As a tour bus driver in Hawaii, we called the coconut tree the politician tree, It starts out growing straight, but in the middle it gets a bit crooked, and by the time you get to the end its all nuts, oh, and it always has its palms out.
That’s a good one! First time hearing that. 😂
best comment ever!
@Jonathan Guerrero As a young person you are straight When a person is a politician he becomes crooked and he has his palms out ( his hands ) wanting money 💵💵
O😂
Awesome😁 👍
I'll be praying for you Kelvin. Thanks Robert for caring enough to share that about Kelvin. God bless brother.
Prayers up for Pete, the right hand man. Keep us posted on his progress please.
Rob is just an all around nice guy. I think he is truly anointed in the holy spirit as well because of his genuine feelings for his fellow man/woman. He loves people and truly wants to lift anyone he meets up and include them in what is happening. He has true charisma and that is one of the best compliments anyone can ever pay you. It's a gift. It shows when you have the gift.
I totally agree. ❣️
My 2 year old daughter cannot stop watching your videos she tells me mommy fish 🎣 and I know what she wants to watch
That man who shredded the coconut is a comedian. Imagine all his life only 50 coconuts he shredded? I really laughed aloud with you Rob.. Am 62 and countless coconut had I shredded already if i may brag.
He say 50 hundreds
Many prayers and love to Mr Kelvin. I hope he's getting all the treatment he needs and fighting the good fight. God be with him and protect him.
Robert's energy is miles beyond galaxies,I'm telling you.But I dont know what it is but I dream to have that type energy, and the reason why I like Robert is because he eats ANYTHING out of the bush and ANYTHING from the sea. My brother you are a real islander and your a hell of a man.
I am 57 years old and in NO way would I ever think about climbing a coconut tree. For those who do climb this tree, congrats, your braver than I am.
When that man said more than 50 or 100 coconuts, I couldn’t stop laughing either.
Get well soon kelvin.. Very Useful Information about Coconut..👍 Nice Video..Thank You Robert🙂
Thanks Robert... You gave us a life lesson from the coconut. God bless you and your family.
Whoever did a thumbs down, really doesn’t appreciate the greatness from your videos BIBA MARIANAS!!! BIBA DEER MEAT FOR DINNER!!!!
Always a uplifting message within your posts. Very refreshing, thank you!
There is nothing better than fresh coconut water on a hot day... and then the jelly afterward!
Thank you Robert for sharing our CNMI islandlife to the world!!! In our pacific islands we love our coconuts and the many use of it! It definitely is a tree of life! #saipan #rota #tinian #northernislands #indigenouspeople

You know what.I watched Rob' vids to virtually enjoy his lifestyle ,learning lifehacks about wildlife and ,more importantly, learning STANDARD AMERICAN ENGLISH and his perfect PRONOUNCIATION ,lol.Who else is with me?
Kelvin stay positive. You will be in our prayers.
there is also a meat inside the coconut tree - top part where the fruits and leaves are. It is the same as you swamp cabbage
Known as Coconut tree heart
Much sweeter than the swamp cabbage...
It's called ubod/ubad in our place... And it's gooooood
ya I know, I've cut the heart from a coconut palm before... but I thought that would be going against the theme of the video because when you do that, you kill the tree...
deermeatfordinner ; I agree; the only time you get the heart is when you take down a tree to get coconut lumber - again going back to the topic coco lumber is a vital material for providing shelter. Those ones harvested are the non fruit bearing ones which are 60 , 70 years old.
What's up Rob, years later and still killing it! I'm headed across to Jupiter now to do some spear fishing! Congrats and wishing you continued success! Leading the way for all us other Florida channels!
Hello from Oshkosh. Cant tell you enough how much I love your videos. I just found your channel a couple months ago and have been watching as many videos as I can. Keep up the great work Rob. Couldn't believe it when I found out your wife and I are from the same hometown it makes the connection to your videos so much deeper.
Ive been living around palm trees my whole life. Never have i been told the palm tree has soo many uses. Robert, your vids teach us new things about flora, fauna, cooking, life and just being a better human being. 🙏🏻
great video. when is your friend going to be in San Diego. I live here and would like to help out if I could .
Lmao! Robert, my late husband was from that island. Thank you for sharing this video! It brought back great memories. I now live in Tinian and I miss that place! He was also a fisherman and a hunter. Oh! My mother too was born and raised on that island. By the way, it's " ROTA" not " RHODA." Lol. Stay safe!
Those coconut embryos r amazing!!!🤤 Great find Robert. My kids love it. Coconut palms really are THE TREE OF LIFE! Some many stages of life.
I grew up in Guam and these videos have a special place in my heart. One of the the most common things ive seen in the Mariana islands is periodontal disease and oral cancers, which are commonly caused by chewing betel nut with tobacco. Im currently studying dentistry and I hope I can help catch these oral diseases early to help out our islander community. I hope your friend makes a fast recovery. stay strong friend!!! BIBA GUAHAN!!!!
I live in Guam and I was thinking the same thing, however there are less people chewing betel nut now in Guam.
Rob you haven't even scratched the surface for the use of coconuts.. it has been used to produce and insane amount of products from wine and spring rolls to brooms and oil.
thats why the channel is called deer meat for dinner, not coconut products
@@koltred wow nice reply. deer meat for dinner even though they rarely have deer meat for dinner. the channel name has nothing to do with anything. its just their channel name. way to go
9:40 "More than 50... hundred." He couldn't hold in the laugh 😂
I lost it too😂🤣 I thought he was going to say a couple thousand 😂🤣😂🤣
Two coconuts a year
He said 50 or hundred
He dosent know english

Robert, you are one of the greatest humen bein I have known in KZhead.... But I also busted out laughing when he said 50 coconuts... Lol I still think about it through the day and gives me an smile.... Love your videos.... God bless you, your family and all your friends and all the people that watches you.
First , my prayers for the gentleman with cancer . Great show Rober , fantastic’
Robert was waiting for a crazy number when he ask how many Coconuts that other dude thinks he had shred thruout his life time 💀 🤣
I was waiting for thousand following the 50 or 100 he mentioned 😃
😂 I know huh
The guy has stage 1 cancer and he can stone face still crack up Rob. Says a lot...

I love this series of the CNMI so much. Just build a house and live there, you can tell they love your family so much everyone is so kind. A different world for sure. Thank you for bringing us along. Many blessings 💕
"Be positive, be motivated and be grateful. Words to live by my friends 💪💪💪
I always like your video first and then watch it! You never cease to amaze me and your fans.
Lmao😂😂 “How many coconuts have you shredded in your life” “Oh I’ve been doing this since I was a little kid” “So how many do you think “ “Probably more than 50..100 “ 😂 😂😂😂 I know he done did more ‼️‼️‼️
rob was dying at that lmao
you should look into a moringa tree, they grow here in south florida! they have enough nutrients to live off completely
I like to eat dried moringa seeds with water. The tastiest beverage I ever had. Tastes like Fanta soda
In Trinidad and Tobago that morimga tree helps with the cold
Bro thay moringa is some strong stuff i remember eating like three seeds when i was a kid and started feeling weird and my heart rate went up a bit...since then i havent tried it again...but i might have some in the future.
Moringa or "malungay" is plentiful in Guam and the Philippines as well. I dry the leaves and twigs and drink malungay tea every night for a good night's sleep. It's full of melatonin.
By the way I have a moringa tree in my yard. It is the tree of life. Broth and teas were the only thing I ate and drank when bitten by the chicungunya mosquito. My animals love to eat the branches.
Rob don't forget you can build your own palace with it. Tree of life 🌴🌴🤘
Big Prayers going out to Mr Kelvin Ogo. May you have a successful surgery and we wish you well. Prayers from Texas. 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

I can almost hear the guys fingers screaming everytime he wacks that coconut.
🤣😂🤣😂
The whole time Im screaming for them fingers like I was the one cutting it...lol🤣🤣
Exactly
Yeah I was like dude your fingers...
We do the same thing in the Philippines. That's the way to break into half a coconut. Many people may see this as dangerous, but not for us islanders.
You know hes been on this CNMI trip to long when he says "lania" to mr. Pete.
Bat he knows the island ways par
I felt that I'm in a church and you are a priest :) and I think that sort of lifestyle is amazing because you deal with all aspects of life, good and bad in a peaceful manner and you are always positive and creative, better than rotten coconut :) !!
Another great one from dmfd! Kelvin, you are in my prayers. You will beat the cancer. In Jesus name I pray.
In nature there is no concept of "useless". Those rotting coconuts become part of the life cycle of the soil and the trees. So too in life, we must find ways to redefine our views and find purpose where it might seem there is none.
glad someone said it! that dead coconut will have eventually made the area more lush with life. just like if a person died would make the ones around them stronger. everything and everyone has a purpose whether you see it or not.
Ok going back to listening to what Rob said, "Tree of life - Tree that supports life. The coconuts not used only purpose are to rot away. Use your life for good, go out there and be productive and positive and yield fruit. But if you just have a negative attitude you will just rot into the ground and be useless. Take everyday and be positive, motivated and grateful." While our bodies will feed the soil, the time we spent on this earth, he is saying make it count. Don't sit around and do nothing or be negative, because then you are not yielding good results for yourself or anyone. What you just said about changing your views to find purpose, is the same thing he is saying. But those who don't serve no other purpose then to rot and feed the land, their time is useless. Their body does the same thing poop does, fertilizes the ground.
P.S. That is also in the bible, bear good fruit.
Yeh he chats waffle
You are right Rob, this is definitely a tree of life, Here in Kerala, the coconut tree is called as "Kalpa Vriksham" which essentially means all parts of a Coconut tree is useful some way or other, Some uses are The tree - fire, furniture, piling in soggy lands The leaves - fire, roofs and fences, sticks for broom The flower - toddy and neera from flower spike, the flower itself in ayurvedic medicines The coconut - coconut and its milk in curries, oils The husk - coir, geotextiles, fire, cocopeat, mulching and natural scrubber The shell - fire, spoons, crafts and in meat curry to make it delicious and removing extra salt
Rob your words are so deep and passionate. ❣️ Thanks 🙏
Rob you are the best, bless up an keep doing the hard work to make us happy..

Use the back of the machete when opening a coconut
Really? Why?..safety?
@@dallashall9958 Safety, especially for people who don't have a lot of experience handling a machete. Also lower quality blades may chip or dent from the impact.
@@Dr_V thank you bro
If you’re on a deserted Island without a machete.... how the heck do you open a coconut 🥥 lol 😂
Rock
Use a rock
You can find a sharp rock... it’ll be a little harder to do but that’s what they used back before machete
Simple u crash it with rocks
You improvise
Thanks for sharing all the info about the coconuts. Glad you and the family are enjoying all the adventures. Glory To God. As Always, May God Bless you and yours!

Lifting the man up in prayers for complete healing in Jesus' Name. Very educational.
Thank u dmfd for the encouraging words man. I believe that as human we need to live Right and productive ✌🏾
Hey Rob. In India, coconut trees are the source of life all across the coastal belt, close to the oceans. During our hit Indian summers, coconuts are sold on the streets, and you get to drink the water and eat the flesh inside. The leaves of the coconut tree are also used to build homes or make broom sticks, the husk of the coconut is used in fire stoves and sometimes even as a scrub to clean utensils. The coconut itself is used in cooking, to make oil, etc.
There is nothing that man makes that is in comparison to what God provided us.
True the man made bible is nothing
In indonesia, especially central Java, we call it " Gandos "
the name Coconut milk is SANTEN name Coconut in Indonesia is KELOPO (Javanese)
Rob it’s so awesome and refreshing to hear you recognize the wonders of nature... yes the coconut tree is a gift... a “tree of life” literally! You are indeed privileged to experience this first hand
This has to go down as one of the best channels on KZhead... big fan rob and the deer meat fam. 💯✌
Also.. more people die from Vending Machines falling on them than shark attacks

Bula vinaka Ropate(Rob). In Fiji there's a saying that nothing is as useful as a coconut or coconut tree... from the nut you get food and water, from the shell- bowls, cups and firewood, from the husk - firewood and rope, from the leaves - baskets and shelter, the trunk is also used to make some real expensive furniture and at the top of the tree between the trunk and the leaves, the inner stem is also edible...
Venaka vaka Levu!!! I can’t wait to get back to my friends in Fiji!!!
