Owned and built by Steve Geyer. 190E Limited Sportline with 3.6l AMG motor (from a 95 C36). Converted to a manual transmission and has a Getrag 5 speed from a 190e 16 valve.

To answer Michael Jansen, I have a 190 3.6 too and you can make it work with a manual box sourced from an M104 manual, then plug in an M104 manual ECU. Mine uses a W202 280 ECU. Recently, 5 years after mine was finished, I have found out that there is a manual map in the original C36 ECU, but it needs to be plugged into a STAR machine then it can be configured from there...allegedly. I have some vids on youtube of me at Hockenheim with my car. ( Jeremy 190E 3.6 at Hockenheim.)
Hi Jeremy, I’m on a 190E M104 3.2l project now. It’s Right Hand Drive. I wonder what radiator and radiator fan you used to be able to fit in? Can you please share the part numbers?
@@WagenDas I used the original 2.6L and just left it in. No problems at all.

We never received the 2.5 16v in the US, so its a Getrag from a 2.3 16 valve that Steve rebuilt.

Euro lights, ambers, strip the tints, drop the front ride height to level it up with the rear, almost the perfect car. I do miss my old 2.6
I'm doing some thing similar with my 190 but using the 2L engine out of a 1999 CLK really interested in how the wiring was over come would you be willing to share some information?

I had a C36 and I wish I would have kept it because I just got a W140 S320 and would have loved to put the C36 motor in it.

Cold Air Intake over the exhaust manifold is useless, it should be where the airbox was with a heat shield around it.
Yes I do agree with, with no airbox. It loss horsepower.
Is that a brass abs system, or is it just the lighting?

That's going to depend upon what your mechanic charges and what type of injection system you plan on using. Then factor in the price of all the associated parts. That isn't something I can answer
The car isn't finished so I believe Steve plans on installing a factory airbox setup. The cone filter is just on there till he comes up with a finalized solution.
I would pay a decent amount of money in the future if I can find someone to build my 1993 190e 2.6 into this :)! Right now I have a 98% stock 190e 2.6 with original black paint + grey side moldings, cream interior, and original rims. The only thing that isn't stock is the sound system and headlights, I have ADS front speakers, Alpine Type R rear speakers, Pioneer DEH-P8400BH car receiver, and an Audiobahn 800watt 4 channel amp, along with new HID Headlights.
Original motor was a M103, which is not a Cosworth motor. Your thinking the 190e 16valve, thats the only one with a Cosworth motor. I am sure all of the take off parts are in his garage. Two schools of thought, keep it stock or modify it. Steve is of the latter and this car is his idea of what AMG "should of" built.
If the opportunity presents itself, then yes I will do a video. It's not a daily driver for him, so its rarely driven.

I have a 190e and those same wheels but have an issue with the inside of the rim hitting the shock! How did you manage this?
You sure its the wheel and not the tire? Running the wrong size tire will cause rubbing issues, assuming of course the offset of your wheel is correct, should be roughly 35-42mm offset

I have one of the 700 that were made. Mine is still 100% stock. What did he do with the original Cosworth engine, and orginal shifter, and wheels? Beautiful car, but sad that its not stock like it should be.
Michael Droll the LE didn't come with the cosworth motor. I used to own a 1993 190E limited edition it came with the 2.6 M103 motor. I ended up selling

+MrEeeaddict Not hard, although some rare parts could be NLA, like some of the carbon fiber parts for the 190e 2.6 limited.

What do you mean by "bases"? Transmission is a five speed from a 16valve, rebuilt and a custom clutch

I do not believe Steve has really pushed this car yet, as the motor was rebuilt before final assembly and its in its "break in" phase.

I have covered this already, it is a temporary solution till a factory airbox (C36 variant probably) can be modified to fit the engine bay.
Motoren Zimmer from Germany build a track tool withe this engine. The engine was brand new ;)

thats probably the worst place for that air filter
Thats the original tubing the filter is mounted to, but the airbox with the cold air intake function is removed.. Probably done so to hear the awesome intake sound.
I saw an AMG engine of that on my own and it was exact the same

Lynx Star Automotive Since Steve is a Master Tech at a MB dealer, its safe to say everything he installs on his car is factory MB. Although in the case of the hood pad, I don't know if he installed a new one or if that was the one on the car when it got it.
2phast Tactical I'm also a master tech, and specialize on European cars. That is neither here nor there. I owned a 190 Cosworth for over 12 years. It was my first car, and my baby. IIRC, the hood pad on the w201 stretched all the way to the front of the hood latch/radiator support area. That was how it was on my 190. I believe the aftermarket pads only go as far up as the one in this video. Not knocking his ride, it's absolutely gorgeous, and IMO, that hood pad looks better than the factory one.
Lynx Star Automotive It's safe to assume the hood pad was on the car when he purchased it. Given its condition, replacing it with a factory hood pad probably isn't justified.
