Guys, this is absolutely amazing. Definitely gives Team APS vibes and I’m here for it. Can’t wait for next episode!
What's APS?
@@sirvanissyugioh challenge they had a similar series for yugioh but the winner got to keep the rarest card
@@dharris5887 But... what's APS?
@@isiproye and uhhhh what's A.. and P... and S...?
@@sirvanissit’s a KZhead channel
I already see myself getting heavily invested into this series 👌🏻🔥 great work gentlemen
It's so refreshing to watch box opening where the big hits can be things like professor's research and nest ball and not just the money makers. Can't wait to see how the decks evolve going forward!
as someone who played every prerelease event this block, I’m super hyped for this series!
Pokémons twist of the progression series, I love it! It would have been cool to see you guys start with a build & battle kit to at least guarentee equal trainers for both players.
Wondering why Yugioh has these progression series but Pokemon doesn't. The content creation sphere is super different between these two card games, even MTG also gets way better content creation (granted it is also older and has more people playing).
funner at their play level if they dont
@@coolyeh1017Ik im coming in a few months after the comment, but the reason is they have completely different communities. If you search in an incognito window “magic tcg” or “yugioh tcg” you get a variety of content, from deck techs to product reviews, to pack openings. Searching “Pokemon tcg” will pretty much just give you pack openings, I guess where the casual collector is just a large part of the community (how many people collect the cards but don’t know how to play the game). The best way to get gameplay and is it worth it style content is putting “Pokémon tcg deck” and that seems to do a decent job filtering
Was watching the whole time, no distractions, great entertainment. Keep it going, cant wait for episode 2
I think I found a new favorite format! Definitely an expensive one, but I love how it explores the value of all the cards in a given set!
Good stuff!! Super cool idea for sure!! I think Azul should have opened the pitty packs to end the video. Can't wait for the next one!!
It's probably better that he opens them alongside the cards from the next set in the next episode
As someone who came to Pokémon from Yugioh and still watched a lot of Yugioh content- dang this is fun. Cimo’s Yugioh progression series and everything that followed jt are so fun to watch, but Yugioh sets after around 2012 get really hard to use in sealed formats like this, and I think Pokémon’s mechanics are PERFECT for this idea. So excited to see where y’all take this
This is such a great idea. Honestly we’d probably watch anything with you both in it but when I heard about the new idea from the pod, I didn’t think it would be this good! Keep it up guys 👍🏼
Probably new to Pokemon, but other TCGs have been doing these types of games a lot. Team Samurai X has a duel night they do this with for Yugi.
Love the idea for this series. Can’t wait for the next one
This is great stuff! I love the idea of each of your decks growing and changing as you add more set releases. Can't wait to see the next episode of this series!
Absolutely love this guys. Fun series like this are what has been missing from Pokémon tcg KZhead and I cant wait for more!
Love this! Have always wanted such a series for Pokemon and you guys brought incredible quality as always! Great job, stoked for more!❤
More of this! You guys are a blast to listen to on the podcast and to see the energy you bring to the game is infectious! This was a great start to what will be a great series. Well done guys!
This is awesome. As someone who is new to the game and started collecting with this set, I love seeing you guys build and battle with it and am looking forward to each new episode with the coming sets!
I am loving this series I'm completely new to Pokemon TCG but you guys make it really easy to follow and I'm honestly enjoying every minute of it! I honestly cant wait for more episodes I'll binge this series as soon as I see the notification I wish you guys the best and may luck be on your side for the upcoming episodes!
Great idea for a series. Looking forward to see how your decks evolve
Love this series / new channel - excited for the next episode when you can start to tech in things for each others decks with your pulls, makes the deck building very interesting!
This was great! I love the different style of video and editing! Also you guys being together in person!!! 😍
A blast to watch from start to finish!
This is such a sick idea for a series! Can't wait for more!
I am really liking this kind of content! Waiting for the second match up! ❤❤❤
Love this!! Can’t wait to see the decks develop.
Awesome video - looking forward to the rest of the series!
Awesome idea guys. Cant wait for more of this!
This is super fun, but with the distribution of cards in a booster box it could very easily become a game of just who got lucky, as I think was shown with how insanely better Chip is already set up for the whole series. While both players will continue to get cards from future sets, base set especially is unique in that it includes essential Pokémon search and draw support that usually is only printed for base set, while future expansions only include situational tech cards that can synergize well, but ultimately operate with the assumption that you have access to the essentials already. Azul is probably doomed here for the whole series if he’s up against 3 pokegear and 3 research, along with 3 times the general ball search (future sets have practically no ball search options), while having little to no opportunity for such cards in the future. I know Azul gets a bundle of 6 packs, but those packs have almost no chance to give him anywhere near even material to Chip for the essentials. Because of the special importance of base set specifically, I think they should consider opening an additional 18 packs each, combining to 1 full booster box per player, even if it’s only for base set and not future sets. It should help greatly with the long term viability of the series, since people will eventually get tired of watching 1-sided beat downs where skill is a virtual non-factor.
This series looks fun af. Definitely going to be watching in the future.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this, but it was entertaining. It is a nice change of pace from competitive conversations all of the time. I like how both of you had a good sense of humor throughout. Knowing that your decks were probably going to be bad, you did what you could with what you pulled. Nice work, guys.
Oh my God this series will be GOLD!!!!
What an awesome series to start, pulling packs and playing the cards. not just someone who pulls and puts it into a binder to never see the light of day. new to this channel but subscribed and waiting to see the rest!
That was fun. Looking forward to the next one.
Love this kind of serie, I like also the idea of making the best set only using card of the set including only trainers and supporters
This is awesome idea guys! Keep up with more episodes!
Was fun seeing how you set up your decks even with only 9 booster packs with a bit of synergy going on the decks already looking strong.
Damn, Pokemon Progression Series lol, excellent video and keep on bring them
Great concept!! Can’t wait for the next episode
Great concept for new content. Chip def had the advantage hopefully the 6 packs get you some good cards Azul
this was cool! love chip staying in announcer mode.
This is so cool please keep doing this thanks for so much cool stuff
Giving all carda and pokemon time to shine, nice work. Greatings from Nis,Serbia !
This is such a great idea for a series!!!
This was really fun to watch!
This content is INCREDIBLE
Sick idea! Love this
So excited to see more of this series! Great job guys!
This is great, I love it, I wish I could do the same thing and follow along with a buddy
Great stuff guys, Maybe azul could open his pitty packs in this episode, so we could leave on a cliff-hanger of how the next match could play out. Keep up the good content!
I love this idea!! Such a fun video. Cant wait to see how your decks evolve. So cool how less plaued cards can be highlighted in such a fun way.
Progression Series are my favorite content from Yugioh (I love you Alex Cimo) so I’m stoked to see that sort of content coming to the Pokémon TCG! Looking forward to more!!!
This was so much fun to watch!! I look forward to the rest of this series! 😊
Best pokemon content I’ve watch all day. Excited to see this series progress
Yooo this is dope yall ❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥.Looking forward to seeing content on this page
Omg ! This concept is cool ! I don’t usually see any challenges based on the Pokémon card game
Love this type of content!
Really cool idea! I think it could be fun to try it for myself if I can talk someone into it
This was great! Def game for more of these :-)
THIS IS GREAT!!!! THANK YOU!!! 🙏
Definitely inspired by Cimo’s Progression Series for YuGiOh. That said, it’s super cool to see it done with Pokémon. Could be interesting to see a full Pokémon Progression Series starting from Base Set at some point (with digital pack openings), though that’s a big commitment.
This was awesome 🤩
This is a fantastic idea. Definitely earned the sub off the rip!
I’m super hyped for this series! Fun formats and rogue stuff is one of my favorites! Can’t wait to see this series grow
listening to azul strat is like a tape slowly picking up speed fastforwarding
This was so entertaining, im new to the game but i really enjoyed watching you both play
Cimo's progression series finally makes its way to Pokemon. Suprised it took this long for someone to try it out in this space
Very nice, started to collect pokemon cards again and thinking of testing the tcg too, so this series might help me :D
This series is going to be so much fun! Enjoyed watching Yugioh series like this and this Pokémon one is already super enjoyable!
Add the pity pack opening to the end of the video
That way the video just doesn't end , and the loser can explain the changes to the decklist and the game plan moving forward
Great idea. Subscribed.
Looks so fun need part 2
Love this idea!
Such a cool idea for a series
Love it, makes me wanna do the same thing at home for fun. Can't wait for the next videos
The content everyone needed
This is an awesome idea
This is great excited for the next one!
I really like this content!!
I sent this to Azul on Twitter, but figured I could share here as well. My juniors division son and I are thinking about heading to our first regional(s) next season. A video showing how and what you pack in terms of gameplay items for a big tournament would be super helpful. Do you bring all the possible tech cards or just figure that you'll be able to pick up certain necessities at the event itself? Stuff like that.
That was a good one, I like the gameplay with these super scuffed decks (although Chip's deck was kinda broken lol). The pity packs definitely seem like a good play too, Azul needs some help here.
So I just started playing a little over a year ago, and this was *exactly* the kind of of content I was looking for when I attended my first pre-release, which just happened to be SVI 😊
Team Star Grunt is a great way to keep your opponent in top deck mode, stopping them from drawing into a Prof. Research and such.
Can’t wait to see this series progress
This was so cool and i loved this! Wanted to do something like this myself for a while and im glad to see two really good players doing it! Cant wait to keep watching this series play out as Pokemon intended 😂
This is so sick!
This was great content
I've been doing a progression series with a friend, starting from Base Set, and another one online in TCG Live. They're both really fun and the idea works great with Pokemon! This looks like it'll be fun too :) It might be better to each open a box though? I know that's more expensive but it could get really hard to have proper evolution lines this way.
i loved this with some cheetos and a beer , need part 2 asap
Fair play I love the concept of this. Sounds like it'll be a great series to follow. Shame we didn't see what Azul got from the pity packs but can't wait for the next openings.
can't wait to see the rest of the episodes!
16:00 jacq jack jacq jack…same lol
Really fun series, can't wait for the rest!
Yes more of this!
I love this idea
Love this video guys! Would love to see the winner handing the pity packs over the loser at the end of the video.
This is a great content idea. Very excited for the future episodes. Keep it up guys!
It felt like watching someone who just started at the game go to a locals and have to face someone that has been playing for years with meta decks but it was fun. I hope Azul gets ralts and kirlias out of those pitty packs 🤣
rarran influence in card games is crazy you guys did a great job in doing the PTCG version cant wait for the next episode
Man, I love this type of content! I wish I had the money to be able to afford to do these sorts of challenges (and friends who are into pokemon too 😅). Great content guys, keep up the great work!
I have been wanting to see a series like this forever. I am surprised the decks were as useable as they were. I figured they would be unplayable at first
I don't watch or play Pokemon TCG anymore but I love progression series and this is a good way for an out of touch player like me who knows the basics to see what's new and cool so I'm a big fan already. Though small rules question was using the 2 fighting energy ability allowed when the Pokemon was paralyzed? I remember abilities being shut off by paralysis but besides a random tournament I did with lost box a year ago I havent played since gen 1 cards lol
