with a killaura and fire properties.
This makes me realize that Nintendo needs to make a 3D platformer where you play exclusively as Bowser.

@@kirbo4252 Now that we think about it, it'll have been almost 20 years since the last Peach game, Super Princess Peach, released on the DS when Princess Peach: Showtime releases. However, Bowser has gotten no games where he's the protagonist... Most of the major Mario characters that aren't Mario have their own games & series of games where they're the protagonist -- with Luigi getting Luigi's Mansion, Toad getting Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Yoshi (of course), Wario getting WarioWare, and several other characters getting their own games. I can see that the odds of Bowser possibly getting a game of his own are very, very low, but not zero. I wonder if Nintendo's planning to make one some day...
@@curiouscreator8806The odds may be low, but with the Bowser segments in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Bowser being playable in Super Paper Mario, and the entirety of Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, the odds are *not* zero.
I’m so impressed with what modders can do in this game, some of these mods must be really hard to get working without crashing. Sanae deserves huge shoutouts for this one
Watching this made me realise that I'd love a game where you play as Bowser through the main game, and you enjoy a lot of immunities and can just brute force your way through things. But in the post game you unlock Mario mode and you need to replay levels when things like enemies and lava actually mean something.

This is just so satisfying! It truly gives off the vibes of Bowser's raw power, a feeling I haven't fully appreciated for a while (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story probably, or maybe Mario Galaxy, though maybe both are just me). Makes me wish there was more designed for Bowser specifically, whether its challenging or just super easy for the satisfaction.

This entire run felt like Meta Knightmare in Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, where Meta Knight only has the one sword move to use, so it just can do anything like activate pegs and fuses and stuff, so Fir just keeps learning more and more new stuff that Bowser has to be able to do with his two moves for him to be usable in most of the game. Wish Nintendo would do that kind of thing more

@@alexread6767 Not directly, but it's got a ton of abilities the normal Hammer ability doesn't, and some properties on abilities that Hammer doesn't normally have. The dash attack has water properties now, for example, and if you hold B, you can fire a shot out of your hammer to cut ropes (the game was Triple Deluxe btw, love that game!)
Seeing how well Bowser jumps, suddenly, I'm not so sure that Mario or Luigi are the ones we should be calling Jump man.

This "Bowser Mode" mod is basically a concept for a prequel/side-story hybrid DLC mode for Bowser that would be introduced as one of the waves for a hypothetical, yet potential "Super Mario Odyssey: Expansion Pass" and I love it 💖
A prequel mode where Bowser is stealing all the stuff he uses for the wedding would be legit amazing.
but we already got a DLC for Mario Odyssey. Luigi's Balloon World. But that could be a good idea. I doubt Nintendo will go back to any Odyssey ideas, though, so...

This feels like the type of thing in a video game you’d get after completing it, which basically makes you OP against numerous things like bosses that would usually be difficult usually.

I love how well he plays despite not being designed to work outside of that one part on the moon! It’s interesting to see parts of the game interact so well even though they were never intended to. It really shows how much care went into this game
I guarantee you most of those interactions were custom programmed by the modder. People have put bowser outside that part before just to try it and I don't think he can do much
@@Nat_the_Chickenthe final stones probably just have a rock property, the fireball is an altered hat, the hops are identical… The broodal ones actually doing damage is probably added, though not certainly, weird interactions do exist. The jump doing damage is still there, the claw swipes do indeed do damage, as proven by how directly injected bowser can do damage by clawing into Madam Broodal’s face while sort of clipping into her.

This mod seems like something that could lead into a really fun version of any%. The amount of platforming tricks you have to pull off are so cool. Not to mention the fireball tech on power moons, imagine the routing! I could see a speedrunner setting up 3 far off moons with fireballs and then running to collect a 4th one all at the same time.
This just goes to show that if Nintendo made a bowser video game, it would sell well.

Hoping it's possible. Heck, if you mod some boosts for the Mario's in you could make something like Dragon ball: The Breakers or Star Wars Battlefront Darth Vader vs Rebels Call it the Dead by Bowser mod
You should speedrun this mod now, see how fast you beat the game. It would be so cool to see all quick strats.
It's so neat that the only thing that stops this is travelling to bosses and occasional story boss mechanics.
Gets a little less cool when you realize Sanae probably added all these interactions just to make the mod work and they wouldn't have occurred if you just put regular bowser into the rest of the game (which people have done)
I know that this is mostly the mod, but it feels so seamless, like this is Bowser’s actual moveset and the Bowser at the end is an intentionally nerfed version.
This just shows how bowser never dies when he always falls into the lava at the end of most Mario games

I'd love if Nintendo made games or dlc like this where you get to play as diffrent characters in the same style as the regular game. Like actually playing as bowser rather then choosing what he does in a turn based game seems like a really cool idea for a mario game. Maybe he has to save Mario because there is a diffrent big bad that captured peach before him so he is not strong enough to beat em on his own

the coolest part to me is that the mechawiggler can actually be damaged before the fight even starts. I'd fully expect it to just be a static object that exists just for the trigger but for some reason they put the actual boss there and allowed it to take damage and I have no idea why

I came up with a little alternate timeline story to explain this lol So bowser realises the only way to stop Mario is to destroy the Power Moons so he can't progress This is his journey to do so! I guess the bosses are trying to stop him, because the moons are probably very important to them It also explains why he can "collect" moons with fireballs

The lore I imagined is that Mario is off on a vacation, meaning a clone who copies Bowser can steal the princess. However, Bowser is not having it, and beats his own minions who are ordered by the clone to destroy the real Bowser, and teamed up with Cappy who doesn't want to get in Bowser's way, they stop the fake Bowser

Mod idea: king of hill. Basically you have a marked area in a map and every 35 - 40 seconds to marked area changes to a diffrent location of the map, the person who stays in the marked area the longest after 20 minutes gets a point, the person who reaches 5 points first wins.
I just wanna say I LOVE the choice of music that Fir uses in the background, like Luigi's Theme from Strikers Charged for the Wii!!
It is incredible that Bowser’s attacks, especially the fireballs, have all the properties required to damage and destroy so many things they would never touch in normal gameplay. (Or perhaps it is the opposite: that so many objects and bosses are actually damaged/destoyed by such a wide bariety of things). So, like, this implies that just about anything that explodes or can destroy rocks can be used to damage the Broodal mech or Mecha Wiggler.
I mean, I suppose it makes some sense that things like that are handled on some kind of engine-wide system rather than being individually programmed. It just that a lot of games do seem to operate that way where specific items/objects are programmed to respond to only specific triggers.
Seeing the Broodals get absolutely mutilated in mere seconds by their own boss is so funny to me
