my goal is to launch my blog and post 195 blogpost before the year is over!
I want to officially launch The Slow Lazy Adventurer (for introverted slow travelers & women with ADHD) by January 1 & complete your courses by mid-February. I live in China and we are letting COVID go crazy so I am teaching from home right now and so grateful for the chance to work more on these side hustles! I hope to monetize it by July and have also started a professional personal site (Abby Adventures) for my English courses for adult ELLs and new teachers! Busy but that’s how I like it 😆

I love your videos. And I LOVE the fact that you don't have ANY music in the background of your videos at all. You don't understand how revolutionary that is. So many KZheadrs have background music while they're talking and it makes it hard to focus on what they're saying. I'm not stupid. I know how to play my own instrumental music whilst I'm watching your video, if I want to. But mostly I actually don't want to listen to any background music whilst I'm listening to what you're saying. And you give us that choice. So important.
I started my blog last year and have been dragging my feet on getting it up and running. I recently saw an article about your house flip and had no idea that you were in my area. I’m motivated again to get it going! Thanks for lighting a fire in me again.
I had been building my blog for 1 year theny computer decided to die, which held me back so much thankfully I was done building the blog but was creating my newsletter and setting up the framework for my Pinterest. For over a year I've been watching all Sofia's video and they are extremely helpful! I bought a new computer and I'm back at it again going to launch in a few days.
I set up my domain and blog name over 2 years ago and haven't done anything on it ever since; when I first got introduced by a friend to your first KZhead video on starting a blog. yay!! i started my blog in 2020 but never really nurtured it, I got ur courses in November. My goal rn is to get 50,000/mo views by June by doing 2x good seo’ed posts a week and doing ur pintrist strategy. I have no idea how realistic that is.. but it’s better for me to set stretch goals 🎉

Thanks Sophia for your Video about your Blog. I've been working on two blogs myself over the years, one personal and the other for a voluntary groups I worked with for a number of years. The latter, so I thought, was particularly successful at getting out our message. As a result we managed to get international coverage of our message about labour relations. Unfortunately we closed back in 2014 due to circumstances beyond our control. My personal blog is still active though not as much as I'd wish. Hopefully listening to your talk will cause me to my blog from the doldrums. Thanks again Sophia and may God Bless your work.

Yay so I just watched your new video you dropped this week on your 23% sale of your course and I bought the blogging and Pinterest Bundle and it save me 51. Some dollars girly, thank you thank you thank you. I am soooooo excited as I got my blog back as bluehost had a glitch I guess like in Oct and had to call 5 times and just got it back 2 days before Christmas and I am sooooo happy but I am also thankful because my entire blog was reset so I am starting over and what better timing in my eyes than now since I am going to do your course first while I’m building my new blog as my last blog I could not figure it out and all since my last stroke which is now my 3rd stroke in 3 years so I have a memory and I get block brain I call it because I get so confused and I’m always trying to work either 3times harder to remember or get it right or I have to take courses so I understand better as I feel like a game with glitch issues. Lol. Nah it’s alright I have figured it out on how I can live a average humble life and I want to blog because I am a disabled stay at home mama and my blog gives me a sense of motivation and fulfillment in life and I suffer from seasonal depression too so this is something I can focus on when I am, having a hard day and need to take my focus off my adhd ocd brain and just build my blog that is giving me happiness snd fulfillment. Since you started KZhead I have been subscribed since day 1 of your start date. I appreciate your videos more tha. I could ever explain. You have helped me now build something of my own that isn’t something geared toward my disability or controlled by it, I control this and that’s what makes me feel like yessss I am going far and I’m also a mama of 2 teens 12 & 14 years old so busy there too with sports and school stuff plus my kiddos both have mental health things too plus they both have adhd but my 12 years old son has it realllllllly bad the worst I’ve ever seen and both my sons have Tourette’s Syndrome and my 14 year old son has moderate schizophrenia so we’ve had quite a bit of struggles with that and have finally gotten it under control and they both have severe anxiety and depression plus my 12 year has mild to moderate OCD and my 14 year just very very mild OCD. So with allllll of that going on with me and my little family plus me and my hubby have been together since high school and now married since 2007 so like 15 years we’ve been married at 20 years together I’m total which isn’t really heard of in todays world as everyone hears about Kim K and how she says Marriage doesn’t have to be longer than 72 hours or more than 2 like years but I am old school and believe my husband is my true soul mate and he feels the same and he always says as I always worry my health issues which is a lot to handle a lot of the time but like my hubs says we took vows and I meant when I said tell death do us part in sickness and I’m health and see that’s why my husband is the true half of my soul. The day I met my husband at work on my first day I remember that day like it was yesterday gal and btw congratulations on your upcoming wedding and trust me it feels so much better and different when you get married and by that I mean you’ll feel safe and complete. Best of wishes for your wedding and life together and hopefully one day some kiddos and btw don’t let family tell you when to have them babies that happened to us and now they never even come over to see them but doesn’t matter because having our kiddos was the BEST MOST AMAZING DECISION WE EVER MADE TOGETHER AS A FAMILY MEANING ME AND MY HUSBAND. you're experiencing a problem with the focus because the autofocus locks onto your hand sometimes. You can change the settings and set up the focus manually pre-recording (which works great for situations like this, when you're sitting down), or be a little bit careful about how close you put your hands to the camera when speaking. I'll end up quiting because I dont want my work to be dictated by what google says. Thats just me. A few months ago I wrote about 50 posts and google said it was duplicate content (its not, its unique content, but there are only so many ways to say what a drum is - hundreds have gone before me already). So it kinda goes without saying that they wont rank me very high. They turned me down for adsense for this reason. I refuse to mess everything up to be obedient to them. But like i said, thats just me. I dont know where to go from there. I will try a few courses to try different approaches but like I said, you ccn only call something a drum or teach a guitar scale one or more ways before it gets flagged by the devils of misschief, google.

Loved the video! Only thing that made me cringe was the blue host recommendation. I hosted with them for 10 years and by then had invested so much only to find out they offer no security on your data and my website was destroyed by malware within a few weeks. My business suffered greatly with no client access and I had to start over with a new host. I cried so bad!

Please can anyone explain why Wordpress is better than Wix? I love my Wix set up and don’t like how Wordpress operates. I’ve read up the pros and cons online but I can’t find a good enough reason to switch other than ‘all the bloggers end up doing it’. I’m going to start blogging seriously again but don’t want to get caught up in little design features instead of what is important.
I have this same question except I like Squarespace even better than Wix. When I used Wordpress, I found it very annoying with so many options and plug-ins and stuff can go wrong...and I was so proud I taught myself design coding yet then realized it all looked wrong on some devices and was a mess.
