Dan Hooker demonstrates his defence against low calf kick, a popular low kick technique as a potent weapon on vulnerable areas of the lower leg. He then shows how to kick someone who uses such a defence check.
A 'regular' leg kick sees the attacker's shin dig into the meat of their opponent's thigh. Professional athletes' upper legs are conditioned to absorb that kind of punishment. The lower calf muscles are small. Dan shows how he executes the low calf kick damaging the lower leg and immobilizes the opponent from the nerves.
