Actually pushing the idea that if we don't love ourselves then no one will is dangerous. People who are mentally ill or have low self esteem typically tend not to love themselves, so saying that no one else will because of their lack of self love is only worsening their condition and putting the blame on them. How much you love yourself and how much others love you aren't the same thing, they can cross over but they're also separate situations. And people could easily love themselves but others might not. Loving someone is to do with their personality and how they treat you and others. I get where you're coming from but what you're saying can be seriously damaging

My favorite part about all of this is that she says she can love herself better than he can and there is no need for another man/person to do it better. People who are mentally ill or have low self esteem typically tend not to love themselves, so saying that no one else will because of their lack of self love is only worsening their condition and putting the blame on them. How much you love yourself and how much others love you aren't the same thing, they can cross over but they're also separate situations. And people could easily love themselves but others might not.
