Absolutely, and it's toxic. But to say professional athletes don't owe the media access to information that many many fans are craving for is misguided. Agree to disagree but being candid when asked a basic question is something I feel pro athletes must accept as part of their job. This goes for coaches, front office, media relations reps, etc etc.
