The priest said they don't know what to do with their predator priests. Well, why not report them to the police, have them prosecuted, stand before justice, and pay for their crimes in jail. Paedophilia is clearly, clearly a crime.

You see the culmination now with Francis...he's a self-admitted communist. Its all fairly well documented with what happened...similar thing happened with the Ivy league schools...hence they are all Marxist now.
That is exactly what happens in dioceses with credible accusations. They are passed on to the police. Religious orders need to follow that same protocol!

Salesian High School is in the neighborhood where I grew up. This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach. I’d say some people are born without a conscience but that interpretation is far too charitable… absolving them of moral responsibility. They know exactly what they’re doing. In my family, a priest came in to help us with education because we were orphans but instead he took advantage of us😢by then i was 8 years then got me pregnant at 14 and the next thing was doing abortion 😢but no one could believe us instead they said (my relatives)that were tarnishing the man of God.

I am Catholic and this abuse happens in all religions. I’m a survivor of abuse, not by a priest but from a family member. We suffer for all our lives and it shapes us from the moment we are abused. I read about the abuse that happens in The Jehovah Witnesses, it was also appalling, the Amish, and so on and so on. As a parent, I would have moved heaven and earth to make someone pay if they abused my children or any child. I would have gone straight to the authorities and NOT the Churches.
Yes, parents shouldn't shy away from talking about sex or sexual abuse be it in school, church, relatives etc. Awareness can help children to avoid and report predators.
Never tell me the church is the safest place again. Politicians need to get tougher on these churches. Tax them, remove bankruptcy pregnancy, double the prison sentences for sexual assault/rape and lastly fut statue of limitations on rape, sexual assault and harassment.
Priests should marry and have babies. Orthodox priests do and they are good.

I have been witness to such acts, even the secretary of the Cardinal in India was involved. The hunger for power, the basic control has turned me off religion for life. I just can't digest that a system that preaches can then ignore the goings on in its system.

In most cases the parents refuse to believe their children because they believe priests are holy.

Most Catholics are not very sophisticated people, in my experience. The Church also discourages questioning their authority, children speaking up, educating women, etc., etc.

I came across a certain man's testimony, his name is James Kawalya. He was taken to the Vatican to be trained to be one of the priests when he grows up at the age of 12. He said it's a church disgusing themselves as children of God, he said in reality it's a cult where you get to know, that indeed there's an entity called Satan. He said for 5 years the priests there continuously raped him that he lost his mind not to satisfy their urges but for some kinda of rituals. Then he was taken to a rehab where they started giving him hard drugs to lose his mind some more. It isn't just the Catholic Church, some other churches and other people from other religions abuse children and other people whilst hiding behind religion cause they know people trust them.

As parents we/schools have spent so much time teaching our children about "stranger danger" without realizing it's not the big bad perverted stranger lurking around every corner they need to be afraid of.... It's the people closest to them they are taught to trust that are the real threat. Such as priests /pastors and Rabbis, lCamp counselors, scout leaders, teachers and school staff, neighbors , even family members and family friends! Parents need to ask the hats questions if they notice any signs of sexual abuse been there done that! Thankfully the time change that year my son was in 1st grade.

The Officer from the Child Abuse Office said straight out that their policy is to move perpetrators. Why not ask him if police should be called? Why didn't CNN call the police?

I’m a recovering catholic, unfortunately there’s a lot of Catholic people who will never watch this video because they are in denial about any type of abuse in the catholic faith. My mother never believed me that a priest abused me. She took it to her grave. I wouldn’t ever go back to a catholic church for any reason. Nothing could get me to go back in. I was an altar boy and I was sexually abused, the priest had me move Wine from the Rectory to the Church because that’s where they stored it was in the basement of the rectory where the priest lived, he stopped me on my second trip into the rectory before I got back into the church. I was in the passage way that connected the church to the rectory where the priests lived.
What did he do? I'm confused.

This proves whatever belief(All religions and faiths) There will always be evil people, corrupt, rapists, abusers, drug users, killers.. all evil. I realized, that faith is separate from those who are doing evil. Seeing or experiencing these does not mean I should *convert*. Because, as I said, Evil people are everywhere. I met a lot of priests, Fathers, popes & reverends tbh all liars & corrupt more than anyone else. I saw in the catholic church a former Muslim guy who came to convert to Christianity he also told me that no one helped him to convert he visited all the churches but the protestants didn't refuse but he wanted to be a Catholic Christian so he's still living non-religious life but he's a good guy I know him. I also observed that these are liars behind the back even though many of them are married.

Also, my cousin reacted much the same way when CBS News caught him working at the Shedd Aquarium (where he had access to kids). Like what you did in your reporting, they surprised him while he was at work. I remember the look in his eyes. You can tell he knew that he f---ed up. Also, like Fr. Delft, he doesn't have much to say for himself. He still continues to deny it and gaslight his victims. A family member asked him about the man who died by suicide because of him. He just brushed it off as, "yeah...well...the guy had problems." He took no responsibility for the role he played in it.
