Solid TKL Keyboard from HyperX (Aqua switch sound test) #shorts
HyperX Alloy Origins Core TKL keyboard with Aqua mechanical switches is an awesome keyboard for the price. However, there is 1 major flaw that can't be overlooked. Is it a deal breaker? Check it out in this review!!! thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy
This guys reviews are really good. They’re very short and sweet. He’s very underrated and deserves more views and subs.
That means a lot my guy!!
@@CGBuild i agree your shorts have quick reviews in a short time
I do agree his reasons but honestly i don’t really care where the usb goes
luckily he was on my recommended so i subbed
Don’t worry I’ll save you. What type of gun is it
those stabs tho lmao
RattleX For real
The rattttttttttttttttttttttle
I put little bits of cardboard under my stabs to reduce the rattle
They’re not hard to lube at all. It’s annoying they couldn’t do that before hand.
@@shie1dz41
a review that isn't over-hyped what a legend
This guy honestly does some decent and honest reveiws ngl
The stabilizer was the deal breaker for me on this. Other than that, those aqua switches are really really nice feeling and sound on non-stab keys.
That spacebar rattle is insane lol
I have the one with red switches and the sound and feel is an absolute delight. Like nothing I’ve tried before
you probably haven't tried many then lmao
2 years late but I dont care. Ive tried more keyboards than I can count, this HyperX keyboard is fantastic and probably one of the best under 100/150, by far. HyperX Brand Red and Aqua switches have cherry switches beat by a large margin, also, the sound of the keypress against a 100% aluminum casing is very good. If were being honest here, i dont think YOU have tried many keyboards, including this one. Lube the switches, add PBT caps, and its one of the best keyboard under $200 customed on the market still to this day. @@SoapMurderer
I've had this keyboard for about 4 months now and I love it! :D
The stabilizers are dog
@@pureplayz4286 rip
@@pureplayz4286 i put the stabilizer out lol
Jk btw
@@pureplayz4286 i did a bandaid mod
I got the red switch for $77 pretty good for that price
i got the cherry Mx red’s in it and got custom pudding caps, it’s an amazing keyboard for its price. 100% worth it
I got the same keyboard in red switches and its really good besides the stabs If your a gamer and not a huge keyboard enthusiast this board it perfect I love it
mine sounds super hollow
@@stanleychen2584 interesting..
@@andr3w_71 some keys sound like an m1 garand
Bro really good video quality keep it up 8k huh?
You already know
I bought the aqua's and while they're super nice in terms of feeling, I didn't like the tactility in the end and switched them out for red switches in the same keyboard. Great product though
No bump
Him: the best keyboard you can get for less than 100 dollars!! Also him: I give it a 7.5/10 Lol XD
because there are still better ones
Miku c h i q u i t a
there are better ones for more than 100 🤦🤦
@@baguettedoggo9821 i think u did not read properly
I think that's his own opinion, the right side cable doesn't bother me at all and yeah the stabilizers for the space key aren't the best, but it has some features that I needed so in my opinion the keyboard is a 8.5/10
I got this keyboard a while ago. Love everything about it except that over time a few of the key caps become really loose and it’s easy to stain the keycaps. Other than that fantastic keyboard with nice sounds.
I’ve had the alloy FPS rgb and after like 1-2 years of use I have to say please replace the Keycaps my finger basically slides lmao
abs plastic moment
i mean you could make a nice ass custom ciy tester for 50 bucks but aight
I use this keyboard as my daily driver! I really like it compared to the gaming prebuilts I've bought or tried in the past. glad hyperx is known as being pretty solid for a prebuilt. :-)
I have that with red switches its a bit wierd when using it for the first time but when you use it for a bit its amazing
I have the same one and I think it is a really really good one but I do agree that the plug shouldn’t be on right side
Hyperx Alloy Fps Pro is also good, I think that is more quality the prize. Just an awesome keyboard in my opinion
I have been using this keyboard for a while. Other than some keycas being super easy to pop off i have really enjoyed it!
I have this one with red switches it’s crazy for that cheap, great quality as usual from HyperX
Finally someone who didn't get clicky switches
That feeling when stabs on my $55 keyboard is much better than on this hyperx Anyway, the guy (reviewer) is underrated, good luck with more subs and popularity
Just a small dab of vaseline will fix the stabs🤷
@@socas_nic If stabs are bad, you cant fix them with lube. I had horrible stabs on gk61 and I couldn't fix it, so I just bought everglide pandas.
@@TheBeleon I added grease to the stabs of a chepo membrane keyboard and they sound and work brilliantly.
@@socas_nic maybe stabs were not that bad as my gk stabs
ok good for you dude
>No upper case (= louder) >Bad stabs >Best keyboard xd
Wait who?
in my opinion there are other better options for a 76% or tkl keyboard such as the yunzii yz75 because the keyboard sounds good and switches come with some lube and the stabs are good. aswell as the good rgb and it is from a small company that is not catorized as "cheap gamer stuff"
I have this keyboard its really good and im happy with it my only problem is the spacebar just sounds awful
Yeah, same. But let's be real. If you start a game, put your headset on its not going to bother you.
True
@@Atomicul sir, you know its not just about the soudn right? Its about the feel too
@@Atomicul you can easily make them lil better by adding some band-aid in the place the stabs are in. If it doesn’t help much then u can either lube them or swap them with something like Durock v2
@@dzunglatherikkasimp but don’t you need to remove the stabs to do the bandaid mod?
What you really need to know is is the pcb hot swap so u don't have to solder to lube stabilizers and switches
Greate review
I dont think people understand the idea behind a right side USB port. It was made with coiled keyboard cables in mind. The coiled cable go to one side, so you plug your coiled cable it, have the coil going towards the left, then your cables trail will be coming from the top left. Its almost impossible to use a left sided usb port with a coiled cable and still have the cable trailing from the left side. I dont understand how so many people overlook this.
this really is an absolutely amazing keyboard i used to own one of these
You should do a video of you lubing the switches and lube and clip the stabilizers.
Crazy how our computers in school used these type of keyboards back in the 90's and we're considered "cheap and outdated" in the 2000's. Now they've rolled back and can be hella expensive lol.
Insane keyboard 👍
This keyboard is definitely one of the best bang for bucks.. Unfortunately mine came with a few faulty switches so I went back to Razer, but the build / (with) working switches i could already see it wouldve been amazing.
this kids act like they listen their keyboard's sounds all day
Really durable keyboard, I got it with the red switches and its pretty good. Only problems I have are that the case is REALLY tight and hard to open, so you cant really mod or desolder, and the keycaps are pretty bad for a keyboard of that price. I've found that lubing and bandaid modding the stabs significantly helps with the sound, still sounds hollow though
I just bought this keyboard a couple days ago. It’s actually really nice, and the RGB lights on it are really nice but I agree on the USB type C part, I’m not used to that
The stabs are crazy
Im a keyboard enthusiest but does anyone else think that most of these switches sound the same unless they are lubed or they are holy pandas
Pretty much. Maybe the browns too
The only prebuilt keyboards I even bother buying nowadays are the ones I can customize myself.
For around the same price, you can get a GMMK TKL that actually has hot-swap. Which means you can swap the switches to a different kind over time which is useful if you're planning on upgrading the keyboard.
@UnknownPlayer I had the same issue buying my first mechanical keyboard and they had this hyperx keyboard and gmmk. I was going to get the hyperx keyboard since I know the brand and gmmk sounded foreign to me. Thank god I bought the gmmk over the hyperx.
The switches look pretty cool
I actually recently got this board - i think the build quality is great, and i subbed the caps for double shot pbs ones i got off amazon. That said the only thing that really bugs me is the stabilizers on the enter key and such. Apart from that amazing keyboard for the price tag
Great review! Do you think you could try to mod it to make it sound better sometime? That would be awesome
Blue switches on this keyboard make it 10/10 ez
Blues are Bad man.
@@nadineterbahl1459 u didnt got the joke
Royal Kludge: “Hold my beer”
Akko: hold my vodka
@@glowxr Akko is good but the base a dust collector and I’m pretty sure their keyboards aren’t hot swap able?? Correct me if I’m wrong.
@@unyke no. They are hot swappable. Like the akko 3068b plus, which is really the best keyboard under 100$. Stabs, switches, keycaps. All of it

ciy tester68 :
I have a hyperx alloy origins core with the red switches and its amazing
i just got the keyboard yesterday i switched from the huntsman mini and i def enjoy this one more
I have the cherry mx red version, and I definitely recommend.
My favorite is the sk61 gateron yellow switches, I would recommend it
it will be cool if add the mouse pulsefire haste to the box
to be honest it sounds better in real life then in video
HyperX red gang
Had it as well as the 60% version but switched to the g915
This is probably the best keyboard under 100$ for me the main selling point are this switches they sound amazing, the stabs could be better but at that price the stabs are a minor con defo gonna pick one up
All this really need is lube and O rings, the keycaps or stabs or even switches are fine
No.
O rings fucking suck and so do the stabs on this keyboard.
Bro the stabs are horrible and o rings are bad
What stabs does it have?
Right when I heard hyperX I was like OMG man
Yesss i have this keyboard and its the best i have every used. 0 complaints best ever
So is it the switches that causes that sound or the keycaps hitting the bottom
Just got one with HyperRED... the build quality and click feels are better in my opinion than my last keyboard which is steelseries apex pro tkl
I can never convince myself to get a keyboard where the outside of the frame is shorter than the switches. I hate being able to see the bottom of the key caps
Finally a decent review, not giving it too much or not enough credit
I have the hyperx alloy FPS pro with razer keycaps and an artisan keycap
I have had this keyboard for over 1year and it is a 10/10 the only thing I don’t like is the key caps
I have this exact keyboard and the tactile aquas that he’s using in the video, I don’t know why but the top buttons sound really good for some reason
I think that the royal kluge is better with a little modding but other then that good vid keep it up 👍
I got this keyboard that had the wire fully connected and look the same and sound is well with led lights
My friend just got this and it’s really good
Sucks that the cable plug is far at the right instead of the left
OMG the rattle on that spacebar.
How does It feel? Is It actually tactile?.. Or just MX Brown recolor
Bro the fucking stabs 😂
i personally use the same keyboard but with res switches and oh my it has done wonders with newer keycaps, very very decent keyboard but if u buy this board, look into getting keycaps
The more you use it, the less resistance there is on the keys and becomes easier to type on!
Sounds exactly like my HP keyboard lmao
I got that but with red switches im going for a whole black and red setup aesthetic build
Review the womier k87, its $90 or $80 depending on the switches you choose but i bought mine and i love it, might be better than this
HyperX keyboards are perfectly fine, but do they offer a customizable key and switches?
Hyperx origin core are one of the best keyboard I've had and I payed 70$ for it on sale. Their own red switches feels so much better than Mx red for example
That’s the exact keyboard I have!!!! Best keyboard ever
Me with 50 dollar budget: *I need this*
I think best mechanical tkl keyboard under 💯 is huntsman te ( if u like Razer opticals )
"I don't know the exact length but it's pretty long" - Thats what she said
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessshhhhh
LMAOOO
My keyboard with brown switches sound literally identical to that
Makes sense.. these are equivalent to browns
On the 60% one the usb port is on the left side btw
It’s actually like that because the surgeon came out of here earlier and everyone can clean about it
I'd get a Keychron C1 which is $45 base but up to $65 for hot swappability and RGB
I got this keybord in 60% with red switch and it s amazing
Yeah I love that keyboard
I've been using it for about 9 months and some keys has stopped working I have to press and hold them for them to work
Try a Xian-p KT87 for size, or dareu a87 v2- it'll set things into perspective Vs these gaming keyboards while still being a pre-built under $100
In india there is a brand known as Cosmic Byte, I know its not international but they offer TKL in $32 with customizable RGB and Otemu red switches Man I wish they grow international
I have used it for 3 years but some buttons become lag and no response😢 so I am going to buy cherry mx3.0s tkl I think it will be fine
I have the same keyboard: Hyperx Alloy Origin Core but I have the red switches.
Amazing keyboard
the stabs 💀
Next: best mech TKL keyboard under $20 Only if possible
Custom keyboards:welp ima 👻
Epomaker th80 Gateron pro switches ( I say black or yellow ) /sound dampening / pre lubed / knob / pbt / rgb / no software needed / wireless 2.4,bt, or usbc on the left / hot swap . Although I understand out of the popular branded keyboard this could be a decent board w band aid mod maybe.
Cool stuff
i have this keyboard and i like it a lot one problem is the d key sticks in for like .2 to .5 of a second and it's annoying cause i can't remove keys
I wish there was a 60% version
