  • Now that you're done with your suit, can I have it?😂 I've been wanting to get one for years, but I had to think about it as not being a single purchase and then you use if for life. They continue to evolve and looks like what I envisioned is coming to pass. Soon, all you need would be to record a video and you'd be able to extract perfect motion data from it just like what runway is doing. It should get cheaper and cheaper with better accuracy including facial and everything.

Is this Meta Haman / Unreal engine option able to be used for video content, promo videos, social media reels etc? or is it just for games? I want this made of myself so I can use it for my three online businesses

  • 0:20 yehh right........"you don't need years of knowledge in 3d"...................absolutely right. What you did have exatly the same level of quality in animation, visual, realism ecc ecc that what you show at min 0:14 ............no sorry what you did is even better the movie like avatar or similar , yehh right everyone outside now you know, you don't need study 3d or have experience Is so easy do this kind of things expecialy if you have someone like Noah then help you (someone that seem to studied 3d a bit at the least) 0:30 did you see how far you did? Seriusily did you compared what you did at the senua demo?...........and you still say "you don't need knowledge" Personally i think was much better to say something like "you can now have access to a low cost tech that can help you to archieve a fast rappresentation of your idea".............."but you need study if you want something good" That was a better info, you can't reach that kind of level (senua) just playing whit this tech. (until now ......in bad future may be...who know). Of course is just an opinion ,exactly what a comment section is created for...right?

  • Well, the suit may be optional.. but mocap software that doesn't use a suit is not very good. And with the suit sitting somewhere north of 2k$, mocap animation remains outside the realm of possibility for "almost anyone". That being said, rokoko is the best Damm software/hardware on the market and thier stuff is absolutely worth the money!

  • It's cool for a homegrown cinematic but isn't quite there yet. Considering the large investment in hardware and the limited results, there might be ways more suitable for a small studio or a one man shop. E.g. manual facial rigging in Maya. The environment is great but the facial animation has a long way to go if compared to the original.

    @metternich05@metternich053 ай бұрын
  • Theres definitely some stuff wrong with the metahuman (mostly being the body, i think the face is fine). The animation is also a bit janky and exaggerated in certain areas like the mouth. I still think this is amazing though because with a team of only a few people you could make something that looks less janky n whatnot.

    @dacool_boe4071@dacool_boe40717 ай бұрын
  • I think the only thing that's making yours a bit weird is your rig that you used, It's shaking the camera and we can see it in the final animation.. But otherwise, looks great! You should try one that has less intense speaking and emotions or wtv

    @snyyx@snyyx3 ай бұрын
  • I was expecting a better final result to be honest. It's very very scummy to have a closeup on that face. Your upper lip is twitching like crazy for some reason in the beginning and then the whole had starts twitching. Also the shirt has some very big issues cause first of all doesn't feel like a real one but also at some point you can see the collar part starts to bug out at 6:41. The final result it's a bad and I truly mean bad. Definitely NOT worth the amount of time and the €3,5k you've spent on that. At least that's my personal opinion on it. You are saying that it's a fairly cheap smartsuit if compared to the competition which costs in the order of tens of thousands, but that's obvious since it seems inferior. To compare to suit that used to cost tens of thousands, let me say this: facial expression on closeups and movement of the 1st Avatar looked better than your final result imho. And I know you might say that those were done with a massive budget and all that, but man.. that's from 2009. We're 14 years past that and still you can't argue that this is much better than that level of tech? 14 years of tech improvements should be enough to see some decent progress, and it's not the case. At least with what you've shown. I think the Rokoko tech is probably capable of doing better than this, but maybe it required you to invest more time and effort. As a sponsorship you should have shown the best potential of the product and maybe spend the time to actually improve the final result as much as possible, cause this does not look polished. You didn't make Rokoko's products much of a favor with this video of yours.

When animateing in a 3D space or hell recording irl, stiff non-movements can make your performance look like no care was given. A small swipe with their hands hand a cross of their head could go a long way in makeing it much more lively.
