Bucky the Vampire Slayer is a fair comparison. Ginger Panther is a very different proposition. There is, however, a version of Cheetah (the villainess opposite Wonder Woman) who comes off as a Black Panther rip-off in certain ways.

I think we should call it a day and put the franchise on Ice for at least a decade. Daniel Craig did an excellent job, depending on who you ask, he's either the best or the second best Bond, so let people appreciate his work for a while before we jump back in. Give it 10 or so years, so that people start asking for more

There have been lots of "Jane Blonde" figures in spy fiction and a lot of them are fun, but you can't expect to change the gender of the title character of a franchise and obtain the same loyalty from fans.

Not even a question. Barbara Broccoli has said they are not interested in creating a universe or a female bond. at best maybe a female 00 agent along side 007. also so as much as ppl like paloma (anna de armas) she won't be getting a spin-off movie.
If only there were other numbers besides 007. But, sadly, our numbering system only includes the single number. Maybe one day when our knowledge of mathematics has progressed enough, we will be able to have agents with other numbers. But until then I guess if we want a female British spy then 007 it has to be.

Female 007? I have no real issue with this at some point. However, Famke, as much as she was amazing in that Pierce installment, is now far too old and has subjected herself to far too many [unforunate] facial surgeries which have rendered her once naturally beautiful face into something else. This is not ageism nor body shaming. These are empirical facts. She is, therefore, inappropriate to play 007. Sorry Famke...

Cool. Without getting into my opinion if O8, I think the same way, @@THEAdmiralXizor It counts as a tie-in and just might be free of inconsistencies with O11 through O13. Political influences on it are also a separate subject. Precedents for female 00 agents: We don't know who all were in the nine chairs with their backs to the camera. I think female 00s get mentioned in the tie-in media (games and relatively new books). I believe Alec T was the very first 00 besides 7 to be given a full Identity. So basically there's plenty of room for consistent retcon to say a woman with this designation is no new development.

@@AnnaAnna-uc2ff True and actors who played Bond have aged out of the role with Roger Moore being the oldest at 57. As much as I liked Roger, his age was showing by the time he retired from the part. Famke Janssen will turn 60 this coming November, and while I don’t fault her for her age, like any male in the role, that is too old for the character.
Ian Fleming wrote Bond as a bloke,, a British gentleman, end of story. Go make your own female lead spy series

Absolutely NOT , I am all for NEW and Talented Story or Spin Off , any woman taking the Role the Change CAN be a new 007 just NOT James Bond , Leave the Classics as they are ,just use the Creativity to Write a New and Compelling spin off for a New 007 and new Female Name .. Too often has it been that writers have gotten complacent and Lazy ,All they need to do is dig deep for a New and Relevant Character arc of a woman taking on being the new 007 , they started to , for a Second and then Gave Bond his codename back , All they need do is write a decent NEW and Relevant hand off so Bond can RIP or Retire or whatever, but leave the Classics alone and build new and Relevant Characters , Read I have said New and Relevant a few times , this DOES Not mean this Woke BS , it means Do the work and Build a New Character Arc that need never play into Woke BS and you will always have a huge Fan Base and Cash Cow ,but you have to allow the Right People to Write the Story and Keep Every Last single Woke Ideology out of anything 007,Or Bond Related ... They could do what some have suggested and make an original franchise where they have no rules, lore, or canon to stick to, or maybe just make a new 00 just for her then you can have a film where Bond and 00 team up and work together because the threat is too big for one person (maybe they have to be in two different places at once). They could show how men and women can do the same thing or they can play to their strengths and complement each other... ..or they can burn the corpse they killed already and do what has killed off all other beloved franchises. Bond died, they killed him but really he was dead before then, the last film was more the funeral.

Though I disagree, and 007 looks fine and should stay the manly man film, I see only one actress could fit 007 shoes and it is the stunning character of "Cherie" in TheBoysTV show "Jordana Lajoie" in my opinion
