I really miss my life in Leeds, thats where my husband and I met and started our relationship, everytime I saw the pic or videos of Leeds, the memories come back to me...
And still we can't have a proper public transport infrastructure. Old news but we are the biggest city on our continent without one. Sad really how the governments have let my city down for year after year
Leeds is still booming though regardless.

Maybe of the industrial cities but for beautiful cities you have to be looking at York, Bath, Chester, Oxford, Cambridge etc.
Yeah as a Leeds lad we’ve got some great architecture in the city centre, Leeds city market is a architectural gem, however ill be the first to admit some of our housing estates are pretty bad, but name a city without it’s rough areas

@@Ruddyscheeseemporium Are you for real? I hate the place but the city centre is completely unrecognisable from 20 years ago. The Bull Ring, Grand Central, trams, big shiny buildings everywhere. And there are a ton of regeneration projects in the pipeline, and HS2.
@@Mat-eq8mk Idk i don't live there maybe it's just a cliche that keeps getting repeated on the internet about Birmingham being a dump but it's def not on the same level as Manchester when it comes to construction or investment.
In my opinion id say leeds looks far grander than birmingham now, plus the city is seeing some very tall buildings under construction to add the other new talls, leeds has an amazing skyline now
@@easydrive3662Leeds isn’t really that high tbh we have council flat that’s not far of their height. The problem is the council alway telling developers to reduce the height just like springwell gardens 2 was gona be 145m been reduced to 95m that’s just pathetic of the council making it unviable for serious developers like renaker or beetham to even consider a development in leeds so we end up with soviet style looking buildings making leeds look very dystopian

Leeds is the richest city in the North of England with the biggest banking and legal sectors outside London.

Leeds is certainly booming with many new skyscrapers under construction, its not just skyscrapers though the sheer amount of stylish looking office builds constructed and under construction is amazing to see. In my opinion id say leeds and mancs are the 2 most happening cities out of london at present

You have to define what you mean by skyscraper. Call it 100m? I don't know what happening means but Manchester has a lot more people, and a lot more high buildings. Leeds has some fantastic old architecture. The university campus though is horrendous unless you like concrete. I know some people do. I prefer elegant glass and steel.

The scale of development in Leeds at the present time is just staggering; when completed, the South Bank regeneration will have doubled the size of the city. Fabulous quality footage here with terrific soundtrack and great editing. Well done.

damn good sunrise shots buddy! this just popped up in my recommended. i've not shot anything in leeds in ages...really struggle to get up for winter sunrises though lol. what was the highest iso you found you needed for the low light shots on the min 4?
Thanks man! Got lucky with some good weather. I don’t think I went above iso400. Might have gone up to 800 but definitely not any more. I tried filming in night mode, normal and d-log m and found d-log m worked best for me. What do you think/use?
@@airsty that's exactly what i found. 400 was enough for low light shots and 800 for night. 1600 was too noisy and didnt improve the image at all from 800. ye stay away from night mode lol, awful. too much sharpening and iso too high so mushy footage. did you keep shutter down with an nd filter for most of these? i like to use no filter for low light but honestly find during high contrast sunny days or sunsets that trying to keep the x2 shutter rule a bit impractical so i just ball park it and as long as it isnt silly high like 1/200 or more i'm okay with it. do you try to keep the x2 shutter as much as you can or just close as pos?
@denaco I try to keep it close. I think I had an ND16 on for some of the shots. Otherwise usually no ND filter for low light. I had some flickering from lights during low light shots. I think a longer shutter is meant to be better but it’s hard to be accurate all the time
@@airsty thank god you do the same as me mate. a few people have a go at me about it but best to prioritise good exposure i say so if shutter is a little high then so be it. ye flicker i get if high shutter or 30fs...25fps is best for uk with for no flicker. also i really like the teal in these shots. did you add that into the shadows wheel or drop a teal & orange lut on?

Unfortunately I think you may be right. We're becoming a city of the rich and greedy with no room for the poor. London is the last place I'd want Leeds to immitate.

Leeds is looking good but every surrounding town is an absolute dump, harehills, east end park, holbeck, beeston, gipton etc these should be sort after areas
Every city in the world has dump areas... Leeds has plenty of nicer suburbs. Hopefully over time the dumps will improve.
Whats the one similarly with all those dumps you mention.. Immigration for you
If you want to see a proper dump, just try Bradford one of these days.
A one railway no real airport city, nothing compared with Manchester
Leeds railway station is huge tho and the busiest in the North of England, it's a massive advantage that all rail runs to it so the centre doesn't need multiple. Manchester is a great city, but so is Leeds, to say it's nothing compared to Manchester is very wrong.
Leeds city really messed up letting cheap developments in the city the skyline is awful with cheap looking buildings MANCHESTER Is how you build a city with real quality developments like deansgates leeds is just a brick clad eyesore
But we don't want to be Manchester. We like being Leeds 🙂
