Xavi surely knows better than me, but my humble opinion is that it would be stupid to make him play in the first team now. At this age, growing in height, it could be a disaster for tendons to play at such a high level of agonistic football. A few minutes sometimes is ok, but nothing more. Also, i’ve watched full matches of him: he looks a bit too selfish, he makes some unwise choices, and if they give him everything just for his talent he will think he’s a God and never get better. Keep in mind the role of humility in Messi’s rise to the top.
Yes. He is tooooo selfish, he tries for goals from 0° angles and it is stupid when he couldve gotten himself an assist. Even when he played the 5 mins in the first team, he couldve gotten an assist but he tried for goal which would ofc fail as the goalie was in front of him. There's the traditional way in this discipline, there are systems that support traditional wingers, by that I mean, wingers who are full paced, 1v1 & are strictly confined to the wing Mbappe's, Gnabry, Leroy Sane etc & there's a system (a more modern approach to football) were we have makeshift wingers, NOT fast paced but are good at 1v1, can quickly adapt to false9 & easily cut into midfield. Wingers like Bernardo Silva, Grealish, Saka, Fati etc. Football has shifted to a modern approach.
