It makes no sense for the Lost MC to be in GTA 5, at the end of TLAD, they’re a small dying MC. Johnny stops talking to Ashley cause she’s a drug addict, then in V, they’re a huge MC and Johnny is back with Ashley all of the sudden. It’s the writers fault because the Angels Of Death should’ve been the MC we kill instead of TLMC in GTA 5.

Not sure if I missed it in the video, but at the end you can call Ashley, and she'll ask you for $20. After which Johnny will say "Not this time, Ash. You can k*ll yourself on your own. Goodbye" Then you can call Angus, and Johnny will tell him that he's finally done with Ashley, and cut her loose in his head. Johnny also states that aside form sending money to Jim's family, he'll try to "Cut his ties", then says what sounds like a final goodbye to Angus, hinting that Johnny is going to stop contacting him, Clay and Terry altogether and truly move on. Making their appearance in GTAV even more nonsensical.

@@JFTSwiertz She was already claiming to go clean in the cutscene before the last mission, Johnny told her to piss off and seemed to have no faith in her. Then after the last phone call, there's no way Johnny would take her back, or even lend her $20. She didn't seme to care about him at all in the last phone call, and Johnny could finally tell.

Tlad is so underrated, it has some of my favorite game mechanics in GTA

@@octanesweat7065 I feel like that was the point. Trevor isn't supposed to be a character we like imo. He's fun for gameplay but in the story he is an unstable asshole.
Lost and Damned is so good, definitely one of my favorite DLC in gaming.
I think it's crazy that some people played GTA IV, loved it, and said "well ok that's it". The DLC came out just a year later, and so many people missed them even to this day. They are crucial to understand a lot of details from Niko's story, and together they form an amazing experience.
I agree but keep in mind the DLC was Xbox Exclusive for a year i still played them when they came to playstation though.

I agree mate, Trevor did Johnny dirty and it made me take a knee. The dlc was OK but oddly enough knowing Johnnys finality it kinda made me like the dlc more

I'm glad you mentioned the GTA V stuff. Whilst, obviously, it serves a narrative purpose to establish Trevor's uh Loud Personality it nevertheless was a kinda of disappointing and grim follow up. Mayhaps if there was single player DLC, they might have filled in some blanks but alas.
Despite me not really like gta IV, I LOVE the DLC’s for this game, they are fantastic expansions.
Yes, I like the Lost and Damned - didn't feel particularly special to me as such but it was very, very enjoyable.

@@octanesweat7065 I found GTA4 to be kind of forgettable. GTA San Andreas is legendary, and GTA 5 is a ton of fun. GTA 4 exists.
I was hoping GTA 5 was going to get single player DLC like this but it just got the shitty online stuff, so let's hope GTA 6 get some single player DLC.
Yeah it's a shame the only other perspective of GTAV's incarnation of Los Santos available outside the main story characters is getting pot-shot by a pre-pubescent on a hover bike.

Billy Gray was an awesome antagonist; J.K. and this DLC ROCKED!
It was such a good dlc to play through at the time like online play was so much fun too do as well as the mode was different to regular online as it was more bike based which was a good twist
I find it funny you used the motorcycle chase through the car shop as your example for checkpoints because when I played this last month that was the same damn mission (and the only one) I died on.

Good video pal. Nice to see more people who care about GTA 4. TBOGT and TLAD are definitely underrated gems. We have to encourage more players to play them. I love TBOGT more than TLAD and I even made a video about that DLC. I assure that TBOGT is even more interesting than TLAD (in my opinion).

Top marks for not including an extra "The" to the title of the game, it really irritates me when KZheadrs do that, so hearing you repeatedly say it correctly was a very nice change of pace. And I watch a lot of GTA IV videos, reviews and retrospectives on account of it being my favourite game and always curious how others find it
There was a game called road rash and in that game you had all sorts of melee weapons to fell other riders, I loved that game

Sick video. Games main story is criminally underrated. I’m pretty sure Billy’s situation when he got out was that it was with parole, and chad or whatever tf his name is is a ordained minister/sponsor given to him by ASCF. His character is so cliche and sarcastic it’s hilarious to me.

The DLC for gta 4 are literally the best DLC ever made it’s so smart and ties into the main story so so well
Maybe the bike gang was originally from South Carolina where helmets are legally optional
I find this dlc pretty fascinating because I see similarities with this and rdr 2, With the gang aspect and it falling apart. I also find Billy and Brain are pretty similar to Dutch and Micah with Brain sucking up to Billy and vice versa. It's a awesome dlc with cool weapons and fun missions. I just wish it developed the characters a bit more and had more missions, I think Jason could have had a few missions to get to know him before he gets killed off. I very much agree with the 5 writing for Johnny and the lost, that was 100 percent rockstars worst writing decision they have ever done. (Even worse then how they handled Ryder in San Andreas)
I love this DLC. Because it feels like the predecessor for John Marston. They share many qualities. Klebitz gets it rough though.
One of the most fun parts of tlad is that when you call for backup on a mission is flips how the mission is played

I remember trying to play this dlc years ago on ps3 but i got stuck on a random level and never finished it 😅
For half of my life I always wanted to play GTA IV but my computer sucked back then. Once I switched to another one, the very first GTA I managed to complete back in maybe 2014 was GTA V so I recently decided to do a marathon completing these games. I just recently completed IV and this DLC yesterday. In general, IV is so fun to play and I love the seriousness compared to V. For this DLC I liked it more than I thought. The beginning was maybe a bit slow but the story got interesting really fast. Next step will be The Ballad of Gay Tony!

the only thing i feel... off, about Lost and Damned is how in the heck did Johnny know how to fly a chopper. He's just a normal biker gang member and somehow he can fly like an Ace Pilot, if he can in gameplay... sure, but if i remember there's one mission where he fly a chopper

I remember playing the Lost and Damned while my brothers preferred the Ballad of Gay Tony. When I first played red dead 2 I compared the Lost and Damned story with the story of red dead 2. I wish Johnny had a better end as I’d compare him to Arthur. 😢

I disagree with what was being told in Johnny's death as being "cheapened" only because it touches on something that you mentioned in the GTA IV video which is it has serious moments and satirical moments. Johnny's death is a serious moment and it's the blend between fiction and reality because people can have moments where they change but they relapse on that change
Unfortunately I never could get into the Lost and Damned, and seeing how the Lost MC went on to play a biggish role in GTAV, I think I should, after seeing this, give it another go
I actually don't find it bad what they did to Johnny in V as it shows how far he had fallen since TLaD and hammered in what an unhinged and straight up volatile person Trevor Philips is
In case you didn't know there's a theory indicating that Johnny is a descendant of John Marston. When you think of it, both have a lot in common with in terms of story and personal appearance even.

Does anyone know how I can play GTA IV and DLC? I only have ps4 and ps5. Iv wanted to replay since like 2015. Surely there’s a way aside from buying a ps3, right?
You can’t play gta iv on ps4 or ps5, but you can play gta iv on xbox one or series x if you have the xbox 360 disc unfortunately
Cheapest way would probably be to find some cloud gaming service and play it through that. downside being potential input lag or just straight up not having good enough internet

Id be able to enjoy it more if it wasnt for the horrible bike riding, eveey time in gta 4 when i was fprced to ride a motorcycle i hated it, still one of my favourite gtas though
You probably didn't have this issue but on pc I didn't realize that if you run the game over 60fps the physics and driving gets pretty out of whack and bikes slip everywhere like they're on blocks of ice. Limited the frames and worked fine
I wish I could've gotten into GTA and red dead back when good DLCs existed. If GTA 5 or RDR2 had DLC it would make my decade. I don't like online for either.
I absolutely loved The Lost and Damned DLC bought GTA for the step-son, but when this dlc was announced, I was like, "Take my money." Pretty sure this was around Sons of Anarchy time..

TBOGT and TLAD were the last 2 story dlcs rockstar created I think, correct me if I'm wrong , but yeah on the premise these were both fantastic dlc,s I actually bought them as a standalone with them both been on the 1 disc without the base game episodes from liberty city was the title for the 360 , yeah absolute shame rockstar changed as a company and put all there eggs into that cash cow they call gta online the ruination of rockstar

Both of these are better than the main game, but TLAD is the best of the two.
I can see the logic - I quite like The Lost and Damned but I feel GTAV significantly cheapened it.

GtaIV was the best narrative and the original 3 character plot. GtaV just recycled the three character entwined story and made it lineal and dumbed down with gimmicks.
