This set 43242 is an adult Disney fan's dream 😍. My only sadness is that it doesn't come with minidolls but I'll just swap mine in. The seven dwarves look a little weirdy without their huge noses but their hats are cute so I'll let it pass. We have the evil queen in crone form and the prince as well. Every step of this Lego build is filled with charm and whimsy, now, on to the coffin for the next stage of the story!
If you've just dropped by, I'm Ellie! Lego is an artistic medium and no matter your building expertise there is something here for everyone. Stick around and I'll build for you while I review new sets and create my own customs (MOCs). I tend to geek out about new pieces, get excited about learning new and interesting building techniques, giggle too much and just generally ramble. I'm easily distracted so things can get a bit hectic, but I'm sure you're down for that.

Alex the creator of the Super doll Adventures KZhead videos accidently called a male My-Little-Pony character a princess while presenting her collection of My-Little-Pony characters with some little-girl Anna and Elsa dolls.

  • Your commentary is so entertaining! I am sitting here with a big smile on my face and feeling so relaxed listening to you and watching your skill at builiding. Since watching your vidoes (fairly recently compared with how long you have been making them) I have been buying some sets for me and my children. We played a lot with lego when the children were young but now there has been a revival thanks to you! I am 68, the "children" are 48, 37 and 29 lol . Thanks for all your hard work!

    • Actually, Prince Charming is Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty granted yes Sleeping Beauty gives him a name, but overall there are three and jokes and parodies some by disney themselves have been made, example Ever After High, while not disney based it still includes the children of King Charming three being a reference to the fact that there are 3 Prince Charmings in the stories

  • for making trampolines, you could use balloon skin so it would be thinner and much more bouncier for Sophie and Henry's house. I love your videos!!!!

  • Such a lovely set! I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the Snow White fairytale (in my opinion she's singing too much, don't judge me XD), but this set is simply beautiful. I don't remember the story much so I can't answer most of your questions, but I know Snow White has been sleeping across all 7 beds. Also, I think the last part of the build is the glass coffin? 😀 (wow, I never thought I'd use this emoji right after writing the word coffin) ~Wavey ;)

  • Hey Ellie! This set is worth it for the minifigs alone, but the cottage is lovely. Though...(like all Disney sets)no bathroom. Maybe best not to traipse through the woods after dark. By the way, the store where I buy my Lego has put the blind boxes on a 2 for $10CDN sale because they aren't selling. Is that happening anywhere else? And Happy Mother's Day this Sunday, Ellie!🌹💞

  • WOW, it’s massive! And very very pretty. Can’t remember the film here either (and surprised it hasn’t been remade yet), except for a song about soup. I’m curious but I’m also aware the age of it will trigger all my feminist outrage - and is the queen an allegory for middle aged-ness? Because ouch. On that note, happy Mother’s Day for tomorrow!

    • The crone is most definitely an allegory for middle age. I can’t even with the old movies, I’m deliberately ignoring the flaws of the plot and just admiring the pretty otherwise I’ll get very very angry. Which is not helpful during a Lego build 😉
