Take an epic musical journey through the land of Hyrule with the Hero of Time! This medley is my tribute to the wonderful music and the spirit of adventure embodied in the Legend of Zelda series. The arrangement features some of my favorite melodies from “Ocarina of Time” performed on one of my own hand made ocarinas (which you can purchase through my website www.SpencerOcarina.com ). The music video was shot in many beautiful locations, each one inspired by the iconic places Link explores on his quest. In order to make the world feel as realistic and authentic as possible, I decided to only use actual locations instead of relying on green screen or CGI models. From the Temple of Time to Hyrule Castle, from Gerudo Valley to the Kakariko Windmill, every place actually exists. This certainly brought an extra level of complexity to an already challenging project, but I felt a proper tribute to such a spectacular series deserved the extra effort. I hope you enjoy this music video as much as we did creating it!

I need to know. I need to know why TF KZhead didn’t recommend this to me all these years?? I’ve listened to countless OoT covers in the past 10 years, but why did I only see this today!! The production is insane! Can’t imagine how much effort you put into making this video. Insane!
Yt all go rythm is for IQ under 60.
So... Link does exist. Now we need a whole series.
Thanks for the love. :)
I thought the same thing XD
It would be magical.
Yeah, like a whole 'Legend of Link' remake (a old 2011 23-25 episodes series which is pretty awesome)
That would be a long series because of the 3 timelines
The level of musicality, attention to detail, production quality, and love poured into this video is 11/10. Well done, man.

Whew… I know. Every bit of this was so well done.
I love that you actually took the time to find a tree that has a face. And a horse in the right colors. And a windmill. IN THE RAIN. This was epic. And the music was beautiful.
Maaaaaaybe the tree was a bit CGI. And the rain a filter... but maybe he did really find a castle that looks like Hyrule town... 😬🤷♂️✌🏻 Either way... this is a masterpiece!!
And not to mention he traveled to a facking desert to shoot some scenes xD Maybe edited?
@@Nemasl I think they could carve a tree. Or maybe just wait for rain to come and then start recording, though I agree, this is a masterpiece!
@@Nemasl can't say anything about the desert nor the tree, but the rain on the windmill was real, there is a comment somewhere here explaining it.

Been playing Breath of the Wild for some time now. I love it. Can’t play it enough. But Ocarina of Time has such a special place in my heart that BOTW can never touch. Ocarina of Time will be remembered a hundred years from now.
There's a reason why some people consider it the best game of all time. BotW treaded new ground, which is commendable, but it's not as great as OoT in my opinion. TotK was an improvement, though; so maybe someday we'll see them perfect the open world Zelda formula.

@Lyon it's because link is left-handed in ocarina of time
Actually, link is left handed. Always. Except in like 3 games
Most " casual fans" who produce content wouldn't notice/care about left handed link. Well done I agree.

I was fortunate enough to be around when OOT was originally released and play it at a time when no one else was doing anything like it! It floored me, to put it mildly. It was engaging, adventurous, infectious, and endlessly endearing. It’s always held a special place in my memory. With that I’d like to thank the producers of this video. All these years later, you managed to bring me right back to that experience! Well done! You guys should be on the consulting staff for the “impending” upcoming movie. 🙏
Well I mean, who hasn’t played OOT if they played anything on the N64
Could the creators of the game even imagine back in '86 that they will inspire and touch so many souls
Honestly probably had no idea, at least not to the magnitude that it did
And this is why Nintendo is the best, despite their flaws and the Nintendoomed memes, THEIR franchises from the old ARE AND WILL ALWAYS be the most beloved ones.

Shed a tear and got goosebumps watching the vid, this is how we imagined zelda in real life when we were kids. So much attention to the details was put in this video, 1. Simple but needed, playing the kokiri forest song in a forest with lots of trees. 4. That giant deku tree! 4. Filming in a real hyrule like castle?! Even thought it was CGI at first. 5. Filming in the desert? so cool! a treasure chest? 10x cool! that map, 100x cool! 6. Bolero of fire with a volcano like set? nice. 7. Sheik playing the harp too? insane! awesome! 7. And that fairy ocarina, the flower, looking up like trying to search for someone, and the look of nostalgia remembering saria :( 11. That princess zelda and her clothes look spot on. 12. A windmill for song of storms, nice bro! 13. That 4:40 change to raining weather: master mind! and even sound effects with bigger drums and thunders, so F.... Awesome! my favorite part of the video 14. Playing serenade of water near a waterfall and a river: spot on 15. You even got an Epona! 16. And a clash of swords with Ganondorf?! you rock! 17. And finally, end it the same way as the game with the master sword resting in the temple of time

Hell I'm still trying to learn a few songs on my 6-holed Ocarina ,,,I wish the SyFy channel looked as good as your production value ,but most of SyFy's movies look like crapp ,,💩💩💩
He probably loves you even more now lol
@@cardboard_hat it was his mistake to sit next to me while I was playing BOTW and mention that he's played it 🤷♀️ but he's dealt with my Zelda-based ramblings for this long, so I guess he likes them
He doesn’t just play the ocarina well, he looks good while doing it.
Thanks for hiding everyone's freaky, messed-up shit online, dude. We really appreciate it.
The Art Van what I said was intended to be a compliment to the person who made the video. I don’t see how it’s mean?
Incognito I think that The Art Van was talking to the person above them. Not you
The Art Van it’s fine
Who is this guy playing this name.?
This was so unbelievably awesome! I loved every bit of this. makes me remember all the good times playing OoT
Amazing job, dude. Picked the right location, and the medley is beautiful. You're incredibly talented. Keep it up!
That was the most epic thing I think I’ve ever seen.
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
The worst part is when the video ends
@@juanjawn7192 we can always replay it on KZhead
I know. This guys super amazing
the orchestration is on point! You got the all the major resolutions and picardy thirds in there, sand very nice use of voicings on the strings. And of course the ocarina playing was dope
This is by far the best thing I’ve ever seen on KZhead!!!!! You deserve an award!!!
The amount of emotion this drew from me is insane. I'm in awe. This video, will become as legendary as this game has. The part that breaks my heart is the younger generation will never know the type of joy this game brought us. I agree, I didn't want this video to end. If there's ever a movie to be made, it should be by you and only you. I would buy tickets for the premier for everyone I know on God.
I'm so grateful that my mom saved the original games for me 😁 it was a beautiful experience
Although my son can’t experience the “same” joy, I promise younger generations are still loving it! My son is 5, loves The Legend of Zelda games and is currently taking ocarina lessons!
this is unbelievable. THIS is what I want to see in a VGM medley--incredible work mane
Thanks for the kind words, David! Glad you enjoyed it. :D
This is magnificent, from the costume, to the setting, and ESPECIALLY the ocarina technique!
Man, this really brings me back to the really early days of YT… except with a crazy, giant production. I’m shocked with how great this is
This is some next level wizardry. Can't even begin to imagine how much work must've gone into this, and the amount of professionalism is just astounding. It deserves a million likes instead of what it's got now.
This legit gave me chills, brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. It truly captures the Zelda magic, like a gorgeous fairytale from childhood, filled with so much imagination that I fear to lose as I'm growing older. Truly perfect job, Spencer!
Wow, thank you for sharing your experience. This is what it's all about! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
I know this was beautiful..made me feel like a kid again. Thank you
This video is an incredible piece of work. Really amazing. I can’t believe that Nintendo higher ups have seen this and not decided to make a Zelda live action series. Northern Ireland would make the perfect base location for Hyrule.
Right??
I remember back when Ocarina of Time actually made me want to learn the ocarina for real... Absolutely beautiful work with both the music and production on this video! I'll forever love the Zelda series 💖
Incredible work everyone! All next level! I'm the biggest Zelda fan so everything in this blew my mind, and I still find it hard to believe these are all real locations! Awesome job!! So good!
Thanks for the love, Devin! Your approval means a lot. :D The locations were definitely real, and I know you know what kind of effort goes into finding cool spots for filming! Thanks for all the entertainment and inspiration over the years, my friend.
well made, but no credits to, and for the locations? @@SpencerOcarina
This was recommended to me by a friend, and I don't understand how it didn't blow up bigger than it did. It really is a masterpiece and the amount detail in both the music and video is remarkable. I'll be sharing this to everyone I know.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate the share!
Spencer thank you for making this. It looked totally amazing and the fun you had making it. You're seriously cool.
I love how Zelda fans can create such as an incredible things like this one 🍃⚔
I'm mad he didn't raise the map up high in the air after taking it out of the chest 😂
lol.
lol
Right!?!?
😂🎮Yeees!
I honestly don't know which one blew me away the most: the audio or the visuals But I know that this is amazing and that there is a lot of work, love and passion behind it
This was absolutely wonderful. I don't what how else to say how amazed I am at this other than to say that this is top tier cinamitic creation
