Gary's a dude that just pops in and out of the mainstream. Feels like catching up with an old friend every few years. Crazy Talent.
I love how Jamie takes a picture of Joe with the guitar like a proud parent.
hahaha i noticed that too 🤣

Gary is so effortlessly cool
Best organic conversation I've heard in a long time. Being a fan of Gary's and having seen him perform are treats enough, but hearing that he has a new found passion for wildlife photography makes him kin.
had a friend show me gary clark jr about 10 yrs ago when i first started playing guitar. wanted to meet him so bad and jam, this only amplifies that feeling. mad genuine.
Saw this guy in Austin at the Chapelle’s concert he brought me to tears🙏
I appreciate Joe Rogan because he puts people on my radar that i might not have checked out otherwise.
whoa , you've got to listen to this guys catalog. Great musician.
Gary's Blak & Blu album is great. Check it out.
Dude you should check out the Sean Ryan show, Billy Carson and Brandon skinwalker ranch! Those two are really interesting!
@@jowbloe4700 Gary has a good session on tiny desk
@PseudonymAliase I'll check it out. Been a few years since I've checked on Gary.
That acoustic version was amazing! That should be released itself!
Damn right
Better than the studio version
Thank you Gary for signing my guitar and my vinyl. Hope the Stevie wonder vinyl I gave you made it back to Austin. Excited for some new music man.❤
Almost hate that this is up on KZhead because now we can't see the reaction to the music as it plays
Gary Clark Jr is a solid guitar player who I discovered on Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival back in the day. As someone who has played guitar for a long time, I got a lot of respect for this man.
Solid is an understatement
Found him the same way, guy has a powerful sound no doubt
I love the shot of him playing with the crowd reflecting in his aviators. So dang cool man
Solid lol, he’s like 30% better than the average person I would consider “solid”
I heard he has a huge hog in his britches as well
"Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night... all day."
I remember watching the post fight interview when the guy said this
No ya don’t u didn’t even know it was nick diaz I hadda tell u
@@user-rj6qq7nl2sHadda no idea
Yeah.... I don't understand what that intro message means? Train by day ,Joe Rogan podcast all night, all day!!
Crazy cause it doesn’t even sound like Nick Diaz
Love Gary Clark Jr. Amazing surprise this morning.
I heard his song "Numb" a long time ago, and i was surprised that he wasn't a bigger star a long time ago. I'm glad he's getting some recognition now.
I just listened to a little bit of his newer stuff, and "Numb" is still my favorite song by him. Little bit of Jimi Hendrix old school vibe, and the song is real: it has real emotion in the lyrics, in the singer's voice, and in the guitar and drums. It's a great song, and it's definitely worth a listen. It's been on one of my Spotify playlists for a long time.
@@JakeTruthSnakealright I’ll check it out. I’ve heard this guys name a few times but never listened to his stuff. He’s younger than I would have expected based on what people say.
Attitude makes all the difference, and his sucks!
@@AerialEscape Can you explain?

I used to live like this, now I have to be reminded of it.
Wow, Gary is really humble and emotionally intelligent, very pleasant to listen😊
Humble?!?! hahahahahahahahahahahahaha... you're a funny guy!!!
5 minutes in and nobody can put this guy in a box, he like snoop and also other artists, he’s an enigma

I had a beer with Gary at Antone's in Austin Texas . I pretended it wasn't a big deal as people kept bugging him for pictures. He would come back over and keep talking to me . Such a good dude .
Never thought I'd see Joe playing guitar

I live solo in the country. So blessed.
Joe is gonna bring everyone on from the Green Room playlist that’s alive.
This man is so chill and genuine. .
My first music I got into was blues music and nirvana . I've always loved Joe Rogan's knack for interviewing musicians; it's something that resonates deeply me. There was a time in the '90s when I was just a teen, and a major label took an interest in my music. They offered to use it, but the deal wasn't quite right. I don't want to have sour grapes Music has been my faithful companion, with thousands of tunes that have. I tried to catch a break with a label again in the late 2000s, but luck wasn't on my side. However, there was this one band that sent me an email saying they played my CD until it couldn't play anymore. That meant the world to me. Music isn't just a part of me; it is me. It's this powerful thing that I can't quite put into words. There are so many songs I need to finish, so many stories I want to tell. I got so many song ideas that my harddrive is full. Right now, my biggest dream is to find a stable place to live, away from the uncertainty of the streets. A place where I can control the temperature, create a space that's all mine, and focus on my music, my true passion.
Don’t give up!!

36:00 minutes in direct shot at Spotify lol.
😎 editing at the end Jamie. The fading at the end while Gary plays Habits is awesome.
I had the pleasure of getting to see Gary at the Telluride Blues and Brews 2017. Was mind blowing. If im not mistaken he had a problem with one of his guitars and he went and grabbed another one in his lineup from his tech and continued into the rest of the song with a completely different guitar and still made the magic happen. It was impressive and seeing him live cemented him in my book of great blues guitarist.
"Take me down" touches my soul everytime I listen to it.
I had no idea who Gary Clark Jr. was or what he does other than the guitar in the background, But I was a fan after listening to 15 minutes of this interaction with Joe. I still haven't finished the video but as soon as I do I'm looking up Gary Clark Jr. Such a humble and funny guy and talked about Joe being so great. He was just interested in everything and never once made me think he was all about himself. Got a feeling I will be a fan of his now. 😎
Please release an extended version on Spotify…I want to listen to music with Gary Clark Jr.!!!!
Or how hard could it be to get approval for music to be played on the biggest platform in the free world. They should pay Rogan to play their music!

@@greenmanalishi6963 I agree totally, but Gary is keeping that style alive.
I’d go to Montana. Fly fishing with Gary and listen to Joe tell jokes. I had a buddy, a real cowboy, passed now. Wade Montgomery, drank a lot of liquor around fires. Best cowboy singer I’ve ever known. Sad life.

The smile on Eric Clapton's face when hes on stage with Garry says it all, thought his tribute to Beatles (while my gently weeps) with Joe Walsh is a gem
That Beatles tribute performance was awesome. Gary's vocals were so great too.
Archery Exactly as Joe described. You can feel the sound of your own breath, calm deep and centered and Locked In. And then, almost like you reach some sort of plain and all becomes centered, zeroed in, flatline, "beeeeeep"....RELEASE. Arrow strike! Its awesome! Aaaaand Repeat.

I just love this channel so much!
I'm in Austin, Gary is such a beautiful soul for this city.
Having a thing that takes the world away....
If Joe is into this contemporary blues style of music, he needs to check out some of the other artists in Gary's genre. Joe Bonamassa, Eric Gales, Kingfish, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Samantha Fish among others are also worth a listen. Plus, Gary's already jammed with a bunch of them already.
For sure! There's also Joey Landreth and Ariel Posen to check out!
Bonamassa is the man. Really good player

Gary lets Joe try his guitar. If it's anything like taekwondo, archery, or pool, obsessive Joe will be Jimi Hendrix in 2 years and The Joe Rogan Experience will be an actual band.
I think learning some songs he likes and buying extremely expensive guitars are more likely. Given his love of Van Halen I'd predict it would be impossible not to get a good replica of the Frankenstein.
I've done 50 push ups and now im making a comment.
Very talented musician, you've got a great sound. So glad powerful Rogan's back!
