The truth is there are two types of people in the world. Those that are successful and those that aren’t. Many factors contribute to the differences of the two classes of people but one that stands out the most is; mindset. Ever watched those crazy viral videos of monks defying gravity and raising themselves above ground? They use their minds to do the most unbelievable things that have been deemed impossible. The mind is a powerful tool, you can use it to either build or break you. Today we share the differences between the mindsets of poor a poor person and a rich person. Want to find out where you lie? Watch until the end.

  • Lots of good and real points in the video. Unfortunately there was no internet when I was young to tell me that marrying someone who is completely unable to think long term and has no goals in life would sink any possibility of building wealth. If you are young and reading this take notice... doesn’t matter how hard you work or how much money you make, if your partner has a poor mindset he or she will just spend every penny you make. Also if you happen to really love your partner you will neither leave or be able to stop them from doing what makes them happy... sad but true.

  • Yes, I believe there are differences that exist but speaking without taking into account other factors such access to resources, inheritances, connections, nepotism and etc. A lot assumptions about the lives of "poor" people. Rich people being honest and trustworthy so we not going to talk about the lies, bleeding of retirement accounts, moving money to offshore accounts, filing bankruptcy so you don't have to pay people, environmental harm, etc. Not every rich person fits this mold and not ever poor person fits the mold of doing anything for money even criminal activities. Education is key and helping to point people in the right direction is what is needed instead of assumptions.

    • @@mulekickhandmadeguitars8465 Poverty mindset is what you just displayed because there was no blame placed but an understanding of all components at play. However I get it, this is the only response you could have because it's everything that has been spoon fed to you. Don't examine a building for stability without considering looking at the very foundation it stands upon. Checking the windows to see why the building is swaying is beyond silly. Again, thank you I rather the poverty mindset then a limited mindset.

      @ceece4@ceece42 жыл бұрын
    • @@ceece4 I grew up in a level of poverty that was entirely unnecessary, due to the mindset of my parents. That is to say, we were poor, but we certainly didn't have to be. They aren't to blame. They just didn't know any better -- which is also the case for many others. Nothing has been "spoon-fed" to me, my friend. I learned from experience that the common denominator between poverty and prosperity, and success and failure, is a whole series of life choices you make. I merely chose prosperity.

  • How do you break from that poor mentality of overcoming fear, doubt, negative thoughts?....I was raised by an abusive father who would always put me down and would always criticized me for doing things wrong and call me useless and worthless for not doing anything right. As I got older even in my 20's I have been low in confidence and self esteem. And for that reason I can't seem to overcome those thoughts. In my mind I say one thing but my body reacts to those thoughts from the past. I know I'm supposed to let it go and tell myself that it's okay to make mistakes and be a risk taker but even then I'm still not confident and still have low self esteem.

    @felipebarron3479@felipebarron34794 жыл бұрын
    • @Felipe I'm sorry to hear about your past, but don't let it define you. I would suggest you start surrounding yourself with positive thinking. Start journaling, write down positive things about yourself, and where you want to be. Create goals too and start working on them, and read and consume positive content too (Books, podcasts etc)

    • When you dig into your family history you will find the same pattern repeated many generations back. What is done to you, was done to your father and he re-lives the abuse the same way you do but you are still young and can reprogram your mind by listening daily to motivational speakers on youtube. You feed your body the nutrition it needs and when you don't you suffer, same thing happens with your mind so find yourself "mentors" like Tony Robbins, Bob Proctor, Muhammad Ali, The Rock or whomever you relate to and feed that to your mind every day. As an adult you get to decide if you're going to remain a victim of circumstances or if you'll become a survivor.

      @360ODYSY@360ODYSY3 жыл бұрын
    • Wow, I’m the same exact way. And I agree with many things said down below. The family traditions of brainwashing will continue on unless someone is willing to break that chain. As difficult as it is to not become like those influences, we have to really try to not reflect our pain towards others. And never give up on ourselves. No matter how many times we fail and seem like nothing we try ever succeeds. Before we could compete in life, we have to compete with ourselves to overcome our flaws. A lot of the winning and rich mentality seems difficult when not filled with energy to overcome so much pain and defects. However we also have to be realistic and take it day-by-day. As I write this with weight on my shoulders and deep down I feel the low self esteem, let’s try to keep moving forward and working on ourselves. Don’t let those who are winning beside us make us feel insecure. Let’s be an example to others to overcome fears and depressions. We’re all in this together! ✊🏽

  • Our mindset about working for something that’s time bound is so profound that’s it’s hard to stop. This flywheel affect has gained so much momentum over generations that people need to work so hard just to stop thinking this way before they can make any considerable change in their lives.

  • I think I'm fairly strong in point 5 - taking time to make a decision weighing pros and cons. For example, I wanted to buy a laptop computer in 2008. I did initially buy one, but after using it for a few days and finding it unsuitable for my needs, I returned it. I took a year to research just what kind of laptop I could use, returned to the same store I bought the first laptop from and bought a different one more suited for my needs. Plus the wait enabled me to save more money to buy a better laptop:).

    @cyphrinfinity9992@cyphrinfinity99923 жыл бұрын
    • Isn't that a consumer mentality? What if you found alternatives for the features that the first laptop didn't have, and invest the money from the second laptop? I think they meant making decisions to make more money, not so you can spend more money on consumer products 🤔 I guess if those features the second laptop had was essencial to making money then yeah

It's the individual who are able to absorb knowledge, use it to their advantage and create some success as oppose to the one's who are to smart for their own good, critiquing and complaining about good content sharing. That's propaganda, you preventing someone else from learning. If you already have all the answers, then, STFU and allow someone else to learn.

Buying label clothing or unneeded clothing or things won't let you save to do more with your money. Also people need to learn something new no matter their age. An attitude of thankfulness of what we do have helps a person enjoy and appreciate their life as well. But a lot of people don't want to realize these things unfortunately. I grew up poor not by choice and because no guidance from my parents on how to build wealth I made poor choices that kept me in poverty. My grandfather god bless him taught me some fundamentals on saving but not investing.I did do a 401k so I have that but I didn't have the mindset I have today. It took time and pain and suffering to get this way. I am trying to wake people up too so they can build wealth. I haven't build wealth yet but I have long term goals I am working on. There are some wealthy people that got thier wealth from inheritance but most have built it over time. I plan to change mine.

  • 85 years average on earth is a “blink of an eye” compared to eternity in the afterlife. The truly true rich are those who focus on life eternal. Just do right by each other on all the days of your earth life and you’ll be “richer” than anyone can ever imagine. Believe it. And no I’m not poor at all. Early retired. Saved. No debt. Act well. Fear God by following Jesus’ narrow path applying the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Believe.
