A compilation made as a token of appreciation for my subscribers.
Originally meant to be a single upload with a duration of 12 hours (youtube's limit) but due to some problems I've been having with youtube I had to split it into 3 parts. Additionally my video encoding and editing skills are weak. I included a video component to make it stand out but kept the quality low due to file size limitations. (it allowed audio to be included in an uncompressed format (ACM)) Consider it an extra and nothing more. Judge the upload by it's audio!

I'm still working with youtube support to get the video online as a whole instead of 3 seperate parts but this won't happen sooner than 2 weeks from now. (Mainly as re-rending is required and it cripples my computer significantly and I'm currently having holidays) Glad you enjoy the video!

Yeah, while some tracks overlap they are independent. It's also worth mentioning that all tracks on this compilation are rendered for this; I did not re-use older re-renders I had laying around. Most, if not all, should have turned out better than the ones in my previous MP3 pack.

At hindsight I was probably a bit too careful with adding tracks that were already in the channel and I couldn't fit in some of my personal favorites anymore. I'm still glad how it turned out though. If I counted correctly 153 of the 281 tracks have not been on the channel before I finished this. In between uploading this and that moment I did upload some though as I was growing impatient with all the uploading issues i've had. (this is a work-around)

This great compilation is holding me as fast as Shades did when I first saw that on the C64, nicely grafted my green haired friend, as for being reclusive, same here to a degree, I love programming and am currently designing a music tracker on PC based loosely on Octamed (as I too totally love chip music) laughing at 25:25 with that bizarre array of 'max-bandwidth chipism'; we are never alone with Chip music, I think the dictionary needs a new word :- retroclusion to facilitate this. 21:25 in I can see what I got into metal, this music can be just as frantic as slayer/nile and more relaxing than panpipes.

I wanted to create a compilation (which was lacking on my channel in any form) that pushed the limits of youtube. I wanted it to contain nice chiptunes (which is ofcourse always somewhat opinion-based) but didn't want to glue together what I already offered so I tried to create a mix of both existing and non-existing tracks to satisfy both old and new visitors.

Trash80... Listened to it right in 2008, when it only came out :D It's their album Icarus. Absulutely outstanding chiptune album. "Sodium Sonet" is my favourite from it. It's even more powerful and deep than "Icarus" composition itself.
