Man, he went from having the eyes of a kid to having those soldier eyes. After meeting him I saw his inner monster.

    • @@edelmantoamendola Masvidal is like Nate Diaz. Popular but mediocre. Masvidal was not anywhere close to the top contender, he just had PPV. So the only one worth mentioning was former champ Usman, which he lost twice. BTW if you think it was a draw in the rematch, he would still not gotten the belt. But that’s just considering your opinion, officially he lost. So who else? No body. Colby is a good fighter, but the other guy’s right. Currently, he hasn’t fought anyone (beside Usman) that is elite level. Leon will the next, and it’s his last chance at a title, it’s a big jump. The guy has the mouth doing most the work. Unless he proves the world wrong, he’s like Masvidal. Good but overrated as fuck .

  • Colby's bodykicks are super underrated, he was hurting and wobbling his opponents with those nasty body kicks but for whatever reason he chose to abandon it midway through the fight. Hopefully he utilized it more against Leon because there is no takedown threat from Leon

    @eeQ-san@eeQ-san5 ай бұрын
    • I think you'd be surprised. Leon is well-rounded and has shot takedowns in the past, dude was the first guy to takedown AND control Usman in the UFC. Even Colby couldn't do that. There is absolutely a takedown threat from Leon and he may very well be able to get Colby down and control him from the back. Also it'll be difficult for Colby to land body-kicks against the taller, more technical and elusive striker in Leon. If anything it'll be easier for Leon to land body kicks and in particular, leg kicks against Colby. Leon slowed down Usman with constant leg kicks and stomps, he can do the same to Colby.

  • It's going to be a very interesting, competitive, and barn burner fight regardless of who the winner this I feel. . Leon has the edge In almost every physical stat (except cardio/stamina), higher IQ fighter, better at distance management, fighting off the backfoot, more power In his hands, and obviously Is the better technical striker. But Colbys relentless pace can make that all melt away If he starts to consistently make Leon fear the TD and shoots early and gets on the ground consistently to wear on Leon and make him gas out trying too hard getting out of a dominant position. I have Rocky getting the W, but he needs to take It the full 25 minutes. Because Chaos Is gonna be In his face pushing the pace for as long as possible. Colby obviously doesn't deserve this title shot, but It's hard to dismiss the guy as a fighter. And vice versa same with Leon. UFC ending off the year strong fellas!💯💯💯👊

  • 15:14 probably the one nuance IMO at play here and where I deviate from you is I would echo Colby is indeed Usman lite. But the difference as I see it Usman’s pride possibly may have led him to stand and trade with Leon more rather than take him down and rest on his wrestling laurels. I don’t think Colby would remotely entertain that perceived shame. And while Leon’s TD defense is fantastic, Colby has a history of habitual TD attempts. Sooner or later he’ll get him. So while usman I believe is a better wrestler than Colby, Colby will threaten with it more simply from the threat of the takedown and constant defense & sprawling Leon will need to deploy. Of course that also opens Leon’s bag to punish Colby on the way in. He’ll still have to get close after all. And that’s where I think Colby will pay the price

If he just stays humble, keeps a sense of humor, controls the fight and wins convincingly, and shows utmost respect to his opponent, just the contrast alone with Garry will salvage his reputation. • Great wrestler beats great striker, Colby is like DDP, he looked clumsy in his takedown and sloppy in striking but he always gets the job done.

  • It really needs to be said, for the accuracy of history. Neil Magny did say he was familiar with "whooping" his son as a father. He didn't make a riddle or an analogy, nor did he retract or counter what he said with an explanation--he simply said what he said. Actually, Ian's trash talk was accurate. In this case, none of the blame can be put on Ian for the trash talk against Magny; it was Magny who misspoke (as Magny has admitted in recent interviews).
