Her accent is just different from the accent of a native English speaker. That means she pronounces the words differently from how a Native English speaker would. An accent is just a way of pronouncing words. Accents should not determine if you speak broken English or not. The only time a person speaks broken English is when that person makes grammar errors no matter what accent that person has. But I do understand if you don’t like her accent. Some people like it. Others do not. It’s just a matter of preference as it is with the British accent.

Hey... making fun of accents is a way for different cultures to bond and assimilate. I'm a Scotsman born and bred and my schoolmates and my colleagues made fun of my 'posh' accent! It was and is all in good fun and a celebration of difference. As for sexual harassment - I'm as against that as the next man, and probably more so. But the dance of sexuality is a two-person event. As some clever-clogs worked out, an action is always met with an equal and opposite reaction. If a certain amount of sexual energy is released, it is met with a corresponding reaction. There are ways and means for an individual to reduce the 'action' that provokes the 'reaction' if they should so desire. So, I think Sofia has had a pretty good time of it, all things considered.

I'm from the Philippines and English is also my second language. I actually find Sofia's accent clearer than most Americans. The words, especially the vowels are clear. Americans on the other hand, tend to talk quite fast, and some syllables get omitted, like I have to be more attentive coz I might mishear words.

It was and is all in good fun and a celebration of difference. As for sexual harassment - I'm as against that as the next man, and probably more so. But the dance of sexuality is a two-person event. As some clever-clogs worked out, an action is always met with an equal and opposite reaction. If a certain amount of sexual energy is released, it is met with a corresponding reaction.
