This week, Ethan and Jack take a look at Edwin's newest purchase; someone else's half finished project car E36. We'll see if it was a massive mistake and not worth the £1500 price, or if it might turn out to be a great deal on a DIY project car.

the correct repsonse is no
Unless you happen to have a similar car you can pilfer for parts.
Unless you have a KZhead channel, then the content of the video pays for itself!
Alex going his own way and Edwin stepping up is the best thing to happen to this channel
I bought a Volvo 740 off a chap. He’d entirely rewired it to his own random pattern, and then handily resprayed under the bonnet so all the wires were the same metallic silver. The horn was connected to the indicator, it wouldn’t start with the door open, things like that. So that was fun.
When You say fun.... 🤣
🤣
...and you are still here to tell us about it! What a legend! I would have taken some drastic measures!
O
Wow 😂
A triple white E36 saloon would just be 🤤
What's the 3rd white?
@@chazdubh3079 Body, interior, Wheels no?
quadriple actually, if you count the driver
@@krus180 🤣🤣
White is the worst color on any car
i like how it came with its own tools like an Billy bookcase.
The guy who sold it has probably been looking for those tools for a while now 😂😂
He sold the car because he lost them 😂
The tools he left in the car or the ones who bought it?
Car throttle is so much more improved with the addition of the new fella... the new 3 amigos 👍
I'm glad you think so. I'm sure some that watched CT didn't always enjoy Alex's antics. But I can't watch without actively feeling their is a gaping hole in the videos now, and not the good kind of gaping hole either...
@@Albert5522I just feel their budget is to low and nothing really happens in the video. Like hey let’s go out film this wreck for 10min
Also glad that he doesn't try to play a dick on screen lol.
Completely disagree not a fan of Edwin particularly and they seem to have no direction with what they're uploading. Here's a heap. 2 weeks later here's another heap
@@oscarmathia6112 yea feel the same, wasn't sure if that was because I hadn't watched every upload or not. Hard to feel like I'm not bashing but agree the channel doesn't have a clear direction, the viewing is mediocre as a result.
I don't know what couldve made him go "oh yeah, i should buy this" but i sure hope he restores it without losing his mind😂
Specially when the UK is the land of super cheap cars, that go and stop alright
The indicators still work because Edwin is the 1st of 11 owners to use them
I love how Alex has been replaced with literally the tallest person in the UK.
The term 'literally' seems to have lost its true meaning nowadays. 🙄
@@THE-BUNKEN-DRUM You know things are funny when they're exaggerated yes?
@@bunkaaa8726: Debatable.
I would say no 😂 as God knows what damage or bodge job they may have done.
*"Hello, Scrapyard"* 😂😂
Usually these videos turn up on a Friday morning here in Australia so it's a cup of coffee and a great way to start the day. This had me laughing from the very beginning. With the addition of Edwin, they look like they are having fun together ( again ).
Seeing Jack not wearing the trademark turned up jeans and black vans is a treat 🤩
My heart skipped a beat when I saw the number plate had Brooklands on it and thought it could be my mums old E36... however hers was a white, 325i 3 door with a blowing exhaust!
It would be cool to see you finish a project....any project...
In the words of MCM… I have an unfinished sponge cake,.. here’s an egg.
Nice! This bimmer comes with al the spare tools !
There's something quite wholesome seeing Ethan pick up all the random tools and spares and going 'oh WOW!' with his, er, knowledge of cars
Keeping it old school. This is the content we Subs want ❤
i know it's a lot of work, but yes - hands-on mechanic work is _so satisfying_ to watch.
If Edwin’s 8 series is anything to go by, this thing will come up mint. Bloke has taste
“We got some tools……”proceeds to pull out a paint brush, never change Ethan 😂
A paintbrush is a tool for applying paint though...
Nice you see you lot still have the 940. Curious to see if you'll end up doing something more with it at some point.
Effing LOVE they way you started the video, straight into it. None of that "coming up" BS that lesser channels use 😎😎🥳🥳😎😎
I really hope you manage to keep this one alive 😊. It's definitely worth saving. Great video as always lads.
You should do a livestream of all the stuff you do to this, watching all of you swearing, having a laugh repairing it would be amazing to watch 😂😂
I absolutely love these recent videos. I thought the channel would die after Alex left but the videos are better than they ever was
Jack's reaction to Ethan telling him to take the moldy steering wheel off is priceless!
The editing on this is so good!
Do a full restoration. That would be really awesome. Can't wait to see this series
"hello scrapyard" 😂 "MORE TOOLSSS!!" 😲 🤣
loving the direction of car throttle right now! keep it up lads!!
Saw the Volvo I sold you guys in the background! Good to see you guys still have it, still planning on the Arctic trip?
Class lads ! Your videos are banging !
Enjoying the videos on the channel keep up the good work everyone 👍👍👍
That compact looked smart on the black wheels, looking forward to episode 2
good chemistry on this one guys, keep it up!
Edwin has really fitted in nicely. cant wait for them to have their own channel one day ;)
Them? Who do you mean? The three guys? Is this not their own channel?
@@Mr007jamster nope they are just presenters. Car throttle is owned by a different company.
Edwin already worked for CT for years.
My dad has a 328i e36 convertible that hasn’t run in a while. I got it started last year but then had other things to do. This has motivated me to get it back on the road for summer
This is perfect, picked up a 318 touring that’s been swapped with the same m52b25. Mine was similarly ropey but swapped it for a 2004 Citroen dispatch with no mot so I’d say it was a win🤣 keen to see what you do with it! Also I do want that air box
On the plus side, and based on my E36, those bolts and washers you found are for the bumper
1:48 - "Hello? Scrap yard?" _savage._ 😅
I think it’s safe to say, we want to see Jacks car collection! We want to see you strip the compact in a full video, rebuild your new project car and see Jacks SAAB 🤷🏻
“When does something become a restoration project?” “NOW” 😂😂😂😂
Loving the content lads!
Where I live there is a mint mot'd 318 compact for sale that hasn't been sold in a year, for 2k.
Guarantee he'd given the misses an earful for moving that extension 🤣
That’s a proper heap…..good work! 😂
Love to see a series of this getting built up
That parcel shelf blind is proper rare😎
Nice, can't wait to see the finish
Loving your work boys.
'Intake to blow' was said with such confidence
1.500 quid?? The scruffy tools and parts together are worth more than this poor beamer 😂 what an unloved car!
I'm always right proper chuffed whenever I find a free spanner under the bonnet, but you got an extension too, mate, the car is telling you that it wasn't to be fixed properly.
Hey Ethan, Jack and Edwin I hope that you will get that BMW sorted and back on the road again in the next video. PS I would like too see you do another video where you show the fans all off the cars that you own?
Always entertaining, lads.
Car Throttle is back!!
Thats a bit of a bucket but part's wise the money is there. Good luck 😂👍
Jack's witty replies are always so funny
Ed coming in with the Fallout Boy lyrics @ 10:13
I really need a narrow trim piece for the OSF wing. Where is the test pig going exactly?
so much better with these three!
The 924's coming back!!!! Great news!!!
One of my fave cars i owned was a e36 328i manual touring. ❤ Bought the thing for 700 quid in 2013. Wish id never sold it. 😢
Guess you guys just made a new series! Haha. I wanna see the progress
Alex might have jumped ship and gone to the hands of mike Brewer and the big boys but I love this channel more the chemistry between you all is fun keep it going
Jesus, makes me feel bad about selling my good condition E36 323 coupe in Boston green for £1200 a few years ago.
No no no, friend! Those are custom cnc machined speed relief holes! Random? Nope. 😂
Top Job Chaps 🤘
Can’t lie I wanna see more of the E36, especially want to see jack’s infamous E36 .. against the new one maybe even source one for Ethan and turn that into a new project car… what happened to the Z3?
Let’s see some more stuff on the Volvo!
Edwin is brilliant.
U left nice rear springs and the black alloys have like new tyres on guys
We need to see Jack's E36 now
5:17 Lego death sound acquired
This car is literally the gift that keeps on giving.
Seeing the state of my own projects.... No, no you shouldn't 😂
That compact still looks mint, i would drive that every day.
we meed more of jacks saab 93 do a series on restoring it it or put a v6 frrom the aero would be a sick series
Haha great video lads! I would love to save the 940…
Rear roller blind on the Parcel shelf quite Rare
Before you scrap the compact, cut the back end off and create a 5 door drift h/b with the white one
Something about white e36s 😎 keep it pre face nose cone tho !
There comes a time when every car has had its day. But not for £1500🤣🤣
Still loving the content, but these short vids weekly aren't enough!
" have you seen that thing, it's covered in cheese!" 😂
I can't wait to see this look epic love these cars I hope u save this put this back to. Original
Does the MLJ stand for my lovely junker 🤣🤣
I swear I saw this car this evening. Saw the bumper hanging off and thought wtf.. 😂
Once you fix the bodge on the bodge, it will run, into a scapyard.
Avery early E36 with the three mounting bolts on the top of the headlights.
Not gunna lie, I’m invested in seeing this get restored. It could be worse lol
@stanceworks - You still have the wrong steering wheel position. You will go faster if you are not reaching as you are when at close to or nearing 90deg wheel angles. Seriously consider a 10Deg steering shaft angle drop toward your legs and 30mm+ wheel spacer to bring the wheel closer to you. Obviously clearance to your legs needs consideration and the spacer length depends on your arm length and conform levels, but you should still have bend to your arms at 90deg wheel angles especially given the amount of bump steer visible in the videos. For inspiration to wheel positions and rake angles check out some of me professional race cars. Good luck.
Those wheels need to go on my 330i Touring!
This gentleman, is cinema!
Nice vid!
just I thought my E36 318i is rough. this one makes my E36 look immaculate.
We want tot see this project finished
Wow the volvo is still there!
