In this episode of BlacktipH, I go fishing in Destin, Florida, with the hopes of catching a deep, cold-water fish known as the Snowy Grouper. We began by trolling wahoo lures on the way to the grouper spots. On the way there we got a strike on the lure, and it was a wahoo! After a short fight, Preston gaffed the fish and brought it in the boat. It was a 45-pound Wahoo. We continued to the Snowy Grouper spot, which was deeper in the ocean. Once we arrived, both Preston and I dropped down our baits to the bottom. We were using butterflied Boston mackerel for bait. The bite was instant, Preston and I were both hooked up to Snowy Groupers. Throughout the day, we also caught Champagne Porgys, Yellowedge Grouper, and Golden Tilefish.

It’s called Fishing for a reason. The wait and the battle is part of the experience. Using an electric rod is just catching not fishing.
Awesome fish and such a variety. Are electric reels mainly used in deep water like that? Haven't seen them used but 1 or 2 other times on your channel.
Sam Mccoy yeah electric reels are used when you have an unbelievable amount of line to reel in. I.e deep water or if you’re flat lining 1000+ yards
Guys, this electric reel fishing is causing your videos to lose a lot of the magic that mad a lot of us fall in love with the channel. Your previous vids where you actually fish and fight the fish were a lot more exciting and enjoyable. I just hope this electric reel thing isn't permanent 😔

It's pretty fun in the sense that there is so much you can catch down that deep. Always cool to see what comes up. Though I prefer fighting a fish normally, at that depth it is miserable hand reeling an 8lb weight all day
They’re fishing very deep, so it would be tiering to reel up. That’s why they’re using auto reel.
