      @HelloThere-jr6gd@HelloThere-jr6gd3 жыл бұрын
    • @@HelloThere-jr6gd Not hugging. A sport has been made of avoiding getting hit, with Edmonton being the current king of doing it. I'd venture this (attempted) dodging accounts for around 10% of all play stoppages due to injuries. A guy thinks he can dodge a hit and all he ends up doing is putting himself in a more vulnerable situation. Whether it's from a misplaced sense of pride or from being a giant open gash of a manboy, guys need to stop doing this and take hits safely. This goes double for those this modern phenomenon of turning your back to an incoming hit when you are 1.5 feet from the boards (as if your opponent suddenly will quantum-physics out of existence if you don't look at him) instead of moving into the boards and taking it on the shoulder. Meanwhile the league thinks what is dangerous is guys playing without helmets for 20 seconds, or taking their helmet off during a fight in a league with mandatory visors. The NHL has next to zero backbone and therefore ready to cave a moment's criticism. As a result they have pre-emptively made rules to avoid confrontation in the first place. The problem being, when you act this way you are not actually acting with player safety in mind, only acting on the desire to avoid any and all criticism.

So much so that when live, other players may not have the opportunity to see the full hit. For all we know, Paul probably just caught a glimpse of it and thought, "Hey! You hurt my teammate? It’s early enough in the season to where you can string together some wins, playing the same teams repeatedly makes a lot of those wins essentially 4 point wins. You’re actually leading in the game, just came off a PK now you’re gonna go right back down a man again. Over a clean hit. I’m all for standing up for teammates but that’s a lack of discipline. Only thing I can think of is a lot of players already gave up on the season.

  • That's the stuff that needs to be taken out of the league; it's a clean hit, hard but clean, stop being a pansy and dropping the gloves. I get standing up for your teammates, but stop fighting guys over a clean hit...line a guy up for a huge hit of you're own but don't fight. Seriously, just took a penalty for nothing.

  • So stupid, having to fight for a clean hit. NHL needs to fix this garbage.

  • Ik it was a clean hit, but when you touch a Star you better expect a reaction, and Nick Paul gave Romanov just that.

    • @Pumpkin Overlord uh what's that supposed to mean, so if Crosby gets hit and sustains a Concussion are you going to call Crosby "Not a star?

    • @Pumpkin Overlord If you read my comment I clearly said it was a clean hit lmao, nothing wrong with the hit. But players are always going to go after guys for those hits even though they are clean.

  • Typical stupid officiating as always. Romanov get 2 mins for defending himself?

  • Maybe it’s time to take out hitting from the game.

  • And yet this same hit on evans from schieffle is a 4 game suspension. And romanov targetted our star. What fucking hippocracy. Theres a reason the nhl isnt on the same par as other sports leagues.

    • They are entirely different scenarios and can't be compared. Take a look at Romanov and his position. He is not lining up his player. Charging requires distance travelled. This is a clean hit. NHL.com has a rulebook section, I suggest you spend a lot of time reading it if you're comparing this hit to the Jake Evans one.

    • @Jamal Bounassif Chabot is a star player? 😂😂😂 Good one. Got any more jokes?

    • @Jamal Bounassif lol. OK. I never categorized him as a bad player, but star player? Nah, he's got a ways to go there. But then again, you're comparing him to the rest of the team (the bar is not set high on either skill or character), so I guess I understand where you're coming from. But hey, typical Sens fan, always needing to insult others to feel better about yourself. Go have a snickers bar.

    • @Jamal Bounassif if I look at the Sens team, there's maybe 2 guys I would take: Stützle and Murray. And that's because they have talent and have not been corrupted by the cheapshot shit you guys like, but is not welcome in the rest of the NHL.
