Nestled on the fringes of a quaint fisherman's village in France stands a distinctive structure, unlike any other in the vicinity - a magnificent villa steeped in history. Constructed in the late 18th century, this architectural gem was the creation of a renowned French architect.
This remarkable villa, with exotic oriental influences, once belonged to the esteemed painter Jean-Paul Laurens in the 19th century. Legend has it that a famous French writer also called it home, a fact immortalized in one of their novels.
Despite its storied past, this much-debated property now languishes in abandonment, available for a mere half-million dollars. Surprisingly, no suitable buyer has been found thus far.
Today, we embark on a journey to explore this historical wonder, standing awestruck by its unique design and the tales of illustrious figures who once left their mark upon its walls.

  • The Masks on the wall @11:37 are from Africa- the large Helmet mask on the sideboard looks like Kuba Peoples from the Congo, the one the right above, which can be seen in glimpses, with the now darkened strips of copper on the face and basketry like balls on the top, and hanging from chin, is SalamPasu Peoples, also from the Congo (now Democratic Peoples of Congo), as well as the one to the left- hard to see but I think the same mask. The Goat skin over metal wire with Henna? decoration is a Lamp on floor @15:08, and is from Morocco at the left end of sideboard. I think this place has a very Moroccan design, and is fabulous! I wish I had the money to buy and fix it up! It's so awesome! Thank you for sharing guys, as always- much appreciated! Edited for spelling

  • I loved the outside and the room with the gorgeous dome. The modern kitchen was very nice. I don't care for the dark burgundy with pale gold color on the walls, then the door on the other side being light blue framed in with white. To each their own style.❤ I hope someone restores this beauty. You 2 be safe!

  • Hello hello!! ❤🤴❤🤴 Nothing's better than a cute and simple Arabic style explore with both of you!!! Good choice of the music in the intro ☺️ and loved your narration as well. I really like the architecture of this house 😍 From the outside, it is really special. As you said, that one special room made the explore worth it and was the gem of it 😍 A really unique and gorgeous room. As Remon said, i would love the see how it was back in the days when everything was perfect, just to see the real beauty, the Arab family all hanging out together, with that fountain running. I wish they never gave up on fixing it, it would be nice to see it renovated and in a good state. Sucks to see that amazing room rotting away. But at least mother nature is doing its amazing job in that fire place room 😍 This guys in nothing! I Bet you would like to see more about our arabic style homes and culture. There is way more beautiful things to find in arab homes! I hope one day you will find a gem more worthy than this one! Overall, it was amazing and i enjoyed it. Thanks for taking us with you! See you next time. Bye, and much love from your best Arab fan 😌❤🇱🇧💚😘😘😘

  • What a fantastic find! It was mesmerizing, not what I would expect to see in France at all. Thank you for showing it to us. I did miss seeing bedrooms and upper floors. They must have been very damaged. Perhaps someone will restore this beauty some day. I look forward to your next adventure. Keep up the good work!

  • What a magnificent little place. Too bad no one came back to work on it. But 2 things I noticed. Almost didn't recognize Remon with the longer hair. So use to both of you with the really short style. You still look good just different. Also even though we hear Maureno we never see him. That is very unusual. And short is good if you have something special to show. Ready for next episode.

  • Hey hey, dear Maureno, that's really quite an exotic style mansion! When watching your video I had the impression of looking at interior designs, and also considering the few items and furniture, of Moroccon influence. Of course I also loved seeing that wonderful main room with the beautiful coupole with the colourful decoration. Absolutely amazing to see! - On the other hand it was so irritating to see a lot of rooms being messed up. Also very heavy decay traces were everywhere visible. I also wonder, if they tried to renovate the place, but eventually stopped and just left everything behind. - Another issue that puzzled me, was the fact, that I actually could not identify anything as really old or even antique. The building itself might have really been constructed in that fancy moroccon style somewhere in the mid to late 19.th century after my opinion and after listening to your wonderfully formulated introduction about the history of that location. However a very fascinating explore, you were doing together with Remon! - Thank you for sharing, bro! Wishing you all the best, many more great explores, peace and kindest regards from now again quite sunny Switzerland.

  • Did you say it was built in the 18th Century in the intro? Later you say it was built in the late 1800's, which would make it having been built in the 19th Century. Perhaps the original builder was a diplomat or someone like that to France. You can tell by the geometric designs and decorations and no pictures or murals of humans that whoever designed this was Moslem because very religious Moslems decorate only with geometric design. I think it is a sin to depict a relative or known person or portraits on their walls. Great video.
