Fun fact: When the Hygroderes (the slime thing) kills you, it dissolves your body but not the suit. If you look closely at the corpse you can actually see that the gloves and other parts are hollow. However this is implied to still have a value of 5 credits, which means that us *employees* are not worth 5 credits, but the *suits* are. We are worth even less than we thought.

So when you see the rumbling and ground shaking, the Worm will actually emerge ahead of you, anticipating you to keep moving in that direction. so pulling a 180 and running as fast as you can the other way, will save your life, as once the worm starts to lead you, it commits to that attack. Also the Worm can devour any monster that it catches, including eyeless Dogs, and even the Forest keeper, and funnily enough if you happen to be caught by a Forest keeper, and a worm emerges underneath the Keeper, it will eat the keeper and forces the keeper to drop you, but you will NOT be Eaten along with the keeper. So if your Lucky, the Giant Graboid could save you from a keeper.
I have tested this, no it does not lead you, it'll just yeet itself from the ground underneath you and it's large enough to swallow you under all conditions except "going fast as fuck" (not carrying shit)

There’s something wholesome about giving a giant bug a piece of trash and it’ll skip away while shouting a gleeful “YIPEEE!” that just makes you briefly forget you’re stuck on an alien moon collecting trash while your employer values you even less than the mass-produced standard-issued suit you are wearing.
Fun fact: the credits for the bodies is actually the cost for the suit. One of the monsters (I forgot which but I think it’s the hydrogere) takes your corpse and only leaves the suit; which still sells for that five. We are worth nothing to the Company.

From my experience with this game: - Flashlights can be an optional thing once you get settled into the routine, they're still practically essential for the gap jumps in the facility tileset, but in the mansion tileset you can do just fine without one; your scanner can get you all the visual info you need! In theory - Generally radios are best used for one-to-one comms, helps keep the line clear for relaying info between teams and/or the terminal operator - Flashbangs _can_ set off landmines! I'd personally suggest using the bang as intended first, the shell is left behind unlike the homemade version and you can use the shell for setting off mines - Inverse teleporters come with an extra caveat that _they have no safeguards,_ you will be dumped just, somewhere without guarantee for safety nor a way to exit (I've been inversed behind a locked door plenty of times); I personally love the thrill but please have someone stay behind or go in normally in the off-chance something goes wrong - (Credit to I think alter ego for making a video noting this) Hoarding bugs will still get pissed if you take what they already "claimed", even if you try to do the funni Indiana Jones thing, but you _can_ get some use out of keeping them alive since they'll be like an extra pair of hands lookin for stuff - I have accidentally clipped someone via collateral with a shotgun blast before in the process of expediting someone's deathwish, like he was a solid 45 degrees from the direction I was facing and I was aiming into the ship wall to AVOID COLLATERAL, we were all laughing about it

What's even better about the proximity chat and feeling alone is the horror movie-level moments you can have. One of the reasons the Bracken is one of the favorite monsters in the game is because you and your buddy can just be going along, you look at him and then turn away for two seconds, you hear a crack, and now you are completely alone because the Bracken just dragged him away and he didn't even get to warn you. Or you go through a door, you hear your friend gasp and then cut off, so you go back into the room and there's just his flashlight and a trail of blood.
I was gonna say the worst is when you're mid conversation and suddenly one of you stops talking
I LOVED a moment where I saw a Bracken about to kill me, running straight at me from the fog, and I scream "OH NO, THAT'S A-" and my brother (who I was playing with) was right next to me in our real life room, so when he heard me go _dead silent_ he freaked out, went downstairs ingame, and just saw a trail of blood leading into the fog. Absolutely bone chilling
The Bracken is absolutely the most terrifying enemy in the game IMHO. It's even creepier when you hear the *snap* and your buddy's voice getting cut off, and you turn around and you actually see him getting dragged away. A lot of this game is scary in the moment, and then you laugh about it in the chat with your friends (this is not a bad thing at all, let me make this clear). But The Bracken is the exception; they are legitimately terrifying enemies, and they're even scarier when you're not the guy it just killed - because even though you don't know when, its going to come for you next.
The bracken is one of my favorites because of the proximity chat. I’m also a fan of the eyeless dogs for a similar reason. Your team can quickly switch from chatting and joking around to dead quiet after hearing a dog growl nearby.

Skinwalkers also just creates hilarious “conversations” depending on how large and chaotic your lobby is and it rules. I play Lethal a lot with my Splatoon team and there was one point where one of us got cornered by a Coilhead, and while he was staring it down he said “damn you’re tall,” and then it responded in my voice “so are extension ladders” (which I had said earlier about things on sale)
The Skinwalker mod constantly makes us turn against eachother because it’s always the damn dogs using our voices.

Had a friend call out on voice, got the response of a (dead) friend saying "it ain't me" (it was a snare flea). The flea then drops down on our buddy's face, begins suffocating, and as the critical damage is inflicted the snare flea said "GOT 'IM." Managed to get it on recording and everyone was in stitches.

I love that over the years, as Badger’s videos get more chaotic and incomprehensible, Badger’s demeanor and tone when talking in the videos has gone down to the point where he sounds like he’s giving a lecture.
I'm glad I ain't the only one that noticed that. His tone and cadence are always one the money now. I know it could be the power of editing, but you can tell he's starting from a strong base. The reason the jingle from the item rocket works so well is actually really cool. The melody is at a higher pitch, which tends to be at least perceived as louder, the lower part can travel farther and through walls better, the percussive clapping allows it to be more attention grabbing, and the synthetic quality gives it an edge that makes it more distinct than most traditional instruments can be in a similar setting.

21:55 just to correct this, they CAN move when you're looking at them they just don't as a sort of sadistic game they're playing with you. If they don't notice you but you can see them they will move.
