You gotta understand, we have special forces and riot control welcoming the fans at the train station and accompanying them to the stadium. Then at the stadium the blocks around are separated by police or buildings to make sure the two sides fans don’t meet.

So in continental particularly Southern Europe, each football team also has a basketball team such as ARIS in Greece, where the chants will be the same at either stadium

That message was sent to UEFA. UEFA fines many smaller clubs for their ultras using flares during football matches. That was their message to UEFA.

Favour, how to explain... some of these songs you were dancing on... better your don't understood the words. Football isn't an innocent passtime. You got to realize it's serious, we don't kid about that in Europe. Most of what you just seen and heard was heavily political, or violent, or outrageaous. To take an example, you seen both the clubs of the Thessaloniki in Greece. Politicaly speaking, Aris is far left and Paok far right. They hate each other and you must realize this hate got roots in WW2 and the subsequent dictatorship in Greece when the country was in state of civil war hesitating between a communist revolution and conservatism. So by tradition, people of same opinion rally in stadium to support clubs which are the expression of their beliefs wether they are poltical, regional, religious, ethnical, cultural or esle... But when they meet a club representing the opposing side, this not a game, just a way to deal with antagonism in a more peacefull way than a war. So i can understand it could look like people just having fun, an uncredible atmosphere, but believe me, it's not a genuine party of some sort, and if you don't try to catch the background behind that, you will never got it. ( At least, you recognized the Palestinian flag used by the Celtic Green Brigade. Those people are supporters of the Celtic Glasgow in Scotland, so ask yourself what they are doing with a Palestinian flag if it's not about politic .)
The way I understand it is America have only got two chants: USA, USA, USA 🇺🇸 The second being Let's Go Brandon!

Normally, you just root for the country you are from/most identify with. There's a good video by geography now abou the world cup and how it works, although based on the 2018 world cup, not sure if anyone's done one for 2022, no real difference except for the teams and what groups they are in

In Munich, where the NFL game took place, it is like in the USA, money rules and not passion! Munich is in Bavaria, the country is relatively large but sparsely populated. I live in North Rhine-Westphalia, here are FC Cologne/Schalke/Dortmund and many other clubs that really have less to do with money than with passion, we have 16 million people here in this state and it is the most populated area in Europe . If the NFL game had been in North Rhine-Westphalia and not in Bavaria, the atmosphere would have been like these videos.

Basketball is just NBA and the Olympics....really??? well we just play to practice for the olympics...i do not know why I still get surprised for the lack of basic knowledge. Sports around the world, namely football in europe are about passion, about defending your club, your colours, is not a franchise like in the US, although that is the trend. In europe, sports are not just a game, its a time to be with your mates, sons, daughters and have a common passion. My kids are attending Belenenses (Portugal) games with me since they were 3 years old, that is why they know all the chants by heart.
