  • Kunai was just a tool originally, used by gardeners, carpeniters or even stonemasons. Shinobi warriors had one tendency: to make gardening tools into weapons. Kama (small scythe, sometimes paired), Kusarigama (also small scythe but connected to a weight with a rope) or different types of knives are some examples

While few do use battle axe, it was polearms and sabers were one of the more favored in our history. Search for these names: Định Nam Đao (Dinh Nam Glaive), Ô Long Đao (Black Dragon Guandao), Huỳnh Long Đao (Huynh Long Saber) and Độc Thần Kiếm (Lone God’s sword) Also my translation on the name may or may not be accurate, so please don’t flame

    • shashka isn't russian, it is a cherkessian weapon and it wasn't used by russian army until middle of 19 sentury. Before it russians use variety of sabres (Moscow kingdom), rapiers (Russian empire before 19 century) and karoling type swords (Kievan Rus). And berdiche isn't a double-edged axe, it is just an axe with big and broad heavy blade. Noone in history use a double-edged axe except greece labris and still it was a ritual symbol, not a real weapon. So, double-edged axes is just a fantasy and Hollywood fiction.

  • Actually, the "blow gun" didn't really originate in the Philippines, instead, it was passed on to us by other Austronesian tribes, and we adopted a version of it which fires poisoned darts instead of regular darts (the poison is most commonly extracted snake poison)... However, it is indeed an ancient weapon used by certain Philippine tribes, but its not universally used throughout the Philippines... These weapons are some ancient weapons which originated here, and were used by large and influential Philippine kingdoms (like the Rajahnates of Maynila, Cebu, and Butuan, Lakanate of Tondo, Huangdoms of Mai'yi, Kaboloan, and Fenghuashinan/Pangasinan, Kedatuan of Madja-as, and Sultanates of Suluk/Sulu and Maguindanao/Mindanao) 1.) Espada - a Spanish collective term for all swords used in ancient Philippines, such as the kalis (localized Kris), kampilan, bararao, itak, gunong, barung, etc... 2.) Bolo - collective term for ancient knives and other hand weapons (like the karambit, balisong, galok, tabak-tuyuk/chako, etc) 3.) Sibat - collective term for all the types of spears used by ancient Filipino tribes 4.) Kalasag - collective term for all shields used by ancient Filipino polities... 5.) Lantaka - an ancient small bronze cannon/gun comparable to swivel guns, used primarily as ship armaments... 6.) Luthang - an ancient small bamboo gun, usually used for psychological warfare (to terrify the enemy using loud firing sounds) 7.) Lela - a medium-sized gun/cannon similar to culverins, used to defend fortifications and for naval warfare... 8.) Astinggal - matchlock pistols used by Moros (Sultanates of Sulu and Maguindanao) against the Spanish during the Moro Wars... 9.) Pana - our own versions of bows and crossbows

While I'm here most cultures used spears the Greeks and Romans were proficient in them with the javelin and pilum respectively . Bows and arrows can also be claimed by many cultures the most proficient were the Mongol horsemen , the Native Americans and British archers . Archers cut down swathes of French knighs and infantry in the Battle of Agincourt .

Trident is From India..... Oldest Evidence/painting of Lord Shiva Holding a Trident is from Bhimbetka Rock Shelter which is around 10000bce old. Axe,Bow & Arrow & Spears was invented by early men in stone age...so it doesn't belong to any specific civilization or country .
