bulls logo is on another level... not too realistic, but not too cartoonish. not too detailed, but not too simplistic either. compared to some of the other logos from 1960s it was way ahead of its time and still looks good today. there were other iconic logos, but they dont age well and get updated after 10 or 15 years to look more modern or just to sell more team gear.
The Bucks to me are the rare team that recently changed their logo and saw a dramatic increase in quality.

It seems like a lot of the teams now are favoring a logo that resembles a soccer jersey patch. Generally speaking, the designs are going from more artistic and with more realistic animals to more simple or abstract animals (albeit less cartoonish). More of a business man's approach to logos. The Heat's original logo is definitely on fire and I like that the entire ball is in flames. It should've never been changed because it would look just as modern today.
SO dope! The Heat & The Magic are the only one that got worse. Dope to see so many go back to icon older logos. Lakers showing you don't need to change it barely at all. That 2000 - 2010 era was overkill on many of those. Great vid!! The new minimalist "patch" style logos nowadays are excellent.

I think my top 5 would be 1. Bulls 2. 90s Suns 3. 90s Spurs 4. 90s Raptors 5. 90s Magic. (honorable mentions/6-10: Late 90s Sonics, late 90s Rockets, 70s-90s Hawks, late 90s T Wolves and 90s Hornets)

@@oofoof-dx5pxI think the OP meant changing names from an area *very* well known for the 5 Great Lakes (Minneapolis Lakers) and from an area where jazz music was *super* popular (New Orleans Jazz) -- to becoming the Los Angeles Lakers (that one I can kind of understand since we are talking about bodies of water) and the Utah Jazz (Utah is decidedly *not* well known for any jazz scene)
The lakers didnt change because its already 5 titles before move to L.A.

I like how some teams revert to older logos, or different versions of an older logo. It's like they realized they made a mistake when they made the decision to drastically change their logo.

NBA’s logos have been simplified and changed towards European football club logos. I think it is a bad trend.
