ENHANCED Performance, Durability, and Comfort!! Nicks Wedge Soles
We are thrilled to announce an exciting update to our product line: the introduction of our new wedge sole options! After extensive testing, we have made the decision to switch to these new soles to provide you with enhanced performance, durability, and comfort.
Expanded Size Availability:
Our new wedge sole options now come in larger sizes. This means they are available on Thurman lasts, safety toes, and for individuals who wear larger than a size 12.
Superior Performance:
The new wedge soles have undergone rigorous lab testing and have outperformed the competition. They boast 3 times the abrasion resistance and durability compared to Vibram wedge soles. You can trust that these soles are built to last, even in the toughest environments.
MaxWedge
The MaxWedge features a dual-density Polyurethane sole, providing excellent traction and durability. The bottom layer ensures stability, while the top layer offers cushioning for all-day comfort.
This will be the standard offering for our hiking line and wedge sole boots designed for work, like the HardwearPro.
NicksWedge
Ideal for various environments, the Nicks Wedge is crafted from Polyurethane material designed for long-wearing, shock-absorbent performance. It has a unique rubber-like feel that combines slip-resistant properties with lightweight, single-density outsole construction.
This option is perfect for both work and casual wear.

The old vibram soles look much better with the thin horizontal lines rather than the goofy zigzag imo. Hope these really last longer.
Is nicks wedge made by some company that makes the thorogood wedge?I’ve asked on mulysites and never get an answer lol. Thorogood has best wedge sole by far

I really want to try the Max Wedge. I guess I’ll need to give the ThurmanNW a go again.
Love your videos on the prospectors!
@@gotmoore69 thanks dude!
Have your tried the delta arch?
@@freakyfighter5 nope. Curious about it. But also weary about how it will impact boot size as it will take up volume.
I got a pair of Nicks moc toe wedge boot with the sand wedge. At work I walk on very abrasive flooring on an assembly line on and off every day. The outsole wore out within 2 months. I had them resoled locally with a more durable vibram Christie sole. That only lasted 3.5 months. I called Nicks and they said for maximum durability to go with the sierra sole. Is that factual? I spend over $500 for those boots, $130 for the first resole, and now another $250 to have Nicks put the sierra sole. I really like this boot but if this sole doesn’t last at least 12-16 months, I can no longer continue to spend money on them.
Hey there, While the Sand Wedges are a great choice for concrete flooring they may not last as long as some of our rubber or harder polyurethane options. If you still need a sole with a fair amount of cushion but need something that lasts longer then I think you've made the right choice with the Sierra Sole. The Sierra Sole is one of our longest-lasting options due to the thick rubber but still has plenty of cushion due to the foam in the heel. If you have any other questions or concerns about this please feel free to contact our customer service email at customerservice@nicksboots.com. Thanks!
Next time try to get the Vibram christie, have a cobbler sand it smooth, cement/glue on a flat sierra. Now every time your sierra wear out, just need to cement/glue on another sierra. that is like a 50-70$ dollar job. Hell you can even do it yourself if you want to. Now you have a pair that lasts as long as the upper leather. I did that to 2 pairs of my boots now. It works.
That max wedge looks really nice I wish I could afford a boot for every scenario like casually hiking but with my career I can wear through the toughest outsole in less than 4 months and I work in every condition
@@absolute.freedom I absolutely do, it’s been almost 3 months and two weeks and I stopped wearing my boots with Vibram red x ❌ so I can not damage the leather and get them re soled. I’m mostly walking and running on concrete and hopping in and out of my rear load Peterbilt recycling truck with spikey steel stairs literally several hundred times a day 5 days a week

@@absolute.freedom yeah they’re still pretty good in a few spots and the best outsoles I’ve ever had
Awesome work as usual guys. That Max Tread wedge sole is burly. Hopefully I can get these when I need a resole on my tactical boots 👍
If you place an order for a resole make sure to put detailed notes in the notes section. We should be able to make this happen!
What are the doing with the surplus vibram soles?
I have a set of custom ropers on order. Can that be changed to one of these wedge soles?
Will you ever offer the heritage boots with different color outsoles other than black?
We currently offer certain heritage models with Honey Vibram, Nicks White Wedge, and Nicks Brown Wedge.
@@nicksboots yeah I ultimately chose the black vibram 700 v-bar. It would great if offer brown full and half soles. I’d also think it would be cool if you offered Dr. Soles and Dainite.
Can you resole a builder pro with one of this?
If the BuilderPro was built on the HNW moderate arch last we should be able to resole it with one of the options shown in the video!
I think I still like the look of my Builder Pros better!
The max wedge only comes in black?
That's correct, the Max Wedge only comes in the black/gray color.
@@nicksbootswill white be offered in the future for the max wedge?
@@leeschanck4037 A white max wedge will not be offered anytime soon, however we do have our Nicks White Wedge.
is the price of the boots going down? bc ive tried dozens uporn dozens of soles over the years and vibram is unbeatable, nothing works better.
Prices going up of course
The Nicks wedge soles outpaced the Vibram wedge soles 3X in an independent test. 2:30
I hate the two tone color on the max wedge. Make it all black or all gray.
Thank you for the feedback, we will take this into consideration!
Maxwedge in honey or sand please!
I would recommend taking a look at the Nicks White Wedge sole, this might get you the desired look you are hoping for.
@@nicksboots thanks, that would be my first choice, though was hoping for a little traction and sort of hiking, working, church, doitall sort of sole
Need to start bringing some unique leather colors Would love to have a purple leather americana Truman boots has u guys on leather colors You could do a unique pre-order or super limited run
Hello...is this the same sole ad the Thorogood wedge soles?
Hey there, our Nicks wedge sole is comparable to the Thorogood wedge sole.
My guess is same company makes it. I’ve been wondering myself lol
wedge soles, aka i wanna be looking like an 80 year old
stick to your roots
What 80-year-olds are wearing wedge soles. It's a common work boot sole.
