Artificial hearts operate like a natural human heart. They are made of soft "biomaterials" intended to lessen the risk of blood clots or rejection by the immune system and are powered by a belt of lithium batteries.VIDEOGRAPHIC

So if you forget to charge your heart you’re dead? Yikes

@CPA Penguin yes indeed
Can the brain actually live forever 🤔 think about it

2015: oh cool i got my artificial hreart but it has a charger for 5 years 2020: oh no *faints*
Can you even get scared at this point? The blood isn't going to be racing through your veins if your heart moves at the same pace as normal.
Good question
you can get scared even without an organic heart inside, as an entire flight or fight response triggers in your body when you experience fear. the only difference is, among all the different symptoms of being in fight or flight mode, you won't be able to experience a racing heart. that's all. but you will still have heightened sense of hyper-vigilance, fearful/anxious thoughts, and adrenaline rushing through your bloodstream.

Woman : You Monster! Do you even have a Heart?! Murderer : *Yes, but actually no*
Imagine someone die from accident and his heart continues to beat😑
so he's alive.
Damn, i have heard that artificial heartbeat before..sounds like a Draft Punk Concert
This didn't age well.

That’s incredible!
How ducking scarry it would be when electricity stops for a prolonged period of time or to live alone and sleep more than 8 hours
Generators and lots of petrol
imagine you're just chilling and your heart runs out of batteries
The heart of Genos 😂
lol
Tissue moving at 0:10 cool dude!
Imagine your city has no electricity for 3 months
So if your tired the heartbeat will not be fast?
I am amazed...
Can a dead be reviewed by artificial heart?
i subscribed to this Channel!!!!
So they can make a human robot what if all of us a robot 😮 Mind blowing
You mean a cyborg?
Ok dude that is just creepy i want to remain human
We are biological machines, why do you think cyborgs were modeled after humans? instead of having biological organs, the cyborgs have machines replicating the same tasks as the human body.
Bruh go slowly
Haha
Was this the artificial heart the one developed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich?
i wonder if they can attach a artificial heart anywhere in the body , like the foot where the heart has problems sending blood back up when a person gets older, i believe if they put more then one pulsing device to push blood in the body that the normal heart wouldn't have to be removed , i believe one of the main reasons the heart gets damaged is arteries get blocked and the heart cant push the blood through the arteries which makes the blood come back to the heart abnormally and makes the heart have to work harder to push the blood , i believe making a smaller artificial heart and putting it in other locations in the body that the heart wouldn't have to work so hard and would be able to heal itself , its the rate blood is going into the heart and coming out of the heart that damages it
How would it cost to get fixing artificial heart like that of
are they cant feel their heartbeat anymore?
Imagine forgetting your heart charger
This is honestly really cool!
More like really creepy
Does it play music?
Where is the off switch ?
Built different
It would be very unsettling to know exactly how many heartbeats you have left 😬
Intriguing i want blueprints
basi plzzzzzz
And What happen if they use the right or the left lung like a blood pump. After some artifical modification it can transport blood instead of the heart, without external powersourch.
Imagine just forgetting to charge the heart
Check out Scandinavian Real Heart
Man im proud to have a heart
the one can hear his mechanical heart sound like some analog clock
Powered with ur body
amazing technology that will only improve as SynCarida has received a U.S. patent for Next Generation Total Artificial Heart.
Future model should have activity monitor and increase rate depending on amount of exertion. Shame it only lasts 5 years though. That’s a mighty serious procedure to replace twice a decade...but those are years people wouldn’t have before this invention, so it’s better than nothing.
The idea is that it lasts untill you find a donor and it's replaced with an actual heart, which will last longer.
There is already a new artificial heart that is being made on Australia(It still needs to pass clinical trials), but in theory it could last at the very least 10 years it could become a treatment for people that can't have a heart transplant or people that don't want to deal with the adverse effects of inmunosupressant drug.
nanomachines, son
You could be an extremely good long distance runner if you speed it up a ton causing your body to get more oxygen...theoretically
Does artificial heart affects your human emotion? does it make you stop from being nervous?
Can i charge it by mu phone charger ??!?
if someone ask me how to make artificial heart without using battery, I can tell them how, I just don't have tools to make artificial heart, I want to help but I don't have tools to make parts
So does this mean in the future we will look like half robot half human like the character in cyberpunk
This artificial heart have feelings?????
robot plastic surgery:
5 hours
Well, guess you need battery back ups
my sister needs. one
Now “chuckles” Lets Go Practice Medicine.
If we only can figure how to deal with radiation, we can power our car for a life time with only 0.1 kg of Uranium, and thus even smaller amount can power our heart for hundreds years
My heart:what OK also it need.a charger?
then you forget to have sensor, when the body is running, they should have sense the need of more oxygen pump to the body. the hear needs to be capable to synchronized with the bodies need when to adjust. if not you gonna suffer with too low of oxygen or too much of oxygen
ITsupportian I'm sure they would've figured that out, moron
@@maniacalo2901 well not really.. he is right. I’m assuming people that undergo these transplants are not allowed to do any kind of physical activities. Moron.
what if i just cut the charging wire? i bet i am not a physcopath
Will the heart like over heat
Maybe if the machine heart pumping fast maybe the components will overheat but if components near at the blood while the machine is heating it will heat the blood as well while the heart pump machine is overheating maybe the components will be damage needed repair or replace the heart pump machine
@Nicol hold up you the engineer gaming 😳😲
CYBERPUNK 2077
heart issue if the main cause of death in people that live 120+ years imagine if their heart dont fail n what if they can actually live 200+ years 💀💀
Imagine the battery have some peoblem...or explode bcuz its made in china... 😱😱😰🤐
Can a person be immortal if they have a artificial heart and other organs that will keep the body clean and stop it from aging. Think about it
+Raymond655 actually, if you think about it, the human body replaces its cells every two years, what's the difference? that you are doing this all at once? can you say you are the same person over time or your behaviour changes? i don't think there's a problem with that change.
When cells replace they get smaller and eventually get to small and that's why you age and then die ( something like that anyways )
Actually they don't get smaller LOL! , They do not replicate very well, every time they lose a little bit of dna material until they can no longer divided well you die , atleast thats the theory "Telomeres shortening" (it limits the infinite division of human cell)
In old age, the degradation of the capillaries of the brain leads to the death of neurons and the development of dementia. The limit of clarity is about 120 years. You are one and half kilogram pice of fat programmed to self-destruct and can do nothing about it
Our poor brain has a storage of 12 petabytes which will be approximately filled with memory at about 120 years of old age.so when you live for 300 years you wont to be able to speak a word because your brain is filled.
cyburhpunk
Ohboy you have to actively charge it a lot, apple uses definitely wont survive this quite literally
I do like more artificial hearts without a beat, based on the principle of a propeller pump, than this kind of hearts with a beat. "Beating" is basically not a good thing for the body vasculature.
+Rivas People can live very long lives with a beating heart. I'm sure it's better than a failing heart.
jaffyfoxy I'm pretty sure the people who designed it thought of all of this. They didn't just pull this design out of their ass.
+Random Dude nature did, but you know what, have you seen that animal in nature, the one who have wheels? No? that's because nature didn't invent wheels, too complex, but humans did, can you imagine if we had to adapt a car to work on legs? that would be hard because it's a much more complex system. in this case, you're comparing a small quad microturbine with two separate supercapacitors and 70 years of service life to something wich is basically a waste of power storage space, believe me, if western digital can do that wonderful miniaturization on hard disk drivers, in the near future we could simply 3d print them. I'd love to have my own 3d printed heart, if we could just hack it...
The pulse is needed to maintain the strength of the artery walls. When using pumps of constant flow, the walls of arteries become thinner, which can lead to bleeding. However, the most advanced pump like heartmate 3 can imitate the pulse, so that the membrane machines are really outdated.
Hey wanna come over? No i have to charge my heart
